Property Ratings at Hayden Place
Their package locker system is constantly down and you are unable to get your packages and they will not walk 2 minutes to open up the locker for you. Experienced it personally multiple times. They treat you respectable until you are a resident. Giving a tour to a potential resident would take longer than retrieving a package for a current one.
I honestly thought this was a great place to live, however the management of the property is horrible, forget about customer service, and it is basically a party palace. Cassidy was so rude and that was supposed to be the leader.... SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOMEWHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY PARK
I wouldn't recommend to live here. I've been a resident for over 2 years. The rent is pretty high, but you don't get what you pay for. I enjoyed the first year, due to the upgraded features of the apartments such as wood floors and nicer fixtures. Then they had a change in staff and there has been a huge decline of service in the property. Now it literally depends on which person you talk to whether your issue will get attention because certain employees just forget to put in work orders (I've had this happen on multiple times.). It gets pretty loud and it is not taken care of because the courtesy officer can't seem to figure out where the noise comes from. Dogs from multiple other apartments cane be heard barking all throughout the night for extremely long periods of time. Parking can get pretty bad, especially if you want to follow the rules and find parking for your visitors (and they do boot cars overnight.). Other residents don't clean up from their pets, so I just avoid walking in the grass at all costs. There's often trash throughout the property as well as trash outside of residents places which attracts pests (ex. mice, roaches). Any issues you report, they don't get individual attention, they just send a mass email to all residents which doesn't solve the problem (because everyone just quickly ignores or deletes the frequent emails.) I found it a bonus that they have monthly events such as taco night or holiday parties for their residents, but these are basically parties for their employees. The gym is not maintained and half the equipment has been broken for years. The pool looks really nice, but is usually too much of a party scene to actually enjoy. There were multiple break ins and car thefts while I lived here, as it not a really gated community, you can literally just walk in (half the time I was here the gate was broken and just left open for anyone to roam.)Wise Properties owns 1/2 of Chattanooga, so they honestly care less about customer service or you as a resident.
I have lived at Hayden Place over 7 years now. I just love it here. I love the location. I have a traffic light to get out on Signal Mountain Blvd when the traffic can be heavy in the mornings. I can take 27 South to go to Hamilton Mall area or I can go over the dam to get there. It's very close to Whole Foods Grocery , Publix Grocery and the Post Office. The staff is absolutely wonderful and will work with you anyway they can. Maintenance is right there when ever I need their help. They even put in security bars in my shower for me that I purchased. I am definitely happy and satisfied living here. I have no desire what so ever to move anywhere else.
Everything that could be bad is horrible here. Office staff are flippant and condescending. The “courtesy officer” is anything but courteous. The grounds and apartments are dirty and unkempt. Walls and floors are paper thin. Parking is a mess and visitor spots are essentially non-existent. Just do yourself a favor and live anywhere else but here.
It was a terrible experience living at Hayden Place. When we first moved in, we were told that our apartment was going to be cleaned and it was absolutely disgusting. We complained multiple times and nothing was ever done about that. We were told we would only get half of our deposit back because they need that to clean the apartment. Our apartment will be cleaner when we move out than when we moved in. Multiple times we contacted management about the dog waste and trash in the breezeways as well as cigarette butts that were thrown on the ground from the residents that lived around us. While they sent out an email, they never followed through. Maintenance responded quite quickly however to any issues within the apartment, which was a plus. The bikes have not been updated or fixed in the gym and I have lived her for a year. When we contacted the courtesy officer about a very loud party happening above us at midnight, the courtesy officer said "well you have to deal with loud people if you people live above you." There was constantly a party at the pool and if you wanted to swim in it there were beer cans or spilled alcohol in the pool. When they scraped the patios and repainted the ceilings, they barely cleaned up the scrapings that fell. They really don't take care of the landscaping around the building and it constantly looks dirty
Hayden place is not an ideal place to rent of you want a quite clean place to live. The two years that we have been here we tolerance the loud noise in the middle of the nights and many endless nights of fire alarm being pulled. We were asked to pay a pet deposit at the initial signing of our lease which is fine. However, they decided to also charge us monthly pet rent every month with out our consent or knowledge when refused to do so at the end of our lease they the liberty to take it out of our deposit. Of course they charged is over $300 for maintenance of the apartment which is so stupid. I do not recommend living in any of the Wise properties because they are out to get you and a decent customer service is unheard of. They have the worst staffing ever!
I have loved living here these past 4 years! If I didn't have to move for my job I would stay here forever!!!
