WOW, is all I can say! I've been living here for four years now, and even went as far as upgrading to a two bedroom. These apartments are great, a stones throw from the beautiful Cortez Fishing Village and Anna Maria Island. I've lived in many different apartments and the thing that separates Harbor Point from the rest is there amazing staff. The office crew Chiante and Vivian are truly the best. Chiante really cares about the residents and the property, she is truly the backbone of the staff. The maintenance crew is always on point. Josh, Seth, and Doyle are not only good employees but they are great people as well, and jump at the chance to help residents. The staff have gone above and beyond for me on a few different occasions. I have a beautiful lake view where I sit and watch the ducks and the occasional Bald Eagle, from my porch. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I can't tell you how many times I have dosed off while listening to the fountain. As far as residents go, for the most part they are very friendly, and the ones who are not tend to keep to themselves, so that is cool. The best part about the residents is it seems everyone works, and at night are very quiet. It's practically a ghost town during the day, if you have lived in an apartment before you know what I'm trying to get at. We have a very nice pool, gym, laundry facility, and playground as well. I am very glad I chose these apartments, and have referred them to many people. If the staff is reading this I just want to say thank you for everything each and everyone of ya'll have done.

I moved in a 1 bedroom apartment in Aug. and I’ve had a great experience thus far. I’ve needed a few maintenance issues resolved, but the managers are amazing! They are always friendly and attentive to my needs. They listen to all your concerns and work with you to resolve the issues together! I Honestly love this place!
Rude, inconsiderate neighbors. 100 yards to Cortez rd - heavy high speed car traffic during day, drag racing and sirens all night. Adjacent to 24hr car wash (30-40 yds away) with racing engines, spinning tires, blasting music at all hours. Next to carwash is a vet's office with a kennel (40 yds) that boards animals overnight. In the flight path of airplanes landing at Sarasota airport. 17 yds from apartment bedroom window to road/parking - speeding up to 45 mph in parking area, limit is 10; motorcycles, trucks, and atvs with loud mufflers at all hours. A few newer tenants with loud motorcycles fly through the place all the time, staff does nothing. Staff here six days a week and apparently do not care since they do not live here. Unsafe, but especially if you have kids or pets. Staff witness this every day, but do nothing. They have rules, but do not enforce them. People drunk in parking lot 3-5am. Your rent will increase by several hundred dollars per year, so you would expect it to be better, rather than getting worse. People that live in apartments adjacent to the road should be paying much less than those living in the interior. We will be gone when this lease is up. When you see on these review sites the staff wants you to call them and they will address the problem, that is just for show. You can call all you like, nothing will be resolved. As long as they get the rent money, they do not care.

I moved into my small one bedroom apt in September. The place was very clean. I had a new dishwasher and new stove. I have needed maintenance a few times. They have been prompt, friendly (nice to me and my dog), and they fixed the problem. My neighbors are quiet. I am especially thankful for them. The manager gets the job done without stressing out, a huge change from my last apt complex manager whose every notice was marked "URGENT." I love the location. I only wish the rent was a bit lower, and here I am encouraging you! But fair is fair, and Harbour Pointe has met or exceeded my expectations thus far.

Harbour Point is a great neighborhood to live in. The staff is great. The property manger Chiante is the Best. Every time I see her I’m all like yo what up girl. Nah but seriously she handles business. The maintenance crew Josh, Doyle, and Seth are the bees Knees. You’re probably asking yourself how dose this guy know the whole staff, well that’s because they put themselves out there to be known. Saying helllo to the residents every day as we come home from work. If you want to live near the beach and the awesome Cortez fishing village this is your spot. When you come sign your lease tell em Brian sent ya, I may get some referral money and who doesn’t like free money.

This complex is awful, bad, disgusting, disgraceful and management sucks. When they changed management years ago it went from mediocre to miserable. Now there has been another change and it went from miserable to unprofessional and inexperienced management plus new owners. We have asked for things to get done here for years and it doesn't get done in a timely manner. Things like the sprinkler system. With the amount of money people pay for these old apartments they deserve better than lip service. The dump is touted as luxury living apartments with a lake view. Hold on a minute, LAKE? more like a pond! They say it is a 2 acre lake it is not 2 acres. maybe .75 acres. Grass in the back half of the complex is not as well groomed as the office area. Grass is BROWN. There is dog poop in the lawn areas as a lot of the people that walk their mutts do not pick up after them. The buildings are filthy on the outside and mold is growing on the walkways and stair cases. And you have people leaving stuff outside their doors in the common areas and others that are using their lanai as a storeroom. It is unsightly. Management does not enforce the rules as they make them up as they go along. Some renters have more people in their apartments than the LAW allows. There is a reason why there are only 2 people per bedroom allowed to be living in these apartments. It took them almost a month to clean up after Irma. That is unacceptable. Bottom line, this could be a really nice place if management was more professional and just clean up. But they don't get it...
Place never gets things done. I've asked for several things to be fixed. I requested screens in my window 4 months ago. Still have none. An updated unit with missing knobs, shelves in the cabinets. Have been promised shelving in the laundry room, never got those. 2 water leaks and ceiling still has a hole in it. Landscaping is horrible and since the new property manager took over, we now have a guy with a push mower that takes forever to cut the grass so needless to say you can't sit outside on your patio cause of the noise and debris. Sprinkler systems don't work still after 7 months of supposingly getting a new pump. The trash is always over flowing. Still have piles of tree brush from hurricane and tress down. Place is just a dump. Definitely not worth the money. If you tour ask them to show you the whole property. The only nicely landscaped part is by the office. The gym was 24 hrs now it's only accesible from 8am till 8pm. The visitor spots are used by holding trash and brush, n don't think of parking in another spot cause the property gets kick back from tow company. Place is fire prone. 2 buildings on fire in 1 yr. It's a mess here!! Run and check out others for better bang for your buck.
We have been here almost a year and are getting ready to renew our lease. I saw a review mentioning " loud music, noise, and bums". We have NOT experienced a problem with "noise and bums". Our experience has been very positive and we have wonderful neighbors. There is a beautiful lake and fountain on the complex grounds. The location is within walking distance of shopping and close enough to ride bikes to the beach. We would also like to say the staff have been great as well. D. Smith
This place is horrible just a nightmare. I highly recommend not living here, unless you enjoy low income bums that don't care. The neighborhood is disgusting and the people are worse. I've been living here for almost 2 years now and I regret resigning my lease because this place is terrible. People constantly yelling and screaming at the pool all day long, I can never have a quiet day, people fly through this neighborhood in their cars, neighbors are bums! Management is even worse, they don't care about the residents, don't enforce the rules and even break their own rules here! Stay away, stay away!

I've lived here for a couple of months now and I can say that it is a very nice place to live. I haven't had any problems with my neighbors and the facility is perfect for my first place. I think rent is a bit high since my apartment doesn't come with a washer and dryer but there is laundry on site which is nice but at times inconvenient. The office staff is helpful but I wish I could get a heads up before maintenance comes to my apartment to fix something. All in all, I think it's a nice place to live.
This apartment is minutes away from the beautiful west coast beaches. In addition, you are close to fine dining as well as fast food dining. There a nearby outdoor shopping places/malls. The grounds are nicely landscaped and well maintained. The staff in general is courteous and helpful. The pool area and other surroundings boasts a tropical-like feel that makes everyday feel like a vacation. It's like having your own slice of paradise.
