I am happy to report that the people mentioned in the previous “bad management” reviews don’t seem to work here anymore! Our management and maintenance staff are lovely and very attentive to issues.The complex is gorgeous and the gym better than most. I would recommend it for sure!

DO NOT MOVE HERE! This is a horrible apartment complex. They will attempt to fine you for everything possible, including leaving decorations up at your own residence which you pay rent for. The complex across the street is much better. Better gym, parking, and more space. This complex has a very unprofessional move in process. Trash is only picked up some days, yet they still like to threaten to fine people.

Don’t move here, management with Dashonna and her staff has gone way downhill, if you aren’t an attractive man needing help they will yell at you like dirt. By the way the “cafe” no longer has a Starbucks machine or computers, printers to use since she took over. Parking is NOT covered, it’s $35 per year and vehicle. Guest have to be logged in every time they park which is such a hassle and the leasing gives you a hard time with it when the app isn’t working. Everyone is so unfriendly in the office and maintenance does not show up even after having a fire sprinkler pointed out by the fire department to be fixed and as a hazard! It’s been 4 months. The pool was closed half of summer bc the call box was “broken” it took them 3 weeks to fix it and another week to open the pool but by then sun was not out. There is water damage everywhere just take a look at building 500. They won’t tell you that though they will say they are making renovations but it’s actually to hide it with some paint but the mold and bugs are making everyone sick. The don’t spray pesticides, clean the hallways anymore which was a leaf blower but since new management the hallway floors have trash fluids everywhere and it smells. Valet trash by the way that you pay for doesn’t get picked up at normal hours usually it’s a 11pm or before 7pm but you’ll get fined if you put it out before then or after 11pm. Worst manager and staff I have seen in years of living here.
The complex is transitioning to a more secure parking system. When I didn't receive my permit, I called the office. The staff was very friendly and helpful and enabled me to apply for another permit.
I don’t know how they got this star rating but this place is not it. I’ve been putting on maintenance request over months about a water leak and they have done absolutely nothing about it. I literally have a pot catching water in my bathroom. Do not move here. Not worth the price or the headache!!!!
Someone keeps pulling the fire alarm in the 400 building and the complex is not doing anything about it. They pulled it yesterday at 4 am and it was on for an hour and a half. Imagine having to go to work in the morning and awakening out of your sleep at 4 am and not being able to go back to sleep. They just pulled the alarm again tonight and you can tell it is about to become "a thing." Something needs to be done about this right away but it seems like they don't care! Where is our piece of mind that we pay all of this money for? We need it now more than ever.
I love it here! The staff knows me by name and always greets me with a smile when I come into the office. They are quick to help and you can tell they really love what they do. Highly recommend!

They are gated, pet friendly and not outrageous with the pet fee like most other places are, have a nice and clean pool for relaxing after a long week, and the apartment itself is amazing. Lots of space, stainless steel appliances, garden style tub, and amenities on top of amenities. It's also in a great part of town with access to all of the awesome and eclectic restaurants that you usually see otp near buford highway.
GREAT COMMUNITY TO LIVE IN!! CLOSE TO THE CITY AND HIGHWAYS!! I AM A CURRENT RESIDENT WHO JUST RENEWED MY LEASE FOR ANOTHER YEAR!! THE DECIDING FACTOR FOR ME STAYING WAS THE OFFICE STAFF!! CAROLYN, REGGIE, AND SHELLY SPECIFICALLY ARE THE BEST!! I HAVE BEEN A RENETER FOR ABOUT 13 YEARS. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER THOUGHT THAT THE PROPERTY STAFF IS GENIUNELY CONCERNED ABOUT RESIDENTS AND THE PROPERTY!! WE HAVE HAD LOTS OF GOOD CHANGES TO THE PROPERTY SINCE HAWTHORNE HAS COME ON BOARD AND ITS IMPRESSING!! NEW GATES, GYM, AND POOL UPGRADES JUST TO NAME A FEW!! LOTS OF NEIGHBOR MEET AND GREET OPPORTUNITIES. THEY HAVE ALSO HIRED OFF DUTY POLICE TO PATROL THE AREA AT ALL TIMES OF THE DAY AND NIGHT. SAFETY IS BIG FOR ME! THE OFFICE STAFF IS ALWAYS WELCOMING AND PLEASANT. THE GUYS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ALSO GREAT!! ANY WORK ORDERS THAT I HAVE SUBMITTED HAVE BEEN COMPLETED RIGHT AWAY WITH NO TRACE OF MAINTENANCE IN MY APARTMENT!! THEY DO LEAVE WORK ORDERS ON THE BREAKFAST BAR SPECIFING EXACLTY WHAT THEY DID!!! I love Hawthorne at Clairmonts New Staff and Renovations. If you are looking for a great place to stay I highly recommend this place. I've lived here for 6 years and seen this place go through a lot of changes and people, but this new management team is by far the best yet. The manager Carolyn is one of the sweetest persons I've ever met in my life. Since the day we met I instantly liked her and knew that she is really here to make sure the property is ran correctly and the tenants are satisfied. Way to go Hawthorne at Clairmont you picked a great manager. The leasing agents are just as sweet and very efficient as well. Shelly is sweetheart with a great smile and has always been so welcoming. There's not a day that I come into the office that she doesn't take the time out just to simply ask me how I'm doing. I like that because I can tell by the conversation that she's asking because she genuinely cares. That has really made my day a several times and I appreciate her kind heart. Reggie is so sweet and great to look at as well. When I've asked him to put in work orders for me he has always been very efficient in doing so, and in most cases the work order is resolved the very next day. I appreciate him wanting to get my issue resolved right away. Edmond is the new guy but he is very pleasant to talk to and always willing to help. I would give the office Staff an A because since they came along the customer service has been great. My lease was up in October, and before they came I was planning to move, because of them I decided to stay. The grounds keeper is doing a great job maintaining the grounds, and the maintenance is fast and efficient. I've lived in many communities where the staff have not been pleasant and the whole staff had communication issues but this team seems like they care about the people who live here and how the community is kept. I'm confident that this place will only keep getting better. There has been a lot of upgrades done and I'm excited to see how things look after everything is completed.
Reggie has been great so far! My better half and I are to move in this month and I look forward to be a resident at this property! I will write another review once we have been here a couple of months!
I'm from Atlanta but had been gone for about seven years due to work. Trying to find a place when I came back was a bigger challenge than I thought it was going to be. Before I moved I was using apartments.com to check out some places. The newest feature on apartments.com made it pretty easy to find the appropriate part of town to live in given that my job is in Suwanee I forget with the features called but you can put in the amount of miles you're willing to drive to work every day and I didn't want to live in Suwanee I still wanted to be inside the perimeter. The minute I saw five E. I knew it would probably be the place that I'd move to. I've visited about three other apartments that same day and five he's just felt like home after touring and meeting the staff that was working there. The minute I saw five E. I'm sure I drove them crazy with my 100 questions constantly emailing and asking for everything you could imagine. However they were beyond patient happy to answer questions accommodate me moving in a day early changing my paperwork and a host of other things that have probably driven him crazy. And I did it all with a smile. I've been there two months and I'm really happy the neighborhood is quiet my neighbors are noisy it's a lot of young professionals that are actually professionals . The apartment complex recently threw a pool party with food and beverages and it was a blast. I def picked the right place!
