Property Ratings at Heights At Linden Square
Have been there 6 months and the management have defused to fix problems that were present when we moved in . 1. The floor. Half the tiles are loose and slide causing trip hazard and lots if dust constantly. They have said it is because of disability scooter and can't be fixed. A. Was like that when we moved in B. Other tenants say they have same problem 2. Stove. The oven preheat buzzer goes off and is ot at correct temperature. 30 minutes later still not at temperature. Have to put thermometer in oven and keep adjusting temp till it is where we need it 3. Refrigerator leaks inside. We have to put towels in to soak up the water. Dosnt happen all the time but quite often water in the crisper drawers....like an inch of water 4. The toilet shifts under you when you sit. Having a disabled person who is unstable this is unsafe. 5. It is minor but the paint job is horrible few inches of trim color up the wall in several places This is just UNACCEPTABLE in common practice. Let me be clear, blaming a disabled persons mobility equipment for poor workmanship is just so inappropriate it nearly causes rage When we moved in we checked the fire alarms and not only were there no batteries, because they were hard wired, but the wires had been cut We have fixed sevel things, like the TP holders on the bathroom, that wouldn't hold a roll ot TP because they needed new screws. This place is just COMPLETELY unacceptable All we want is a functional safe place.
We have lived here and have had nothing but drama and problems. The management team reminds me of a frat house. You can't recycle anything because there is not enough bins. The trash is always full. They just recently started construction again ripping all the siding off and you can't stop the workers from looking into your apartment because the lease states you can't have anything in your window. I have never been more displeased in my life of renting. Please do yourself and don't live here. They constantly harass and threaten you with text messages and emails and the fire alarm constantly goes off despite there never being any danger. The price is ridiculous and the place itself was constructed poorly.
I would not recommend anyone living here if they have a DOG. Within 6 months of our dog living here he has contracted giardia twice and tapeworm. Former residents have also reported to us that their dog contracted tapeworm after moving into The Heights. After talking to multiple vets, they all stated that the only reason our dog continues to get sick is because of the unsanitary conditions of this apartment’s dog community. One vet described it as “a breeding ground for diseases” when apartment complexes do not keep their dog areas sanitary. We have tried to terminate our lease to keep our dog from continually getting sick and in return have been asked by management to provide vet information and told to pay a large lease termination fee that we cannot afford for something that is not our fault. All we want is to move on from this place for the sake of our dog’s health.
I generally don't leave reviews but my experience has been so mediocre bordering on bad I felt I should. I was quite excited to move in here after reading the reviews but thankfully my lease is almost up. Between loud residents, or guests of residents, in the evenings outside my apartment and the total lack of parking it is over priced. I work nights or go out in the evenings on occasion and it is a real hassle to have to park on the other side of the complex because there are no spots. So I often make other plans that don't involve driving my car if I happen to get a good spot. The lack of parking is either because people park in more than one space or they are visiting and taking up spots for residents. And rarely do I have visitors because there isn't really any place for visitors to park except where residents are supposed to park and I don't want to put anyone out. I chose this place because I have a dog and thought it would be a good place with the dog park. But several residents do not clean up after their large dogs which is not fun to find in the early morning when one steps in it. And despite them doing the doggy DNA thing so the poo can be tested it happens way too often for one to think that the leasing office is doing anything about it. The walls don't seem thick enough to not hear neighbors and you can hear anyone carrying on in the hallway or outside. Which happens on weekends more often than not. Suspect if the weather stripping on the doors was better it might not be that bad. But loud people walking their dogs and carrying on when one is trying to sleep is annoying. Though my heating bill was fairly high because of the door to the balcony/outside would not close properly. Something that still has not been fixed. And the sound proofing in the floors and ceiling is not great. I guess I have elephants in the apartment above me since anytime they move around all I can hear is clomp clomp clomp as they move about. So spend most of my time tip toeing around the house worried about how much noise I am making for the person below me. Suspect that the problems I have had with the downstairs neighbor are because despite trying to not make noise I have not been entirely successful. It is not good value for money you can find a much nicer place for much less. However if you have money to throw away and dont mind loud people, dog poo, and never being able to find a place to park this is probably the place for you.
The staff is awful. They are very cliquey and make you feel extremely uncomfortable, not to mention the fact that they are lazy and they act like immature high schoolers, especially the "manager". Every time I go in the office everyone is on their phone. They also have been charging me $200 extra a month that they "didn't notice" was added. I would give negative stars if I could. About the property, I have had cockroaches in my apartment and almost broke my ankle at their "dog park". Their fix was to add extra mulch. Their landscaping is non-existent. The bushes are never cut and the grass is never watered. For as much as I pay, I would think the little amount of grass that is there would be taken care of. The "wood floors" are warped and uneven. A Save your money and your sanity. For the price, you can find a much better apartment!
Love this place. I have been here for 1.4 years and have enjoyed every moment. Very well maintained, clean, fun, pool is the absolute best ever, workout room well thought out. The Staff is very responsive to my needs and go above and beyond to make residents feel at home and important. The Apartments are quiet and well insulated. Great location.
