Property Ratings at Harmon Square
As soon as the complex switched over the ResProp Management, the level of professionalism declined. They don't return your security deposit. A/C units are very outdated, security issues (there was a shooting across from me), people break into the mailboxes, parking is horrible and there are bug problems.

Ongoing rodent infestation since at least November 2021 and now we've been without gas or hot water for 4 days with no signs of it being fixed any time soon. Property manager has shut off all contact numbers and will not reply to texts, voicemails, or emails. Very shady management company (ResProp Management); not even Austin Code Enforcement can get in contact with them.

The apartment has an unchecked pest problem that management has entirely failed to bring under control. Roaches and beetles especially. The sad thing is, this would be a great place otherwise. Lots of the apartments were recently updated, and the location is nice. But you'll have to spend that time with a lot of six legged roommates.
Multiple apartments smell like weed, trash everywhere. Walls are fairly thin, so you will hear your neighbor. Property management is non-responsive, and has changed 3 times within 4 months. Not a safe place to stay regarding property such as vehicles or bicycles. A/C comment below is accurate, even with upgrades to have multiple in each room. Location is only positive for this property, not worth the issues.
Had to call the cops on my crack head neighbors when I woke up to a strange man passed out in front of my door. Ultimately ended up canceling the lease and moving early due to sewage flooding in my apartment that they couldn’t seem to fix. Also, the ac sucks haha.
Beware. Do NOT rent here. Units are indeed remodeled with stackable washer/dryer, which is nice but not for the price and the other terrible facets of the apartment you'll have to endure. There is absolutely no insulation between apartments so you will hear every step, every voice, every noise from your neighbors and there are NO consequences to residents for continued disturbances, even late at night. A/C units are very unreliable -- sometimes not even turning on -- and very low functioning. You will sweat your guts out during the summer and they will do nothing to fix the issue. All of the appliances are repaired through an outside contractor, so expect to miss several hours of work should you need anything repaired. (The contractors do not have a key to your apartment.) Expect to wait several weeks for appliance repairs. There is a ton of broken glass, rusted sharp metal pieces and nails, and other construction debris in the "pet area," which is unsafe to pets and people. The security gate is also chronically broken, so it's pretty much a joke. Do not put your money here!
Basically if you live on the first floor you wont get any sleep because you can hear every step from your upstairs neighbors and the walls are super thin.
I do really love this apartment. After the remodel, the appliances are new, the walls are freshly painted, everything looks lovely. I wish the apartment got a little more natural light but overall it's very nice and cozy. The washer /dryer in unit is very convenient and the pet policy is one of the best in town. HOWEVER, I can't give this apartment a high rating because of the AC. I was excited when I saw the unit had a mini-split system because they're very energy efficient, but those types of AC units are intended to be in EVERY room. The entire apartment only has one AC unit in the living room and because of the way the apartment is laid out, the cool air never makes it to the bedrooms in the back. They say there is a fan in the attic that sucks cold air from the living room into the bedroom but all that does is run up your electric bill. The room would get so hot during the miserable Texas summers, we ended up sleeping in the living room a lot. Honestly, I would love to stay here but the AC makes living here unbearable in the summer.
Currently under new management, terrible! No parking space, had to park three times outside the apartments on the street curve because parking was full, with cars that has no parking stickers. Watch the tow truck came once and all he did was drive in and out, never got off to check if cars had parking stickers. The Pet Station is always full, poop bags all over the area, had to call in twice to ask to clean up. Third time calling and they have not come to clean, no maintenance on the property!
I rented there short term during work assignment in Austin. Very nice and clean unit and community. Nice neighbors left and right. And best of all, this is the only place I can find with this price range, centrally located equipped with FULL SIZE stackable washer dryer. It saves it so much time and money than having to go to community laundry that usually breaks all the time.
Every night the trash pickup comes at midnight or later and slams the dumpster down. It sounds like Michael Bay is making the next Transformers movie in the parking lot, only there's more trash and even less acting talent. Awful experience.
This new Place looks nice. Very conveniet to every where. Walking distances to my favorite sushi joint KOME.Everything is new .Washer and dryer in my unit makes it convenient.
