Nestled in between university boulevards, expansive parkland, crowded apartment complexes and a bustling entertainment district, the Northeast Dallas neighborhood is a dense residential area made up of primarily one-story ranch-style homes. Manicured yards and quiet streets belie this community's close proximity to downtown Dallas, only 17 minutes and less than eight miles away. White Rock Lake and the park that surrounds it are widely used by cyclists, joggers, and nature enthusiasts. The shops and restaurants of Upper Greenville, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Dallas, add charm and liveliness to the Northeast Dallas district.

Property Ratings at Haven Apartments
Friendly staff, nice gym, covered parking. Looks like a nice place to rent at.
I have been a resident for three years. I love living here. It may have some aesthetic flaws and does not have amenities found in newer complexes. However, it is an ideal location and quite affordable compared to other places in the metroplex. With monies saved from higher rents, it affords me extra money for entertainment/pleasures. The current manager, Norma and her assistant, Diane, plus their maintenance crew are quick to address issues.
My apartment has everything I need. I’m super close to fun and shopping and can use the money I’m not spending on rent for those things. The management has gotten back to me quickly on repairs. It’s a nice place to live with nice neighbors.
I've lived at Park Beverly five months. The management is very accommodating and other residents are friendly. It is an excellent space for the price, a great option if you want to live close to work and not pay a fortune.
I've owned my home since since January 2006 in Tennessee and it's been rented out for over 10 years. I've successfully rented several apartments in Dallas (my job is here) since that time with no issues. I have ZERO Evictions or Broken Leases. However when I called the leasing manager to ask about rental requirements she told me that because I have a home in my name (it's out of state) I would have to pay close to $3,000.00 as a deposit 'just because'. I've never had to pay a deposit in my life even with owning the home and I was shocked to hear that I would need to pay such a large deposit. This was on top of a $350 admin fee and a $65 dollar application fee. I wouldn't have minded paying 6 months rent in advance but I'm leery of such a large deposit because often people have to fight- to get deposits returned. Apartment communities look for any reason possible to keep it. But I was shocked at this. I have no car note. No credit card debt. My mortgage payment is $489 per month on a three bedroom 2 brick bath home. The tiny 388 sq ft apartment here in Dallas will cost almost TWICE that amount. So I wonder why she was so freaked out with my having a mortgage? Its like someone having a car note. Would that freak her out too? Totally strange situation. Oh well they've lost a really good tenant with a stellar rental history. I'll move on. (Note: For some reason this page cuts short my sentences and duplicates other sentences.)
I don't live here but I've driven past these apartments several times a week for many years. Glad to see someone is coming in to renovate them. (I'm sitting across the street in the Half Price Books lot and saw the new signs.) One rental site says the location is "uptown"...it most definitely is not. Not even close. So if you're looking for an uptown space, this isn't it. It is "close" to the DART rail but it's still a walk of a few blocks and across busy Greenville avenue. The photos above don't reflect the work that's been done. It's definitely been cleaned up. I see new awnings and windows/window treatments. The photos of the inside look small, but nice. They have a bit of charm if you like older buildings and don't want a cookie cutter complex. The neighborhood is a bit iffy, but it's Dallas (iffy is always just around the corner) but this complex stands alone and away from the cluster of dozens of complexes up the street that could use a serious cleanup. It's literally across the street from Half Price, REI, Starbucks, and right next to to 2 great little local restaurants. 2 blocks off Greenville/Park Lane and 75. Good location...best mall ever is just on the other side of the freeway. Why am I writing this review? Because I love that someone is trying to renovate this little complex instead of tearing it down for another drive through bank or a gas station or fast food place. I think it would be a great place for a student or a young person just getting out on their own. Good luck!
