Louisville is the largest city in Kentucky, resting alongside the Ohio River on the Kentucky-Indiana border. The architecture in Louisville is a mix of old and new, with historic neighborhoods comprised of Victorian houses and towering skyscrapers scattered throughout the downtown area, many of which contain upscale apartments and condos available for rent.
The amenities in Louisville are just as diverse as the architecture. Renting in Louisville affords you the opportunity to see the famous Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, learn more about a boxing legend at the Muhammad Ali Center, and meet a range of animals at the Louisville Zoo. The city’s award-winning restaurant scene is an exemplary display of Southern cooking. Just outside the city lies the Louisville Mega Cavern, a vast underground space offering a broad range of adventurous attractions.

Property Ratings at Haven on Tucker
First off the apartment complex outside is very beautiful, the maintenance guys are excellent, but the apartment hallway is gross n spider has taken over it, place it has a nasty smell. When we first moved in no one cleaned or sprayed our unit for insects there was huge dint on our fridge, dishwasher was rusty plus there was cat hair everywhere. And went to complain and there was no manager here. Plus the overcharge for nonsense on your rent i would not recommend this place. Overpriced for no reason, not even playgrounds or activities for residents
I love my apartment, very spacious and its very secured. Love the attached garage that connects direct to my apartment. Management has been great, anytime I have put in for anything to be fixed it was corrected the same day.
A year ago, I accepted an internship in Louisville. I had 2 months to search online for a safe & quiet complex and had never been to KY! After searching & numerous phone calls to apartment staff, I finally decided on Haven. I could not have picked a better place to call home for a year. Although I'm moving back to my home state, Haven has been a great place to live. Everyone is friendly and maintenance was always at my apartment the same day I did an online service request.
Worst property management team I’ve ever encountered
Management team never answers the phone, cant keep a maintenance person on staff they quit, office workers all have different answers when problems occur. They have a centipede and spider infestation. Although the say that were y spray ever two weeks I work from home and when they were suppose to spray they never came. When I called Management they said my apartment was over sprayed. Since I work from home and the big spray company would not show up when scheduled their claims were false and complex would not fix the issue. Apartment had drainage issue where water would accumulate on my patio and the pool of water would get up to my calf and get about a fourth if an inch from coming into apartment. Managent said it wasn't their problem because it was still under builders warranty. They said if it came into apartment to call. They would not even provide sand bags. Apartments look beautiful but if you have any problem don't expect any managment to act accountable or fix the issue. When a tenant across the hall moved out 2 mattresses 2 box springs and 2 bed frames remained in the hall even after calls. They said they would remove them. They were still there in the hall when I moved out. Do not rent at Haven on Tucker for their rental prices are high and their service yo renters is low. Good luck to anyone who chooses to live there. After 1st year rental price went up 330.00 if I were to renew. Needless to say I did not. Over 8 families moved out during the time frame I moved out. Speaks for itself. Never rent there.
You cannot get any assistance with anything. You will walk into the leasing office and not a single person is in there. The phones are silent and they let them ring all day. I have gotten 1-2 answers over the year when i’ve called serveral times with my A/C out and other issues. Even if it’s a small issue: answer the phone?
We only lived here a year so I will start off with the pros: convenient location and easy commute to many areas. Our unit was brand new, spacious, decent amenities and access to nearby walking. When we moved in this place it was under Lincoln Property Management. They were exceptional and very responsive but most importantly friendly and extremely attentive. The staff knew the residents! The public areas, interiors of buildings, and the outdoors were always clean and very well kept. Within a few months of us living here, Lincoln Property Management was no longer the property management, and this is when everything changed.... Now we can get into the cons: We saw 3 different tenants move out of our building within the year and we were the fourth to depart. This should be a sign that something is not right. The public areas were no longer being kept in a courteous manner; the trash compacter was always overloaded with mounds of garbage bags all outside of the compactor days on end. Across from that area was the recycling bin where furniture sat out which just made the area look very trashy. Some pet owners let their fur babies' poop on the grass areas and concrete and did not pick up after them. This was just very nasty. The apartments were supposed to be secured which meant to get inside each building you had to use your key fob. Well good luck with that. Some residents would prop the building door open and let whoever inside, so you never knew who was around. The apartments were categorized as “luxury” for the area, apartment size, amenities, and environment but unfortunately it was far from luxury given the circumstances. We were glad the residents on our floor were nice and friendly but also respectful of others. However, when you walked inside our building you were struck with the strong aroma of marijuana daily. The odor was heavy, and tenants smoked in their apartments which obviously was not supposed to happen – clearly this is what you have a patio for! Some residents allowed their front entry doors to slam whenever they would come and go throughout the day and night, so it was a constant disruption. There were 3 different property managers, and the team was never responsive to emails. It was nice at first (hence why we rated it a 2 rather than 1) but to put up with intolerable dynamics and to know nothing was ever done to fix the problems is unacceptable and very unprofessional. Glad we moved out and moved on.
The old management was fantastic and truly cared about the community. The new management has made this place make a turn for the worse. Packages are never scanned in so you're not notified when they come and don't have access to them. The mailroom is a disaster and everyone in the community has easy access to your packages. The staff is rude and unprofessional. The community is run down and not taken care of as well as it used to be.
Complex has really gone downhill since new management took over.
Haven on Tucker is second to none. The team there at the leasing office led by Val are so helpful and caring. They welcome everyone with open arms and never push you to make any decisions. They are what makes this whole community worth moving into. The amenities are also super nice - from the dogs parks, golf simulator, fire pit. There is a place for everyone in the family. Come check out the BEST apartment community in Louisville.
I have lived at Haven on Tucker since late May 2020. I cannot say enough good things about this place. To begin with the management and staff were attentive every step of the way when showing me the apartments and through the application process. The process only took a few days. They were focused on my needs and wants and assured that I saw all available options. After being here for a while, I have to say the staff continue to go above and beyond. They know each resident by first name and never seem to forget a detail about you. They have met many challenges with the community amenities due to Covid-19, but they managed to keep the gym, activity rooms, business centers, and the pool open through it all. Again, they do what needs to be done to make sure their residents needs and expectations are met. The apartments are beautiful and priced below what is in the area. There is so much value here for the price. There are high end finishes and these are spacious apartments. There isn't a need or a want that isn't met here at Haven on Tucker. From the huge bathrooms, walk-in closets, pantry spaces, storage spaces, garages, and the units even come with a washer and dryer. Every unit has a patio space for you to relax on after a long day. You can venture up to the clubhouse and grill or sit outside and meet other residents. The residents are friendly and always wave and talk if you are walking by. Everyone makes an effort to get know each other here. The location is fantastic. You have everything you need here within a couple of miles. From great restaurants to grocery stores and shops. It's all right here. There is a movie theatre, gas stations, and banks just a hop down the road. You don't have to go far for anything you desire. The interstate is less than 2 miles from your front door. So, you can be anywhere in Louisville quick. I can't finish this review without giving another kudos to the staff here. I recently let them know that I was going to have surgery and that relatives may be in to pick up mail or packages. They responded that they would bring the packages and mail to my door and beyond that, they made sure that i had the proper shower head installed before I got home from the hospital so that I could care for myself after surgery. Haven on Tucker is more than an apartment, it's a happy home, it's a community of people working together for and with each other. I couldn't be happier and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
