As Wisconsin’s capital and second largest city, Madison is situated in the heart if America’s Dairyland. Aside from the city’s farming history, Madison is also known for its lakeside recreation and relaxation on Lake Mendota, Lake Monona, and Lake Waubesa. Interstates 90 and 94 make commuting as easy as possible in the area, even to major metropolises like Milwaukee, located roughly 80 miles east of town on Lake Michigan.
Home to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison draws in many residents for its college sports and top-notch educational opportunities. Between the Badgers basketball and hockey games at the Kohl Center to the Badgers football Games at Camp Randall Coliseum, there’s always a college game to cheer for. The university features all kinds of entertainment options, including the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum, a major natural attraction in the city.

Property Ratings at Heathercrest Apartments
Great location, private neighborhood, well maintained landscaping and sidewalks. There are two bus stops steps away from the property for the #15 city bus that will take you right to UW-Madison/downtown. Hallways and garage are well maintained, and the spacious apartment we have is an excellent value per square foot. Not many on-site amenities, but that probably keeps rent costs down. I have my own gym membership and I don't need a pool, so this is great, no need to pay for extras you won't use. Have been very happy here for two years. Haven't had too many maintenance requests, but they were all handled very quickly. Grounds are maintained well, common areas are repainted and cleaned frequently, our neighbors are quiet. One of the best value apartments I have ever lived in.
I've been living here for nearly 3 years. My apartment is nice and quiet. Occasionally I hear other residents but it's pretty minor. The complex is really well maintained. The common areas are very clean. If anything needs to be fixed management is quick to respond. The location is great... Easy to get most places the area quickly. UW campus is approximately 10 minutes... Central Madison is 10 to 15 minutes (all depending on traffic). Not far from recreational areas. Restaurants within walking distance. I would highly recommend living here to anyone.
The units are well maintained, in a very nice location (right on a bus route), management is very responsive to requests, and heat and internet costs are included in the rent price. The only downside is the air conditioning doesn't always reach every room of the apartment on the hottest days of the summer (it is a single room wall mounted a/c unit). All things considered, it is a great apartment complex though. Lived in my unit for 5 years and only left to buy a house.
