Property Ratings at Haven 124 at Eastlake Station
I moved into my apartment October 1, 2023. I have not had a kitchen light since my move in date, 7 weeks ago. I have talked with Mike and Kim and Kim again and filled out maintenance requests. Did not have heat for 5 days. Horrible management!!! Joyce

Hello, It's disappointing to hear that you've faced multiple challenges. We understand the inconvenience you're facing due to the delays in service requests and are committed to improving our maintenance response times. While we can't resolve all these issues here and now, please know that your feedback is invaluable for our ongoing efforts to improve. If you would like to go over this or any other concerns, our office can be reached at 303-920-9630 or info@secpropres.com. We are happy to help. Best regards, SPR Customer Care Team
This is one of the worst complexes you will ever experience - especially for the amount residents pay in rent. Communication from office to maintenance is non-existent. Constant maintenance needs, damages, floods, amenities not functioning, pests, etc. Many people currently living there experience the same issues. Car ports literally falling over. Horrible neighbors in every building it seems. If you are a good tenant and pay your rent in time, you still get the short end of the stick opposed to the tenants who literally squat for months. Found black mold while moving out after being told by management that they verified themselves. Disgusting. Management will say that they reviewed maintenance requests that were not taken care of. Very disappointed in our time living at this complex.
Horrible communication and they overcharge you for everything. Plus they won’t return your security deposit so don’t bother giving them one!!!! Please save your money and put them out of business.

Hi Ali, We respectfully disagree with your comments and would like to address the incorrect information you shared in your review. You were charged rent and utilities in accordance with your lease - no more, no less. Additionally, the remainder of your security deposit was returned to you on 03/24 /22 after final utilities and damages were deducted. If you have not received it yet, please let me know and I will be happy to verify your forwarding address and look into it further. Sincerely, - Wes McCoy, Community Manager
horrible management, they have no manners. They are careless, and this complex isn’t safe anymore!! No one fixes anything, no one cleans outside and renters are sketchy. Seems like no background check anymore!! Police cars come up daily, two shootings already with one dead person. And a very expensive complex!

Hi there, Thank you for taking some time to leave us feedback regarding your experience at the community. While I am saddened to hear your experience wasn't what you expected, I can assure you we do care and that we perform credit and criminal checks on all persons interested in calling us home. I am also happy to share we have a fully-staffed maintenance team and our new groundskeeper is doing a great job keeping the common areas cleaned up. We are sorry if you previously had to wait a little for any maintenance items to get repaired; we were doing the absolute best we could through the labor shortage in Denver. If you have any specific areas of the grounds you feel need attention, or need maintenance performed inside your home, please do not hesitate to let us know and we will send someone by. Most Sincerely, Wes McCoy, Community Manager
Mike was amazing and helped a lot well I was there. Although he is the only one that was like this. This place was literally the worst and I dreaded coming home. Something was always broken and they took forever to fix. My 4 month old baby and me were in a very hot apartment with no a/c and did not come for over 2 weeks until I started calling everyday literally every hour. I could keep going on and on how bad it is but that would take forever. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!

Hi there, Thank you for taking some time to leave us feedback regarding your experience at the community. We do strive to make every resident's experience at the community a positive one and I would like to get some more details from you regarding any pending service requests you may have. We do recognize there were some delays with getting maintenance completed and we were doing the best we could throughout the labor shortage. I am happy to share that our maintenance team is fully staffed and we have a fantastic new service supervisor! Would you mind giving me a call at 303.920.9630 so we can chat further and try to turn things around for you? I would greatly appreciate it! My Very Best, Wes McCoy, Community Manager
The maintenance department is very unorganized. We moved in at the beginning of June and were told our apartment had been renovated, yet our AC went out 7 weeks later in late July (which was 2 days ago as I write this) with temps at 90+ degrees. I placed a repair order request first thing, then another several hours later, and after hearing nothing from maintenance after roughly 7 hours, went to the office to complain to the front desk. I was told there were over 200 repair orders, and mine was probably near the bottom, but he would contact the maintenance supervisor and have her contact me. Two hours later I still hadn't been contacted, so I went to complain again. This time I spoke to a leasing agent who called maintenance and asked if anyone had time to check my AC. Clearly this issue was not treated as emergent, because apparently there is no system for prioritizing repair orders. I have never lived at a complex where AC failure in the summer is not addressed immediately, and I have no doubt if I hadn't gone to speak to the leasing agent, I would still be waiting.

