Property Ratings at Hawthorne Gates
I’ve been here for almost a year and I’m enjoying my apartment. Very quiet and nice community. You would love living here. I Do!!!! Maintenance & staff are very friendly and they get things done
Too expensive for the amenities being offered. Appliances are old, hardly any maintenance around the community. Dog park needs major renovation.
I’ve been here for many years, some years are better than others. But overall I enjoy my stay here. If they could get the noisemakers and lazy people who don’t clean up after their pets out, it would help make this place greater.
It was fine all in all so no reason not to recommend.
The community is quite and the grounds are well maintained. Any maintance issues are promptly taken care of.
I've experienced nothing but the best for the last few years. The entire staff goes above and beyond.
Its a typically nice and quiet apartment community with a perfect location.
I believe service wise this is one of the best apartment community in Sandy springs area !!
Front office staff has been great. Has been a few incidents that have been alarming ( e.g. very loud neighbors, cars with no tags, full blown pool parties) . Hopefully resident applications are searched more thoroughly before moving in.
Beaware of the langauge used in the lease agreement! Water and sewer are not included in the rent. It is a separate charge you see later. There other fees that may appear when it is time to pay rent. For how much I pay I do not see it going to good use. I have yet to see anyone for pest control, maintenance is not very organized. If you do not request for them to enter your home, they will if they need to come in for any repairs. The walls and floors are thin you can hear your neighbor. Yes it is small and quite but security would be a appericated. I wish there were more cameras. The gate does not close after every car, it takes so long about 5 cars can drive in behind me. For how much I pay its not worth it. By the way nobody cleans the pool, I can't even enjoy my amenities that I am paying for!
I can hear when neighbors walk around in their apartments. the floors are really thin here. Maintenance will come into your apt unannounced, when you ask that they only come in when you're home and available they take all day or don't come at all. they don't really fix the problem half the time. water, sewage, valet trash, and pest control are all separate from the rent. If you sign the lease for a certain rent amount, that will most likely not be the amount you're paying. It will be more, but the rental staff will not explain that to you. these other monthly charges will be due when you pay rent also (water, sewage, pest control, valet trash). also factor in your on utilities (internet, electricity, gas). You will be paying for pest control monthly but will not see pest control staff monthly. whether you take advantage of these services or not, you have to pay for them. The pool area, even though it was upgraded, is very lack luster. the cushions and seats look dingy
Apartment is very clean and maintenance is really good. Close to all places and commuting is very close.
I would recommend because it feels more spacious
Older buildings, neighbor sounds can be challenging. Especially walking vibrations, loud thumps, etc.
It's a good community but it was a little rough moving in. If I didn't have a previous residency here then I would have been much more concerned about the lack of info I got and the runaround it was to get all of the keys I was owed.
The price and location are good
I loved how small the community was. Maintenance (Andre) and the front office (Mara) were absolutely wonderful. Only complaint was the insolation in the apartments. The bedrooms were always drafty from the air outside. You could feel the weather when by any of the windows. Winter times were a bit tough on days.
I would recommend based on what I've observed/seen/experienced with management and the property itself. It' the right balance of price, room, and location.
very clean and secure community
I feel safe and comfortable.
YES
So far it’s a decent & quite community, just could use a few upgrades!
This community feels like home to me. I like the environment and the staff was very helpful.
I've only lived here for two months - but I absolutely love it! It feels warm and cozy, just like home should feel!!
They anticipated my move in needs and handle maintenance issues quickly.
Like that it's a small property, like it's location. Would like improvements to the pool area, and newer appliances.
depends on how long would one stay. Short term ur prices are too high for one bed room apartment.
Good location, decently priced. Some water leaks and issues common in ground floor apartments but overall they do a decent job keeping up.
I would recommend the complex based on rental rates, amenities, small community and office staff. I wouldn?t recommend the complex based on highway 400 being close by and city construction taking place while I was there. Small storage closet in my unit.
I have a garage that rented that have been leaking for a year and half when it rains..the garage is a a complete mess! Very dirty..ive opened several tickets which was closed subsequently closed and i eas told the wate leak has been repaired..I am desensitized..not opening any more tickets..

Living here has been great. The staff is friendlt and helpful. I will be staying for another year due to the staff and location
For the area, location, and price, I would recommend the complex to anyone looking in the area.
The property was well kept and the people were very nice and friendly. Little unhappy they don?t supply microwaves or washers and dryers
That the rent is rather high, particularly for just a one bedroom apartment. And I wish the computer room was still open 24/7 like it used to be. But otherwise, it's a great, well-run community!
I love the neighborhood but the apartments are older and a bit over priced.
The units are very well maintained to date..conveniently located near marta. .close to all the big cities. .and overall I feel very safe here. .
