Proximate to three national forests, Chico has been designated a Tree City USA for 31 years running by the National Arbor Day Foundation.
In addition to the tranquil seclusion of the natural area, Chico offers residents access to a host of amenities.

Property Ratings at Harvest Park
Life was great here when we had someone in the office who treated the people who live here as though this was their home. Now we are all feeling like we live on a military base. They want our porch areas to be sterile, as though no one lives here. There are many beautiful porch gardens and a playhouse or two for little ones. They want all that gone. I have also heard of complaints about agreements made with the previous manager not being honored and of 3-day notices being given for late fees. That's illegal. The people who live here make up a pretty decent community. No one tried to make a community here, it just happened. We look out for each other, run off caners and thieves. watch eachother's kids, and share time out in the common areas. There are many times when there are 30 or more people in our small grass area in the evening just playing ball or talking. We don't like troube here and we wont tolerate it. Now we have these bullies coming here trying to push people around. I'm not sure for what reason but it is awful.
These apartments were great, except for the noise from upstairs tenants, just a tot lot, no playground was ever added. As of this week, there is no on-site maintenance, they have no pool service, so the pool is green now. They got rid of their wonderful manager, and the person who is taking over is rude and acts like a dictator. The apt "rules" make for a year lease at the most, can't have too many plants on the patio, or any toys for the children. Inspections 4 times per year, and you can't hang a shade for the 150 degree door handle. No satellite can work, because it's against the rules to attach anything to the building. Sloppy construction, cheap appliances. The rent is okay, but the stress is not worth it.
