Property Ratings at Hawthorne
The property is well managed, it's kept clean and well maintained. The management is quite proactive, they have cameras installed and also very helpful.
Wow it was such a great customer service they offered here. My family doesn't know much english so they asked me to help them with paper work. They were assgined the moving date, but 1 week before moving, nobody contacted them. when I contacted the apartment, they said the apartment is not ready and they forgot to tell us. Fine, they moved our moving date 2 weeks after. Again, no contact, no call, I had to call them again and they said it's not ready. They moved moving dates for another week or 2. All they can explain is they CANNOT forseen it. At the moving, they didn't mention how to get in the door and other service to my family and they know my family did not speak english well. My family have to come back again to ask how to get in the front door. The front desk took his phone to help him to install the app. When my cousin got home, he saw the google website on with 5 star reviews. What a coincidence. Be careful with your cell phone. I wanted to let it go. but agian, my family car got towed. They said my cousin parked the weong way. Wow I have lived at too many apartments before but nobody show you how to park and they never get towed because of that reason. They made my cousin to pay $50 to get the car back. I called to complain and she hung up on me. Great service again. Came to pick up the car. My cousin was told to pay $215. We called the apartment again they said they called the wrong company and nothing they can do for us. Stay away from this place.

It is unfortunate to see that you have made good on the review front. We will choose not to use this platform to defend ourselves. What we will say is we agree that there is a communication issue that is ongoing here and we desperately want to resolve it. Google is used each time for its translation tool. Further, we will remind you that inappropriate language and name-calling are not only not tolerated, but it also gets you nowhere. Once more, we look forward to helping your family in any way we can and would ask that the next interaction we have together be a positive one for all parties involved.
Parking space is a huge problem in this apartment, when you come in anytime after 6pm, you will sure not see anywhere to park, all that this new management cares about is selling parking spaces, not caring if other residents see where to park or not. Even after several complains, this particular issue is still unresolved and they are sure quick in towing vehicles. The management needs to come together and see how to make living comfortable.
This place is worst and worst, management lady is so rude, not professional at all.Doesnt respect the residents. The apartments has roaches and a found rats giant Like a squirrel, discosting. VANDALISM AND MANY MANY WINDOWS BROKE.I make a police report because they broke my window with a rock, the police man tell me they have calls every day .If you love your family don't bring them in a place like this.
This used to be a bit nice apartment before the new management came. It is a night mere to live now..The management is very greedy and be selling all the parking spaces at $40 per space. You can drive round for an hour looking for parking until you are forced to buy parking. If you mistakenly park your car on someone spot for a minute, they will tow it. It is a horrible apartment
I have lived in the Hawthorne Apts for 2 years. The management staff are very nice and caring. They know majority of their residents and children by name. Great after-school program, community activities for the kids, safe awareness prgrams, karate classes and guitar classes. The security guard is awesome. The parking does suck if you come to the residence after 5pm. I thought there was going to be assigned parking but I guess not. Maintenance slacks at times but once I complain is done the same day. Overall can't complain....I like living here....

I am so glad you are happy @ Hawthorne! We Love our Residents.
We have watched this apartment complex go through major and minor growing pains. For just these past 10 years we have watched this complex grow beautifully and here lately more and more has become greatly improved. The office staff is personal and approachable. Thankfully the owners/management has been wise enough to add Quality Security. Even the overall feel of the place has improved to a more secure feeling, even at night. The maintenance staff are kind, concerned, prompt in handling daily tasks and emergencies and are pleasant to work with. We enjoy being residents of the Hawthorne Apts and would encourage others to make this their home as well. Honestly we feel the prices are reasonable. Thank You ??
I have been living here for almost three years and my kids and I love it. This building is the center of everything, walking distance to corner stores, not far from the mall, Walmart, HEB and Fiesta. There are two huge and beautiful pools, a nice playground for the children and management does several nice activities for the families throughout the year. I also love how maintenance handles all issues in a timely manner. You cannot go wrong living here!!
Honestly this was considered a bad neighborhood (break-ins/crime) but ALOT has changed over the years. Currently we have a security guard on grounds til 2am; keeping us safe. The complex is nice, quiet and always kept clean. The staff is friendly and smiles whenever you do go to the office. They've built a new playground and have after school programs (if you have kids) Maintenance people are the nicest; always willing to help out. The apartments are fairly big, recently been remodeled and rent isn't too high (I have a 2bd for less than $800) Everything overall is great. The only bad thing I can really think of is the parking; too many cars, not enough spaces ! If you get home late you might not find a space, real frustrating ugh ! The complex is almost at capacity though so I guess it's understandable. Other than that I'm pretty happy && plan to renew my lease. So if you're looking for a quiet, affordable place then come on down.
This apartment is in a good location closed to grocery store and restaurants and shopping malls. Its not surrounded by a lot of other apartments, the bus stop is right in front of the apartment which is very convent. The size of the apartment are very large for the prices and the maintenance crew is very good, they keep up the property and do a lot of up-grades on the property. it has a great playground and pool area with lounge chairs and tables for the resident and their children, they have 24 hr security for the safety for the resident. Sharon H, Houston Texas
This property is a nice place to live. I have lived in other apartments and this feels much safer than many others. Property is quiet, you don't see people hanging outside drinking and fighting. Is a clean property that cares about families. Has a new playground and also an after school program. Students go there after school and they get help with home work and have lots of activities for them. It feels like a community that cares for one another. Ladies in the office are nice and really care about the property and the residents.
Happy with the staff, very pleasant and helpful. Will renew when the time comes.
All tho the departments maybe quiet and calm the parking lot space is not so conveneatnt and they do have a roch problem.
