I truly can't say enough good things about this apartment and the staff, specifically Joseph. I lived in this apartment for the 3 years I attended law school. Joseph went above and beyond before I even signed the lease and continued the entire 3 years I lived there. The maintenance staff resolved every ticket I entered within 48 hours and the only ones that took more than 24 hours was to order a part. The entire property is clean and I felt safe even while living alone with my dog. The entire staff loved my dog and fed him lots of treats. If I was staying in Bham and not moving I would absolutely resign my lease.

Amazing size units for how much you pay. If square footage is a priority, this place is the best. The maintenance crews were always timely and extremely kind. The property however was essentially falling apart. I had maintenance in my apartment at least weekly. My unit specifically was infested with massive roaches, and huge wolf spiders nearly the size of my palm. I expect a certain amount of bugs having grown up in rural wooded area, but even this was too much for me. I was killing up to 5 spiders/roaches every single day throughout the entire apartment, and this was with weekly extermination visits. I felt so uncomfortable and unable to sleep in such an environment I had to break my lease.

Maintenance is quick to respond, the office staff is friendly, they have a dog park for my dog and a dog washing area which makes bathing my very heavy dog a breeze. They keep the place clean and my apartment is very big. I have no complaints.

Leasing company Hawthorne is not a great company. Do not even bother with corporate. Their maintenance crew is awesome and try to help as their hands are usually tied by corporate. Any of the landladies’s name that start with “M” are not helpful or even polite. The place is old and not very well built, after the fire of 2018 it is easy to see. You are paying for location only. FYI: your apartment will not look like the model shown. Good luck if you rent here. All the stars go to the maintenance crew.

This complex is located near the interstate, great shopping, fine dining and most attractions. Joseph makes you feel right at home before you even enter through the property gate. The apartments are very spacious, the complex is quiet, we have community events often and maintenance comes well within 24 hours of issues being reported - I love it here and would highly recommend it to anyone actively looking. I have been a resident for two months shy of 4 years.

My family and I love it here. It's one of the best properties I've rented from. The staff is great, and on the ball with everything. They went above and beyond when my wife and I moved in. The neighborhood is great, with just about everything you could need; and the schools are awesome. The monthly community parties gives us a chance to get to know our neighbors. We love it here, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment.

Nice place been living here for almost three years. The staff are very helpful and kind. The apartments are very big and nice. They are located very close to other things such as Publix, McDonalds, and the i65. Nice place to live!
This community has been nothing but excellent! You will be hard pressed to find a community with more space, a more amazing location, and more importantly, more heart. What makes this place special is the people. Everyone, whether it's the staff or your neighbors, is kind and supportive of one another. Hawthorne at Wisteria is absolutely a community that everyone should consider if you are looking to plant roots for a while. FIVE STARS!!!!
I am only going by my experience. The apartments seem to be nice. The leasing office staff are friendly and have great customer service and are professional. I was very impressed. The apartments are spacious. This complex has a spot where you can washer your car, exercise, and use the computer if need.
My experience started out with reading the awesome reviews about Joseph at Hawthorne at Wisteria. Once I saw a number of good reviews, I thought I better at least check this place out. I was looking for not only a spacious place, but also property managers who actually cared about what was going on..... Well, I was very impressed with how Joseph was attentive and knowledgeable about the apartments and the area, and I did not feel like I was being sold anything. I am excited to be a part of a place that not only has the space that I was looking for, the community type of atmosphere, and managers who actually care about the residents. I am now a new resident, and I look forward to living in a community that I can call home. Thanks so much Joseph....I appreciate you very much.
My wife and I are moving from Louisiana because my wife got a new position and Birmingham. We set up an appointment with 11 different other apartments and got to view them all. Out of all of them this is the one that stood out to both of us and destroyed the competition because the apartments checked off all of our needs. Great natural lighting, storage space, screened-in patio, big kitchen, nice sized apartment, an actual sense of community, great location, and most of all they have an amazing staff. The main staff member we've worked with is Joseph. He has been very patient with us, he answers all of our questions in a very timely manner, he's very polite, and he gets things done. Five out of five across the board.
Visited and toured this property with my daughter Saturday, July 14. Joseph showed us the complex and the apartment that we were interested in. Thank you so much for your time and patience with all of our questions. Thank you for the "no pressure" attitude. We loved your property. I have lived here a year and it is a great! The new company that has taken over has greatly improved so much (painting the buildings, outdoor kitchen, new gym, the grounds are beautiful). I wanted to share a recent experience so you can see how a "problem" was handled so you have get a clear picture of the staff and maintenance. Over the holiday weekend of 4th of July, my air conditioner went out on Sunday night. I called the emergency line and maintenance called me back within 30 mins. I was told that yes, there was a problem and they couldn't repair it that night but would be there in the morning to see what they could do. So the next morning (on a holiday!) maintenance came and did a major repair on my air conditioner until and went above and beyond in taking care of me and my family. That is is one of the many reason why I love living here. It is close to everything, the complex is hidden, the staff is so kind and the monthly resident get togethers has made it possible to meet my neighbors. Add to that the apartments are HUGE! They know us by name and are always kind. I don't know how long I will be in an apartment but I no one else could compare!!
My boyfriend and I have lived here for over a year now and absolutely love this place! Even though we are surrounded by interstate and fast food, it's quiet and secluded thanks to all of the large, old trees on the property. The apartments are older and as such have shifted and settled a bit over the years. This has caused us some issues with window leaks and electrical problems, but the maintenance staff is more than happy to help out. The walls are extremely thick so sound doesn't carry except in the bathrooms. There isn't much to do on property compared to some of the newer complexes but it's safe at night and is within walking distance of parks (both dog and human). The office staff is extremely helpful with any questions or concerns and the manager lives on property. As someone who has spent a lot of time online searching for apartments, let me give you some details that aren't listed on the info pages. -The mailboxes are in the center sections of each building. -Pest control is included in rent (so use it as often as you need it!). -Most (not all) of the balconies/patios are screened in. -The fireplaces are boarded over and painted. -Some apartments have ceiling fans. I hope this helps. :D
Great Bang for the buck. If you need sq footage this is the place to come. Walking distance to restaurants and retail stores. Playground for kids, pool, fitness room and helpful management. Susan H, Hoover, AL
