Conroe is located in Montgomery County just north of Houston. Since Interstate 45 travels through Conroe and leads into Houston’s business district, residents prefer living in this suburban neighborhood and commuting to work.
It’s no secret that the cost of living in Conroe is lower than Houston. The city is attractive to many renters because of the reasonable commute times, and it’s only a seven-mile drive to Lake Conroe, a popular outdoor recreational area.
There’s a lot going on in the city – you just have to know where to look. Locals enjoy exploring the Sam Houston National Forest, which covers 163,000 acres of land and is the perfect place for camping or a scenic hike. After a lovely dinner at Red Brick Tavern, locals look forward to a musical at the Crighton Theatre on North Main Street. The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County is a great place to go and learn about the city’s evolution through the decades – and it is right next to Candy Cane Park.

Property Ratings at Hawthorne Ridge
Lived here for a year then had to relocate for work. Everyone was great and work requests were done in a timely fashion. We had a roach problem 1x due to what I think was the neighbors moving out, and roaches moving to us. It was treated same day as I put in the request, problem solved! Only criticism I have is that the propane grills are always out of order/empty and the gym equipment is outdated and some parts are broken. But those are minor!
We were greeted and further helped by Ms.Teresa who was very nice and informative through our process
No parking and if there is it’s an average 2 mile walk to your vehicle. Gates are always broken. Unexplained charges on your bills. Maintenance men will walk in at any time I mean ANY even when you ask them to hold on. Lawn service is absolutely terrible looks like they just run over the grass. Office people won’t really help with your issues. Have changed management 3 times in the 2 years we have been there. The only nice one there is Theresa she will help.
The complex is a disaster . No parking unless you pay for a covered port. If you want to grill by the pool make sure you pack a propane tank and something to clean that grill cause it is falling apart and disgusting. I could go on and on about issues here but honestly go somewhere else
These apartments are not what I expected. The walls are so thin that I can hear everyone talking through the walls. You legit have to whisper in order for your neighbors not to hear you. On top of that someone steals my boyfriends RTIC cooler from behind his truck and they only have cameras in the front gate! Cmon people. But of course they can’t do anything about it. First day we move in people are having a party on the first floor and my kids couldn’t even sleep, you could hear them everywhere and I live on the second floor mind you. Just clearly not worth the money if you ask me.
I think it’s about that time for me to finally do a review on this complex. I moved in the middle of August 2018. I must say before I moved in and when I moved in I felt very welcomed and everyone was EXTRA nice (Paola & Theresa). I love the layout of my one bedroom apartment. The walls are pretty thin because I can hear the lady above me everyday walking or moving chairs. I must say she was nice when I told her about it shes a little better. The office staff is no longer so much of nice, now I feel like when I call them it’s like I’m bothering them or something just a little weird (aggressiveness) but I just have regular questions like anyone else would. Even when I’ve walked to the office because no one answered the phone (they are huddled up not with a customer) they throw off a vibe like why is she coming as if I come and call the office everyday and I don’t. It’s like they don’t want to be bothered. I think it’s pretty crappy! I also think it sucks that we don’t get our first water bill until two months after move in. This is my first time having a washer and dryer so I’m not really sure what to expect on my first bill. Like I’m honestly scared it’s going to be outrageous! Other than that like I said I love my apartment and the layout. The bathtub is pretty big so you can relax with a nice bubble bath. Thanks for reading this review I felt like it was due, I have had my bad experiences with apartment staff before they treat you nice and get you in then it’s a little change in attitudes and the way the treat you as a resident. I feel like you shouldn’t be changing in people if they are paying their rent on time and xyz! Point blank period even if they aren’t paying on time that doesn’t give you a right to not treat them nicely!! Have a blessed day! GOD LOVES YOU!
Located on the edge of the city but within 5 minutes of good restaurants like Show Guns, El Bosque, Chic-Fil-A, Panera Bread, Mc Donald's and 1 minute from grocery stores HEB and Kroger's 5 minutes from Golds Gym. Landscaped very well and pool area is nice. Although an apartment complex, I find it quiet and feels like home. The office staff is young people who care about their tenants and go out of their way to support renters. I find them knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. I gave my 60 days notice to vacate and take a job out of the state. A month later my new job was put on hold. I went to the office to renew my lease and they already had a new tenant signed up. But they were able to find another apartment just coming open and moved the new tenant to it and kept me in my same apartment, so I didn't have to move! Amazing! However, they make me pay $25 a month for valet trash service. Even though I am near the dumpster and take it out myself.... Parking is a pain if you get home after 6 PM. You'll have to park far away from your home. Get home before 6PM!
I am amazed with the way my husband and I were treated here. Waiting for my house to sell so I can call this home! One thing I noticed was that they get very busy and you might have to wait just a bit but it's worth it! They could use an extra person to help them out. Nonetheless the ladies and the gentleman in the office acknowledged everyone with a smile and take care of everyone so professionally!