Hi there, Thank you for taking some time to leave us feedback regarding your experience. Obviously, we want to make sure every resident is happy and I'd like to take a minute to address your concerns. Our maintenance team is trying very hard to keep up with all work orders and emergency requests. I am happy to hear you had working A/C for for a while before needing to call in about it. Unfortunately, mechanical things break down. There are times when we have multiple emergencies come up in the same day that we must address first before we can move on to the next one. I do understand you had to wait a bit for your A/C to get fixed and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get everyone taken care of the best we can. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or visit us in the leasing office. Thank you! - Wes McCoy, Community Manager
Me and my girlfriend have been living in this complex for a little over 8 months now. In that time span our hot water has gone out 5 times, we’ve had our mail and packages stolen, there have been 2 shootings and 1 murder on site, and this morning we were threatened to have our cars towed due to having a small crack in our windshield. Frankly, if you are expecting good community service, this is NOT the place for you

Hi there, Thank you for taking some time to leave us feedback regarding your experience. I am disappointed to hear it hasn't been what you expected and would like the opportunity to turn things around for you. As you may remember from the email that went out to the community, we do not tow for cracked windshields; our patrol service made this mistake when patrolling for inoperable and abandoned vehicles. This has since been remedied, however if you experience any further issues, please let us know. Regarding your hot water and the mail, would you mind giving me a call so I can gather some further details from you? We certainly want to make sure our residents are taken care of to the best of our ability and do not want to leave anything outstanding for you. The number you can reach me at is 303.920.9630. Thank you! - Wes McCoy, Community Manager
I really enjoyed living here at first, but now it is crime ridden. You'll have to get a PO box because the mailboxes get broken into every week and the leasing office "doesn't have it in their budget" to improve them. I have had to file two police reports in two months for theft and someone trying to get into my apartment while I was home (I have never had to call the police in my life before this, and this doesn't include the mail theft). I like the apartment itself and don't want to move, but have to because of crime and the people who manage this place. This is the worst place I have lived by far, and I thought it was going to be the best. Maintenance has always been good to me though.

Hi there, Thank you for taking some time to leave us a review. I am sorry to hear your experience hasn't been what you've expected and would love the opportunity to try and turn things around for you. This is my first week as your new community manager and am committed to addressing everyone's concerns. I can certainly appreciate your frustrations with the mailboxes, as well. Unfortunately, this issue something that is happening around city, especially with the arrival of stimulus checks. Would you mind giving me a call in the office at 303.920.9630 so we can talk about this further? I will also be sure to share your sentiments with the maintenance team who always love to hear when their efforts don't go unnoticed! Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you! - Wes McCoy, Community Manager
They were putting in a new water heater for my apartment and the vendor didn't show up for the last 2 days when the work was expected to be done. All I wanted was an updated timeline but they did not provide that. I wasn't upset that the work was going to take longer I was upset that they wouldn't answer my questions or even acknowledge my concern as it was below freezing every night and I didn't have any heat... This is just one example of many. They don't sweep the breezeways or maintain the grounds at all. There will always be trash around the complex and if you point this out you'll be lucky if you don't get hung up on.

Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. So happy to hear Mike was able to help you find the perfect apartment home. Please let us know if there is anything else you need. Best, Rob Pell Community Manager Haven 124
You get what you pay for at this complex - corporate owned leasing company that doesn't give a hoot for their residents, only their profits. They will woo you with the nice tours and the fancy units and the cool amenities but once you've signed a lease and paid your rent faithfully and been a good tenant they will screw you over. The rent increase each year for the last 3 years has been moderately reasonable, but this calendar year the new ownership has seen fit to raise my rent an unfathomably crazy rate of $284 more a month, and now I have been fully priced out over my budget and must move elsewhere. Not much effort was made by management to work with us on this and I'm honestly offended that they pushed the rent this high in the first place. I do not even have one of the newly renovated "luxury" apartments, which would make the new rate slightly more palatable if I could at least live in an apartment with nice amenities. I think the company ought to be ashamed of itself for this outrageously high jump in rent prices after three years of reasonable rate increases. For this ridiculously bloated rate of rent I get an apartment with old carpet and bad drywall, faucets that routinely leak and a heat/AC system that hardly works. One of the bedrooms is either 20 degrees colder or hotter than the rest of the apartment depending on the season. Management has changed twice since I've lived here and each time the handoff process has been a nightmare for residents. The "gated" community we supposedly pay extra for is not gated. The gates have not worked properly since 2016 and one of them is open 24 hours a day. Once a broken gate was stuck open at an odd angle and I actually damaged the side of my car having to squeeze around it. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing and disgusting. Parking is nonexistent if you arrive home later than 7pm. Sidewalks are rarely shoveled and the gutter above my exterior door drips and causes serious ice problems on the sidewalk. There's dog poop all over the grounds. Once a van of squatters took up residence in the parking lot (thanks to the open gates) and management did not remove them for several days. I will say that the maintenance crew is usually very responsive and polite and Mike in the leasing office is really awesome, but it is usually a struggle to reach someone on the phone if you have to call the office.