I've lived here for about a year and a half, it's a nice place to live. Office staff is very nice, noise level in the apartments are very low, however the parking could have been better laid out. If I come home late, I often have to park very far away from where my apartment is and elevator is sometimes out of order but it's fixed quickly. Overall,it's a good place to live, nicely located in the center of Gladstone and they offer discounts with certain employers around KC. I'd rent from them again if I ever needed to.
I really love The Heights it is very nice, friendly, colorful and has the best amenities. It's in a great area and its very quiet. I live in a 2 bedroom crown apartment with my 17 year old daughter. She loves it here also!
I've been here almost 3 weeks and absolutely love the place! Meets all my needs!
The 2-bedroom is spacious but the interior ones have silly "Juliette" balcony so, they're just a door with a railing. Not practical. It's still in the final construction phases, so there's still a lot of noise. The parking is horribly designed, and the pool is extremely small for the amount of units. The public pool is very close, though. The apt isn't as well insulated, from noise, as I would expect for a nicer complex. The staff is friendly and helpful, but too many things have needed fixing over the 2 months of residency.
This apartment is great for a wide variety of people from young professionals to more established renters. The management is very friendly, professional, and organized. The complex itself is loaded with amenities you cannot find at other apartments in the area. The location is also extremely convinient. My favorite thing about this place is how pet friendly it is. I love the dog wash station! I also feel much safer with the controlled access into the building. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my choice to rent here!
I have lived here for five and a half months. During those five and a half months I have experienced a good atmosphere and professional staff. The property is well maintained and I would recommend.
My complex has just recently opened for residents. Even though we're still under construction, and in spite of a few wonky things here and there, this is already a great place to live. My new home is gorgeous and brought and comfortable. I can't hear my neighbors except when they're walking down the halls and talking, we have trash valet so no stinky dumpsters! The pool and clubhouse are absolutely gorgeous and every weekend here feels like a vacation. The staff is friendly, helpful, funny and they do a pretty great job of communicating with us. The parking sucks, but it's not a huge minus when you consider the overall awesomeness of where I live!
The best aspect of the apartment is the location. It's in a very safe area across the street from the police station and city hall, and is also across the street from an amphitheater, community center, and pool. The complex itself is new and nice, with great shared space and nice appliances.
Convenient, FRIENDLY, wonderful staff, great amenities. Recommend this place to all my friends.
Brand new apartment complex, very nice and quiet. Office staff always available to answer calls or answer any questions in person. As busy as maintenance is, they are still pretty quick about fulfilling work orders and making accommodations if the problem can't be fixed right away. Besides the occasional barking dog, there have been no issues with noise in the complex. Overall, a very nice apartment/complex in a good area of town.
My husband and I fell in love with this complex the very first time we toured. The luxurious amenities offered can be found not only in the apartment but also extending to the extravagant clubhouse. The general vibe exuded here is that of a five-star resort. All roads lead to the clubhouse, meaning every unit has a door that leads directly to the clubhouse which comes in handy during inclement weather. There is valet service for your trash so that you never have to haul your trash to an unsightly dumpster. There are no dumpsters on site! I cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband and I frequent one of the many grills offered outside either underneath the pergola where there is an outdoor television and fireplace, or next to the sparkling saltwater pool. They are steps ahead of other communities in that they have incorporated a Nest thermostat in each apartment that allows tenants the ability to control the temperature from their smart devices; also, they provide a full-size washer and dryer in every unit that was designed for effeciency. Living at The Heights at Linden Square makes us feel like we are on vacation year-round.
This is a great new addition to Gladstone, right in the heart of the city. Beautifully landscaped and kept very clean both in the building and outside. Near local restaurants and a short walk to Linden Square which hosts free summer concerts and ice skating in the winter. Very pet friendly also, my pup gets spoiled by the wonderful staff! The clubhouse is a spatious area with plenty of room to gather with a group; indoors or out on the patio! Maintence has always been quick and pleasent when I have had an issue arise. I feel very at home here in this community and I couldn't imagine a better place to be!
I have lived in my apartments for 4 months now. These are brand new apartments with awesome finishes, and great amenities. If you are looking for a new apartment in Gladstone this is the place for you. There are also some excellent activities and resturants within walking distance of the heights. I hope this was helpful.
Moving in with my girlfriend was a very nervous yet exciting time and though some things with the complex didn't go the way we wanted, we were happy to be together. Being a brand new building, quite a few various things were not finished but they were quick to get everything done and to our liking. We are now very happy with our apartment and couldn't ask for more.
I have a studio & its not too small. Safe, key entry building sold me as a single gal. Only frustration is Google Fiber was listed as an amenity & isn't actually available yet. They send text alerts about the complex too which is pretty neat. Linden Square is cool (concerts & movies right across the street). Snow & Co as well. Police station right next door. If you want a new, trendy, beautiful apartment in Gladstone this is THE only choice!
Brand new, unique amenities and an AWESOME clubhouse! I love it here. I have lived here about 5 months now and its been great! Its a nice, quiet location, they're pet friendly and the staff is so nice and helpful. I honestly haven't had an experience this good in an apartment complex before.
