Property Ratings at Heights of Novi Apartments
Worst part of this community is the management and maintenance. They said it’s a non smoking community however management people always smoke. Do not recommend. There is nothing good about this apartment. Overrated
I lived in Heights of Novi for a year and a half and have nothing bad to say about the complex or leasing office. They were always very responsive and polite when dealing with them. I didn't have many things break in my apartment, but anytime I put in a service request it was responded to pretty quickly. The leasing office also has little neighborhood activities every once in a while, like cookies or cupcakes in the office. The apartment itself is very spacious (I lived in a 1 BR). Both the living room and bedroom were pretty big. I loved having a private entrance, assigned spot in the carport, and having laundry right in my unit. The location was also near everything I needed - supermarkets, restaurants, etc. I originally signed a 1 year lease, but extended it 6 months until I was ready to buy a house. If not for purchasing my own home, I would have extended my lease again after the 6 months
This apartment complex is under new management and it is spectacular. The office manager Michelle will go above and beyond to assist you with any issues you have or need. Lauren is very kind and quick to accommodate any issues. The maintenance staff is friendly and repairs happen immediately. I was very happy living here. It is quiet, very nice scenery. While the units are not brand new, they are not old or dated. And as you know, new apartments buildings are small and cramped without storage space. I lived in a 1 bedroom that had 3 storage closets with deep shelves, were tall. The Laundry rooms are incredibly large and make doing laundry a breeze. The ceilings were vaulted in my unit with an arched window and porch at the top. The community is safe and the pool is very nice. I actually have nothing bad to say about the complex except that I wish I could have lived here longer!
My family and I have lived here for a year now, and it has been lovely. Staff and maintenance crew are always responsive and super polite. Great amenities, highly recommended!!!
We are very sad to be leaving our apartment here. We have lived in quite a few and this is our favorite. We have a top floor, two bedroom apartment. The vaulted ceilings are nice and help make it feel like it's not an apartment. Ours also had tan/cream walls which helped with that feeling as well. From the kitchen and dining room into the living room it's fairly open, which I like so I can still be a part of the conversation even if I'm cooking. I absolutely LOVE having the built in shelving in the living room and second bedroom. For someone who has a lot of books and likes to decorate it's perfect! The storage here is great! You have a nice separate room for laundry across the hall from a closet. The second bedroom has tons of space. We had a futon, twin bed, and two small desks in there. The closet is big for a second bedroom closet. The hall bathroom was great because it had a ton of counter space as well as a tall closet in there as well. We've never had that before and it was super convenient to have the extra towels right in there. The master bedroom was our favorite part of the apartment. There was a master bathroom along with a huge walk in closet!! We had a king bed, two dressers, a big cozy chair, bedside tables and still had plenty of room. I don't think we ever heard our neighbors, and whenever we were outside everyone was extremely friendly. It is a great little community and even has a nice dog area along with a volleyball court, some grills, and a nice small lake to look at. We unfortunately only used the pool once, but it was great! Also, everyone who works here is so friendly as. We had a couple times we needed maintenance and they were fast to help get things fixed. The location is perfect as well. It's close to the expressways, the grocery store, the mall, and other shopping areas. I can't say enough about how much we loved it here.
I lived here for over 2 1/2 years. Ran into several problems...some were takin care of...some not. I complained several times that there were animals living in my ceilings and walls. My porch light was busted the whole time I lived here. Also found a squirrel in our laundry room. had construction noise all day everyday for months. Woke up to a jack hammer on the wall my bed is on. Traffic was TERRIBLE! unsupervised children everywhere. management is absolutely horrible! Extremely rude! They told me that I was lying to them about what I was told by their employee when I moved in. They will squeeze you for every dollar you have. They even charged me for a light bulb that I didnt replace. Save yourself time and money and go anywhere else. I hope the new tenants in my old apartment enjoy their unwanted roommates and terrible customer service!