Would never live here again nor recommend to anyone else. Moved in mid-month in June and was misinformed about the pet fees when we did our application. The front office waived one pet fee (we have two dogs) in order to compensate for that. Rent has been paid in full, on time every month but still received a failure to pay notice (NOT ITEMIZED) in August. We contacted the office as to what the amount was and was told it was move-in fees and we hadn't paid our initial application/admin fees (we had but were told they were not applied to our account). Contacted front office again and was told that we could bring in the receipts whenever the office manager (who only works Monday through Friday 10-5:30.....) was there, but it wasn't a big deal and didn't need to worry about it. Came home to an EVICTION notice on our door for failure to pay with an additional $200 added for "late fees". Contacted the office manager and was told because they are selling the property and did an audit we owed the additional pet deposit DESPITE the fact that we had one waived. Their excuse is the person who made the initial mistake had been fired and they are no longer honoring that. TERRIBLE. Also, maintenance shows up when they feel like it to make repairs even when you have an appointment. They will lie and say they showed up when they didn't and then close out your tickets and make you resubmit to try and get things repaired. The other tenants are terrible (loud and rude) and trashy. No one cleans up after their pets, or themselves. There is constantly trash left in our breezeway. Our downstairs neighbors have an indoor couch in the space outside their patio and people leave things all over common areas. I can't wait to move out and wash my hands of this place and would never live here again.
This place was horrible! Never the same staff member in the office twice. No one knows what they are doing. We asked them to fill out a rental verification form so we could buy a house. We dropped the document off twice. It took many calls and emails to finally get it done. We turned in our keys early and they called us after our lease ended asking where the keys were. Today, I finally get a final statement from them and they charged me $50 for drywall repair, $60 to replace blinds and $210 to re-glaze a tub. We did not damage any of these items. In fact, we left the apartment much cleaner than it was when we moved in. Toilets had wooden shims sticking out from under them. One kept breaking and flooding our bathroom. They entered our apartment without our permission and forgot to switch the power in the water heater closet back on. When we returned it was 50 degrees in our apartment (it was December). The hot tub was closed nearly the whole time we lived there. We had mice in our garage. Windows and doors did not lock appropriately. Blinds did not function correctly. It was supposed to be a renovated apartment but it had the original tubs, vanities, cabinets, etc. They were just painted and not painted well. I could go on and on. Don’t make the same mistake we did. You will regret it!
The community does have a lot of amenities, etc. that could be attractive to others. Washer and dryer in unit are a plus.
It's a good community and I appreciate the timely response in regards to getting something repaired. The last time I had something repaired was done quickly as well.
The staff at this apartment are great. The only problem I've seen is with residents. But honestly that is people in general and you can't fix that. :)
I would recommend this place with the amenities that are given and the front office help are great,
I have and would again recommend haven 124 due to the excellent customer service. The staff went abobe and beyond to getbme moved in.
Maintenance personnel have always been friendly, courteous, etc. Placed the request and within an hour later maintenance is there to check out the smoke dector battery, etc.
The marijuana issue with my upstairs neighbor is still killing my lungs and I can't use my balcony or keep my windows open anytime he's out there. When it comes in from the kitchen vent, sometimes I have to leave my home.
It's a nice place, and great layout. The halls are very dirty, with lots of animal feces, trash, and cigarette butts left all over the place and in front of doors. People don't pick up the dog stuff and let their dogs roam alone outside.
The Apartments are welcoming and presentable and management is striving to keep the community a clean and classy place.
yes
The grounds are very dirty. The pet stations haven?t been emptied in about 2 weeks and are overflowing onto the ground. There is also a lot of dog poop on the grounds that never gets picked up.
Eveyone I come into contact with at this complex is great. Great people working here.
I've had too many problems here with the gates, the EGG, asphalt repairs and rude or uncaring treatment by some of the office staff. I am afraid there is no going back from my opinion at this point, barring a miracle.
