We came in to get a tour and were immediately greeted by the wonderful assistant manager, Brynn. Brynn was so warm and inviting and you could tell she loved her job and living there. The property is gorgeous and has very high end finishes. There is a massive dog park and the pool is amazing, as well as the gym and a beautiful clubhouse!!

My family and I recently toured Hawthorne at Blanco Riverwalk and immediately fell in love with everything this community has to offer. Sylvia was great and so was Robert from the maintenance staff. We are currently waiting on our house to sell but we will definitely be back.

The property is very well managed and maintained, the amenities are all very solid, the whole pool/patio area is perfect for spending a day out at the pool and cooking out! We had a couple issues in our unit when we moved in and maintenance addressed them promptly after submitting our request. Overall great staff and nice semi secluded area. No complaints at all!

These apartments are nice and quiet. It is well maintained and if you have an issue, whether with maintenance or otherwise, the staff are on top of it. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. They have community events several times a month, food truck nights, free cookies and coffee in the office. It’s convenient to downtown San Marcos without dealing with the chaos. It’s only 10 min to Kyle, 20 min to Buda. I would say the most important thing is this complex feels very safe. I feel totally safe walking in at night and walking my kid around the complex. My only complaint is the parking, if you’re not in a spot by 6pm you’ll be walking further to your building. Overall, out of all the places I’ve lived this one has got to be the best.

Hard to call it luxury living The pest control I pay for every month never comes. I am always finding bugs and lizards around the house, my kids and I frequently wake up in the morning with bug bites. When we moved in, Ashley told me I could expect some issues with pests since we’re so close to all the nature. I assumed since I had already been dealing with pests sans-pest control in Lampasas, it would never become a major issue. My last straw was at a doctors appointment I had today for what I thought was an ear infection, which turned into removing a spider from my ear. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that they refuse to cut the grass any further than 10 yards from the building. I had asked if they could start cutting the area, at least down to the bottom of the hill next to our building, after a 4 a.m. run in with a pack of wild boars next the the trash. I was told they don’t own that part of the property and can’t touch it, however they could lay sod and install sprinklers there when I first moved in. We pay for package acceptance every month, however after a few months of living here, I received an email stating the office will no longer accept packages- if it doesn’t fit in the package concierge lockers must be left outside of the residents door (like my $700 Dyson vacuum that showed up while I was out of town). All guests for the entire complex must share the handful of spots in front of the office. The units are pretty, but be sure not to get any scuffs on the wall because the cheap paint they used will literally rub off if you try to clean them. Beware of the child proof cabinet latches because the cheap cabinetry they used can’t stand up to the 3M safety first baby latches. The windowsill is separating from the wall, the grout in both bathrooms is separating between the tile and the tub, and if you look underneath any of the cabinets, it’s quite obvious the builders didn’t pay any attention to detail. I purchased a hand woven rug which ended up getting ruined due to the staples the builders forgot to remove from the bottom of the doors. If they damaged any of the materials they were using, they dabbed on some white paint and called it good. The walls and ceilings/floors are so thin, you can hear every time your neighbors pee, sneeze, cough or talk. And they haven’t been by to change the air filter in the apartments even once in the ten months we’ve been here, I have to go to the office, request a new filter and change it myself.

As part of our commitment to offering the finest customer service, we can learn and grow as a community now that this concern has been brought to our attention. This is a first for us hearing about all of your concerns and I want you to know that we will work diligently to address them all. One thing that I do want to address is the land behind the property. According to the city requirements, the land must be 75% vegetated before we can cut it. We are close to reaching this percentage and once approved by the City we will certainly make sure the land is cut and well maintained. We hate to hear that you are dealing with pest related issues but please make sure to report this to our office since pest control is available for our residents each week.