We lived here for a year and loved it. Was hard leaving as the staff was amazing. Property was well taken care of and neighbors were friendly. Michele and Lauren in the office were helpful and caring of our needs. Maintenance Randy and Harold were always friendly and were always prompt. We definately would move back if we came back to Novi
We lived here for two years moved out because the maintenance was horrible. The people who run the place are incompatant and liars the place is getting old. The outside brick fell off the building in big patches I the middle of winter left it all exposed for 3 months then did a poor job fixing it. The staff corporate are all rude and found every excuse to keep the security deposit. Don't move here the place and staff are horrible
I am a fairly new resident of the community (moved in about two and a half months ago) and am highly satisfied with everything I've experienced so far! I was on a tight move in schedule and the ladies in the office were both very helpful and made sure that I was able to move in on time. Once it came down to my move in day, they were diligent about making sure everything was ready (paperwork, keys, etc..). The apartment was exactly what I was looking for and they even left me a move in gift bag. They are always friendly when I visit the office and make sure any issues I have are always dealt with. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone!
I have moved in here month ago and by now I am fed up , seriously fed up. from outside it looked good , model house was also nice. When I moved-in the house literally had so many problems in terms of Cleaning, flooring , Rusted Dishwasher trays? Rusted bathroom sink with holes ?? bathrooms without curtain rod? after the previous tenant moved out they dint even clean the bathrooms properly!! They dint even inspect it once before move-in ,its only during move-in I had to do it.I I had no choice because I was all set to move-in and I did. I mentioned all comments in move-in sheet and even month later they are not fixed. To make it more frustrating they close the request saying its done without doing it without someone verifying it, i had to ask them to reopen it. and that's not like work is not done to satisfactory level , its just not done. ask to replace something and they said done and i see same old stuff there!!! its just has a good tag "Novi".
So far I have been in many apartments in many states. This is the best apartment I have been so far. I would definitely recommend this apartment to new people.
If one were to only judge apartments by the old adage of real estate - "Location, Location, Location", then this apartment is a winner. It is located in a quiet corner of Novi with several shops, restaurants and outdoor parks nearby. Access to the main highways of the area is also very good. Those are the only good aspects of this apartment. The litany of complaints is longer. The carpets and walls are so thin that you can easily listen in on neighbors (and they on you!). All the so called amenities (refrigerators etc) are hopelessly outdated. The property management company that owns this place (York Properties) spends as little as possible on maintenance. As a result, repairs take ages to finish and tend to be inadequate. No efforts are made to repair porches or salt walkways. For a complex as large as this one, they only employ 2 guys who are clearly over-worked. On top of it all, the place is quite expensive. In summary, I would conclude that York Properties has spoiled what could otherwise have been a good apartment complex. This place is clearly not worth the money.
awesome staff and maintence department. Problems solved quickly and customer service is superb.
We stayed here for a long but very bad maintenance. They dont treat customers good. I dont recommend this apartments. Though you keep a work order, they never take it seriously and the management doesnt treat tenants properly.
I had a bad experience when i moved in, my apartment was filthy, and had many issues including cracked floor ( i ended up spending the first week in a hotel, and stayed through their maintenance process for the first 2 months ) while they fixing it. The leasing lady at the time was really nice, and i felt sad when she left. The apartment require more maintenance due to the way they are "fixing it" with temporary solutions. My last few maintenance request were never processed, I had issue with my neighbor who smokes ( i am allergic to smoke, i asked for a solution, and they told me too bad for you, we can't help you ). They didn't bother install an isolation material. My existing neighbors don't respect other people space, and no action is taking by management when such an action is reported.
After extensive research to find the best apartment for my budget I chose The Height's of Novi and now I'm 100% sure I made the right choice. The complex is set back, quiet, serene, and beautiful. The office and the grounds staff have been both helpful and accomdating. Im close to shopping, expressways, and every kind of restaurant imaginable. My apartment is so nice and many of my guests have complimented me on how nicely it looks with my personal touches.
Just want say my stay was great the staff very respectfully and the new ground keeper and repair men does a very good job thanks for every thing