Wow!if I could give 11 I would/ staff are nice and knowledgeable and ready to resolve any issue.
Overall I found this a great place to live. There were a few issues with the community gates and cleanliness around the common areas but it was a good place for us.
Overall it is a good place to live. Leasing office staff is friendly and respectful.
Affordable and in good location. But the overall curb appeal and quality of the common areas is declining.
The new prices and availability of parking would discourage me from recommending this complex to anyone.
The apartment complex is clean and we'll designed. The owners and management are doing everything to improve our living experience. I have already recommended Haven 124 to some friends.
I think the prices are to high, the grounds are not maintained on a daily basis. people destroy the property and there is seems to security for the property.
Reading through these other reviews that are very negative about Griffis North Metro, I can't see it. Have I ever been unhappy with certain situations, sure, but overall, this has been a great place to live. My 2 children and I moved in after a divorce and we have been here for 8 years. Half of my children's lives. I lived here for it was in district for the schools that I needed. It was the Gleneagles back then....then it turned into someone else and the company was unforgiving and not very nice. Then a couple years ago Griffis bought the complex and turned it completely around! They painted and remodeled the clubhouses and fixed up all sorts of things. The staff, including Mike who was the one that got me into this place at the beginning 8 years ago, are great!! They have a set of rules that their hands are tied to, but they are more friendly and accommodating than a lot of apartments. I wouldn't let the super negative reviews affect your decision to live here. Just keep in mind that it is apartment living and if you go in with that understanding it will be great for you and your family!! This is a great location and has great floor plans and 9 ft ceilings....you won't be disappointed. The newly remodeled units are great, mine isn't, but I wish it was remodeled. I love my 2 car attached garage, makes it like a house. There is also a brand new dog washing station for short and tall dogs that is very convenient for a quick bath!! We have gates that will be operational soon and the light rail that will be operational across the street at the end of 2018. Come and take a look, give Griffis a chance!! You will love living here.....((I am honestly a resident of 8 years and not staff)) Thanks for listening...!!
For the price, these apartments are one of the best values in the metro Denver area. The apartments are very nice with all updated fixtures. There are 2 very nice and very well kept pools, and the maintenance staff is really great. There are plenty of open spaces if you have pets as well. The only downside to these apartments is that the walls are very thin, and you often hear the people above you. If you're looking for a quite place, definitely get one on the 3rd floor. Parking can also be a problem if you get home late in the evening.
Found this place online. Came in everything was real nice and the way they show layouts is on a big screen tv. Mike in particular is very knowledgeable and helpful. Outside apartment are always clean. Their is constantly people out cleaning and it's very animal friendly. I haven't lived in apartments in over 5 years and I love this place.
There are so many desirable amenities at Griffis North Metro Apartments. The apartments themselves are welcoming and comfy, and so well maintained that I feel like I'm being catered to. The staff is always so helpful and constantly improving the complex and their service. They just remodeled the two amazing clubhouses, both with pools and grills, great for relaxing and entertaining families and bachelors alike, and are currently adding a gate to our little community. The area surrounding has equally as much to offer. It's not hard to find places to eat and shop, just a few blocks away. I couldn't have gotten any luckier finding this place and plan on staying here a very long time.
I moved to Griffis North Metro a little over three years ago while going through a divorce. It was a hard and scary time for me, living alone with two little girls for the first time in my life. Not only are there a great deal of wonderful families with other kids, but, I feel safe. My girls can ride their bikes or play at the park without a worry. There are great pools and gas grills, not to mention the newly renovated fitness center. The management is super friendly and maintenance is always quick to take care of my requests (even if it's a simple as replacing a light bulb). I really cannot compliment Griffis North Metro enough, it helped the transition of a difficult situation and made my girls and I feel like we not only found a safe place to live, but a HOME.
