Property Ratings at Hearthstone
Hearthstone is quiet and feels very safe which are very important to me. My dog loves the small dog runs which are perfect for busy days.
Moved here in July from out of state. It was much easier than I anticipated during a pandemic. Grounds are kept very clean and the rooms here are very large for being an apartment. Thus far I haven’t had any issues with anything I have contacted whether it be for maintenance or from the front office.
I like the apartment. It’s safe and the service is great. Once I moved out I got a bill for 370$ just for basic cleaning which was totally unexpected. Posting the review so that people know what to expect once they move out.
One star because of the location.. Fred Meyer, Costco, Walgreens, Albertsons, MudBay all within 5 minutes driving. The tenants are disgusting, they would leave their garbage piled up on the floor near the compactor. The compactor was ALWAYS out of order. Management would do nothing about it till about a week & a half. By that time, piles would be huge and the smell would be horrible. This happened atleast once every month. Tenants would not pick up after their pets. The complex had cameras around the perimeter but obviously they didn’t work otherwise management would be able to see who wasn’t picking up after their pets AND for the amount your paying to lease these apts, you’d expect ALOT better. To top it off, management will send you to collections for your “unpaid” final move-out bill, which I have statements from my bank showing when the check was cashed by them.
If you care at all about your bank account or any type of decent service, do NOT live here. I have lived in five other apartments in my lifetime and have never had a worse experience. Management is completely and utterly incompetent, deliberately lies to force residents to pay additional fees, and ignores any attempts to resolve these disputes. I was in the process of purchasing a home (that should tell you about the quality of apartment living here), and I went in to talk with the office staff about how to proceed, especially given the fact that closing dates can shift at a moment's notice. I followed the instructions of the assistant office manager completely. A month after moving out, I received an invoice that charged me a full additional month's rate, which was obviously an error because I had given verbal notice and sent an email per the instructions I had received. I called and brought this to the assistant manager's attention, but she said there was nothing they were going to do about it because "no one checks that email." I continued to implore them to re-evaluate this, especially since I had received instructions FROM HER directly on how to proceed with the termination of my lease. I asked to have the office manager call me so I could work with her directly. Several weeks passed and I received no response. I called again last Thursday and asked for an update on this dispute, and the assistant manager again told me they were not going to do anything about THEIR error. I once again asked to speak directly to the manager and was promised a call that afternoon. Here's where things get worse: Instead of ever calling me back, they sent my file to collections on Monday. The collections agency and I discussed this at length, and I chose to pay the additional $1000 that I DO NOT owe to protect my credit. I once again followed up with the Office staff, and finally--at long last--the manager answered. She was extremely rude, completely incompetent, and untrustworthy. Because of additional accounting errors on my invoice, I asked for a copy of the lease, invoices for all repairs on the unit I lived in, and a copy of all rent payments I had made during the course of my time there. I did not receive any of these documents. At this point, I will likely get myself a lawyer and report these infractions to the auditor and/or tenants union. This entire experience was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
Lived here for two years, and loved every minute! The apartments are well cared for, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and it's nice and QUIET! I highly recommend living here!
I have lived in my apartment since May 2014 and I could ask for a better community. It offers a great courtyard with a community BBQ, covered gazebo, comfortable seating around a nice firepit, a little play area for kids. There is a lovely water feature too that makes for a peaceful sound. There is a community gym on site too. Loads of security cameras provide peace of mind. Best of all, it is a pet friendly community. All of this is located close to shopping and parks.
