With its shady, tree-lined streets and attractive homes on manicured lawns, Temple Hills is a cozy suburb situated about 10 miles southeast of Washington, DC and roughly six miles east of Alexandria, Virginia. The property is not maintained. one wall bought out the previous owners and do not keep up the property. I have a broken refrigerator, washer dryer, tubs need relamination, constantly clogged sink, water spots on the ceiling, no noise ordinance, it’s a routine of bull. The maintenance is horrible and has repeatedly closed tickets on these items and have not fixed anything. I am currently using two small refrigerators to keep my items in my home cold. It’s a mess DONT COME HERE

I have been here since July 2022 and I have had nothing but problems since. Maintenance ignores requests for service or just puts in that they fixed a problem they never even looked at. I started seeing debris in the sink at weird times, such as after returning home from work or after a weekend away. If you on the 1st floor you may have plumbing issues due to the above apartments using their sinks or garbage disposal at the same time. I have been dealing with this issue for months, now I'm sopping up water everyday, my apartment smells like a sewer. The leasing office is useless and although it says they are there until 5:30 pm, if you are not there by 4pm don't expect to see them!

This is the worst apartment complex I have ever experienced. Everyone In the office acts as if they were hired 2 hours which may be true but It seems like they are training them to state they’re new. Maintenance takes 2 months to complete any job. If you’re lucky. They make you pay for parking but they don’t have a tow truck they’re just taking your money while everyone else parks as they please Everyone in the leasing office acts if you just walked in off the street randomly into their club house and interrupted their show. No matter how many times and how many people you explain the problem to they will always look at you as if they have never seen or heard of you before! The only way to enjoy the property somewhat is if you never have you deal with the leasing office in any way shape or form. But that is impossible because the buildings are not safe more updated. Everything breaks or falls , as in sides of buildings and roofs just collapsing from water damage. If you have the patience to play bob the builder and get a fixer up apartment in your own dime then yea it’s cool. But if that’s not it, don’t move here

I don't like that residents are charged a percentage of their rent in order to pay their rent online. That is crazy especially when its hard enough to pay their rent in the first place. For some residents its easier to just pay online because everyone's scheduled is different, but to get charged money for paying your rent on or before the due date online is ridiculous!!!

There is no regard, security or surveillance cameras on the property, EXCEPT at/near the rental office. Resident safety is not a priority; receipt of your rent, receipt of parking payment fees, receipt of your garbage removal fees-these are TOP priority. After $4000 worth of damage was done to my new car, I was offered no solutions or help. Just a shrug. Thieves have plagued this complex for years and yet the old or new management hasn't installed cameras, security or any other protections. Except towing; if your temporary parking pass fee isn't paid. The dog waste on sidewalks is sickening!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Before the canned management response to this review, I've been waiting over a week for a response to my email on February 27th and office visit on the 28th.

Things I've had trouble accomplishing in my couple of years at this property... -getting A/C fully operational -getting wet spot on my ceiling (from water damage in above unit) repaired -getting dishwasher operational (it was full of roaches and bugs when I moved in & always leaks when used) -getting light in refrigerator operational (it's not the bulb)

I just recently moved into my new apartment home at Heather Hills and I absolutely love it! The apartment layout is beautiful and the area makes me feel super safe and secure. My leasing agent Kashonna was amazing from start to finish. She was very accommodating and patient with me. I didn't like the location of the original apartment offered to me and when I told Kashonna she literally found me another apartment that same day, which was amazing. I had a few minor maintenance concerns in my apartment home after moving in but Kashonna and Chelsea made sure that the repairs were completed right away. Overall, the promptness and hospitable nature of their office staff, set all of my anxiety about relocating at ease. Moving is already a hassle. However Kashonna, Adrien and their PM Chelsea made my moving experience super easy. This has been my best moving experience thus far. Big shoutout to Heather Hills and the Donaldson Group:)

I’ve been here going on 3 months now & unfortunately I’m not very satisfied. My neighbors upstairs & next door to me are very loud, I’ve been ripped from my sleep a number of times & all the office tells me is they’ll print messages to give to all the residents. NO I want peace & quiet at 12-1 o’clock in the morning!! I’m sure my package was stolen from my door last week as well. No matter how many times pest control comes through or what repellents I use I still see ROACHES! There’s nothing I can do. I’m afraid to even have company. This is embarrassing. I don’t have any personal problems with the staff, I just don’t think they really have much control over how this place is run. When I originally moved in it had to be post-poned a week b/c they hadn’t fully restored the apartment & they have a rule of not letting you see the unit until the day you’re expected to move in. So I had to take the initiative of just showing up & asking to see the unit. The in unit dryer is a steam dryer so it takes 4.5 hours for your clothes to dry. I wasn’t told that so now I have to pay to go downstairs to dry my clothes anyway, on top of that the extra expenses buying roach traps and sprays & the overall emotional distress. On the weekends the teenagers smoke enough weed in the laundry room to walk into a cloud of smoke & they unplug the dryer to charge their phones. If I could I’d leave tomorrow honestly. I’m just very unhappy right now. As I type this my neighbor is blasting music. I hope whoever reads this is willing to reach out & actually assist in resolves my issues.

have been at Heather Hills for a year in June. Love the office staff ,they really work with you on any concerns you have. Its very quiet and CLEAN. All in all very nice and SAFE area. At a affordable price. Rental office staff gives back to the community and keeps the kids busy with activity all year round. I plan to upgrade to the newly remodeled 2bed room apartments with the dual fireplace in the living room as well as the bedroom. hopefully its available in June when we renew our lease. fingers crossed- ALL IN ALL I LOVE THIS PLACE

WE are new tenants here at Heather Hills. The office/maintenance staff have been great. The last 24hrs we have been having a PLUMBING PROBLEM.WHY??? I am praying for relief in the am, this may go on all night. My expectations have been okay until this happened. I hope things change for the better. Besides the plumbing problem, the rooms are spacious. I love the fresh air from the kitchen and dining room. The foyer closet is the best place for storage. The walk in closet in my bedroom is the best. Lets pray for better days to come. I have good faith!!
I have been at Heather Hills for 5years I moved in before they remolded. They have a great office staff and they work with you on any issues you have. Its very quiet and I have my own parking space that I pay for monthly its really reasonable. All in all I like what I get for my money. Other places are just too expensive right now.I also have a dual fireplace in the living room as well as the bedroom. We have a dish washer and the remolded apts have a wssher dryer combo all of this in a one bedroom. Its great!
