Property Ratings at Haven Cove Townhomes
I love my open kitchen and spacious living room! The neighborhood is quiet and well taken care of. I love the attentive office staff! It really does feel like home.
Reasons why I would NOT recommend living here. 1. Location. There’s no close grocery stores or decent fast food places. The traffic is also a problem. I sit forever waiting to turn left to go out. 2. No communication from the office staff. You’re hard pressed to find anyone working and that includes a maintenance person. Sometimes the maintenance people forget to leave out their garbage for pick up. What kind of example is that? 3. The amenities aren’t that great. The pool is small, the guest house is small and not that grand. Tour other apartments in the area and you’ll see this is true. The dog park is also pitiful. Some apartments have an agility course for dogs in their dog park. 4. The townhomes have cheap materials. The windows are so thin you can not only hear the outside, but you can feel it. Horrible insulation. I also noticed a clover mite bug infestation in my windows. As well as mosquitoes and gnats because of the lights by the windows. The wasps bother me the most. All over the rain gutters and in my garage. So, no… they don’t do pest control. 5. There was a rule when I moved in and it is in my contract all dogs must be 25lbs or less. No vicious dog breeds. Well, uh… why are there German Shepards, Pit Bulls and other big dogs? There also was a strict noise ordinance that you can’t make noise after 10pm. Guess what? Fight in the street with your homeboy or your girlfriend and nothing will happen. This is the most lax apartment building you could live in. Although, that’s probably due to the vacant townhomes nobody is renting or moving into. Can’t disturb neighbors you don’t have. So, please, don’t fall for the same trap I did. There’s a reason so many people are not renewing their leases and moving out and nobody is moving in. The five star reviews on google are not real. They were incentives. The people who left those reviews got prizes.
There’s no on-site maintenance workers since property was sold. The maintenance worker before had been here since I moved in and really made the place a positive place to live and was so helpful. Seeing him gone I can’t tell you how much that hurt. Nobody picks up their dogs poop anymore. Nobody is held accountable for their trash or garbage. The only person that works is someone who collects the rent and that’s it. No emails about community updates and no community events period. Haven’t even seen landscapers and it’s starting to look like an abandoned waste land. The new owners are in California and the property managers are based out of Salt Lake. There use to be security as well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this townhome community turns into a dangerous crime ring. Weekends are the worst. So noisy and clearly a bunch of drunk people getting into their cars at 4 am Friday and Saturday night. Tons of kids roaming the streets as cars go at least 40 mph. Waiting for a fatality. Which now that no one is maintaining the community I am sure will be soon. This USE to be a nice place to live, but I can’t tell you how horrible this new owner/management property is. For what I pay I’m not getting anything for my money. I ended up buying a gym membership because it was too much of a hassle getting into the gym and nobody maintains it. I hate that I’m paying lots of money for amenities and I’m not using any. What a rip off. Unless they do massive positive changes and build community trust this apartment complex will turn into one of THE worst places to live in Ogden.
Have you ever dealt with ignorance? The management team here is the worst I've ever had to deal with. My wife and I have asked neighbors if they agree and my entire building has come to the conclusion that the manager here seems so unhappy that she makes everyone else that way with pointless fines and violations. On top of this, there is hardly any guest parking and the streets are not large enough for 2 cars at once. People let their kids ride bikes in the street rather than the side walk and I'm sure one may get hit one day. Plus, there is loud construction going on and no one is discounted to deal with that. I do not recommend this place.

I am one of the first ever residents of Haven Cove Townhomes and I can honestly say they have made this a smooth and wonderful transition. The leasing manager (the one who showed me around and did all my paperwork with me) Jardy has been 100% helpful with any and all problems or questions I've had. It's a beautiful house, everything has worked perfectly so far. And I cant wait to watch this little community grow.
