Property Ratings at Harpeth River Oaks
My experience here has been great! The ladies Courtney, Shara and Sophia are really helpful and give great customer service. In my renewal time I didn’t want to move, but wanted a second floor. Courtney called regularly and gave me updates on every second floor coming available. Finally I got a second floor in my same building and the whole move in to my home went smoothly. Maintenance is really helpful and Brandon always comes to help out when needed. The best thing here is the friendly service you get and my neighbors who are always taking care of each other. Location is nice looking too and they keep it looking good

We are so pleased to receive your 5-star review! We try our very hardest to make sure our residents are well taken care of, and your review lets us know we're doing it well! We're excited you've chosen Harpeth River Oaks as your home and look forward to giving you the same exceptional service year after year!
This property has a (well-deserved) reputation for bugs. Everything from spiders to giant cockroaches. They've changed pest control companies but it doesn't help. Not to mention, the landscaping looks absolutely terrible. Dead patches of grass and huge spots of bare dirt all over. Yet somehow they're able to wake me up multiple times a week by running a lawnmower and hedge trimmer outside my bedroom window at 8am. They've gone through at least 5 different office staff members in the last few years, I don't think there's a single one still here from when I moved in.
This place is amazing. I just ended my 2 year lease, but I’m sad to leave. The staff were very friendly throughout my time there. The place was newly renovated when I had moved in and the quality of the amenities were very nice. My only issues were the kids running rampid after school destroying things and throwing rocks at cars. The issue seemed to get resolved fairly quickly and when I had terminated my lease it took me 11 days to officially move out after the next month started (they were very kind a lenient about it) but I was only staying there 3 of the 11 days And somehow I end up getting charged for an 80$ eltricity bill? I made sure to turn absolutely everything off. I won’t pay for the workers to renovate in AC, that is what the complex should pay for, not the residents. Just make sure you turn it off as soon as possible.

The new leasing specialist is rude to the core. No consideration for these people to the how long you have stayed. Are ready to loose renter even if he has good credit rating. I think they have problem if you are trying to renew lease for less than a year. I could not use my one bedroom and attached bathroom or more than 1.5 months after I moved last year in May. The whole bathroom was stinking due to blockage from inside and it took two attempts and about 1.5 months to remedy the problem. I gave 1 rating because I had too , otherwise not more than 0.5 worth. They won't leave a dime when it their turn, will try to exploit every single opportunity out of the renter.
The 3 bedroom apartment we live in is nicely updated with modern appliances and fixtures. We are are close to shopping and expressways while keeping a quiet, family friendly atmosphere. The club house and pool are fantastic! It's so beautiful here, I feel like I am staying at a resort everyday. Being smoke-free and pet friendly makes life here even better. I would recommend this community to anyone looking for a peaceful place to live.
Alara River Oaks is A) very clean, B) reasonably priced, C) modern without being cold, and D) run by some of the nicest people on the planet! The upgrades being installed are amazing, but the apartments were great even before. I live in a second floor, one bedroom that is larger than anything I've ever rented before. The kitchen is spacious, the bathroom is huge with a garden tub and the bedroom has a balcony (swoon!).
This is not the place to live if you want to live with a host of problems. My family just moved from the complex into our new home. The office staff is rude if you call with questions or concerns. They tenants like children and talk down to them. Often times we could not even get a return call from the office staff when we had a maintenance issue. The apartments are infested with bugs, spiders and ants depending on the season. Some of the buildings have mice in the cold months. Our family lived in the complex for five years. In the last few years, we noticed that the buildings were starting to need repairs. Plus, things were breaking more frequently within our apartment. This complex is not new anymore. We were happy to move and I would not suggest anyone living here!!!!
My family and I moved here in Oct 2012, and we love it. First, they are quick to respond to any request. For example, I submitted a maintenance request at 10am one morning to have the trees trrimmed near my apartment, as it was slightly blocking the walk way. around. By the time I came home from work the same day, the trees had been trimmed, just as I requested. Second, everytime I talk to anyone in the leasing office they are friendly and professional. Third, the office staff give the residents a community get together several times throughout the year. Its a great way to get to know people. Speaking of the residents, the people here are so friendly. There is a diverse grooup of residents and everyone is friendly with everyone. There are so many other great things to write, but there's limited space to write.
