As its name implies, Medical Center South is located directly south of the Texas Medical Center, which is home to Houston’s major healthcare facilities and medical schools. The neighborhood is also locally known as the Astrodome since the Houston Astrodome dominated the neighborhood. NRG Arena, NRG Stadium, and NRG Center are also located in the neighborhood so living here will give you easy access to rodeos, football games, concerts, and more. Although the area was initially created for the Astrodome, it has since changed drastically. Along with medical facilities, Medical Center South is laden with restaurants, stores, and an abundance of housing options. Rental options include large single-family houses, luxury condos, and modern apartments and townhomes. Attracting even more renters, Medical Center South is also convenient to Downtown Houston, Midtown, and Hermann Park.

We are so pleased to learn about your positive experience and are grateful for your kind words! It is delightful to hear that you are enjoying your home and the breathtaking views. We appreciate your feedback and are so happy to have you at Helix!
If you have an option and care for your safety, I am humbly requesting you to avoid staying at this place. I have been a part of this community since it was Lincoln, but one it became Helix, things have only went downwards. I totally agree to the fact that they required some time for the transition to happen, but as of now, the state is still the same and sinking downwards. Lot of burglaries in the community recently as well.

We would love the opportunity to speak with you about this. Please contact us directly at your earliest convenience so that we can find a solution.
See all the other one star reviews. Ever since management changed and they went from Lincoln to Helix at Med Center office staff and maintenance have been terrible. No one answers the phone only the answering service and I've had issues with maintenance requests either taking days or longer before being addressed, improperly repaired, and emergency requests being ignored. Used to love it here but now I don't recommend anyone move into this community.

I lived here for several years but in recent months, I have noticed a steep decline in the overall quality of the environment here. It does not feel very safe anymore. Most amenities are not accessible/usable anymore. Trash is not being picked up regularly. The front desk staff is also not very professional. They made a mistake in the renewal contract and instead of apologizing I was being bugged constantly. I would have not renewed the contract if I had enough time to look for a new place earlier. No way I'm going to renew the lease contract next time.

Good starter apartment, pricey for what amenities are available though. Gym area is effectively non-existent. Security issues remain the biggest problem in my opinion. Just install cameras for the parking areas or at least fake ones. There were more than enough problems over my time there to warrant it, but property owners never thought it was cost-effective.
After recently having a horrible experience at a different apartment complex, I decided to go with the Lincoln. I called and the were friendly from the beginning. They have been so helpful and answered any and all questions with no hesitation.
So far our bikes have been stolen and the refrigerator had a plastic seal on it that we had to take off, and they scratched our floors moving it in/moving the old one out. The front office staff are nice, but it's not the most perfect place to live.
The community seems very safe and everyone I encountered in the front office, workers and residents alike, were all very friendly and welcoming.
Yes I would recommend this apartment to friends and family
Great location, great neighborhood and above all quick action for any maintenance request.
Recommended the apartment complex to a friend, they moved in and it’s their second month living there.
Now that we'??ve moved further out, the rent is extremely high for the amenities provided. We'??re getting more for our money with being just 15 minutes away. The property is also nicer and we'??re surrounded by everything that we need. Good place for students but wouldn'??t raise a family in this location.
Good for those working in medical center. Love that there is a shuttle bus.
I have recommended LMC to acquaintances but they were unfortunately turned off by smelly trash they saw left out during the day for the Valet service to pick up later in the evening and the blight from leaky trash bags. Also had to hear from another friend not so happy after she stepped in dog do. Must be really frustrating for the LMC management after all their relentless efforts to educate residents on these issues.
would recommend because of its proximity to most places of importance, safety, and cleanliness. plus its a lovely community
Management is great, valet trash is amazing, place is beautiful, everything works, no bugs, no issues with parking, safe
The community seems great. The agent was professional and friendly. The units are spacious and beautiful.
Constant work being done whether it’s plumbing or powere outages, for the price we pay it’s not worth it
The experience I had with the leasing professionals made all the difference for me. The community is beautiful and seems safe, but the staff were the deciding factor without a doubt.
The leasing officer was very hospitable and accommodating and the place is really cozy.
Great value. Quiet. Excellent support staff. What's not to like?
I wouldn't recommend because when I move out of the complex they charge me $523 to change the carpet saying that they were something in it that they couldn't remove it. I make sure that everything was clean before I leave the apartment but they make sure to find something. I have living there for 5 years. I just feel that they just need it to change the carpet for new resident.
I would recommend based on location and great condition of the apt buildings.
I would recommend it because the complex is conveniently located within Houston?s inner loop with access to main venues and highways to go everywhere easily. Also, the quality of the apartment condition and professional service from the leasing office makes it an ideal place to live. I am positively impressed.
It feels like a warm complex and apartment; the complex ammenities, apartment features and general environment feels welcoming. I like it.
the office personnel has great attention and is very supportive and helpful, they have great customer service
yes
Overall good experience. Towards the end had issues with ac. Water was also regularly shut off for pipe repairs. Staff was also not clear about settling the end my lease.
I would not recommend living here to someone who is mainly choosing it because it is located near the medical center and they plan on taking the shuttle service to work every day. The point of living near the medical center is having a quick commute to work. But with Maroneal on our shuttle stop the commute is twice as long and undermines the location.
as long as the roaches and spider issues are resolved, this would be a place we would highly recommend
Responded promptly fix AC. When another problem with AC popped up days later, it was again fixed promptly and now works great.
I'm a student on a stipend, so although the rent price matches the service and value of the apartment, I would recommend to students if I know they can afford it. But I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
The office staff and maintenance are so friendly and accommodating. The property is generally well maintained. There is always ample parking and I, personally, have never dealt with any safety concerns.
Nice gated area close to the medical center. Great & friendly neighbors wth friendly pets too!! Lots of cool amenities; we love it!
I would recommend these apartments to people looking to live near the medical center who also want a nice space to live for a decent price.
Lately there has been an influx of residents, whom in my opinion, are not sanitary, are loud, and just plain rude. I know when you?re in an apartment community, you can?t pick who lives next to you, but this is a recent change in the caliber of residents residing here.
One of the perpetual issues I've dealt with is the constant breaking of treadmills in the apartment gym. There are only three so when one or more is down it can be difficult to grab a free machine. After being fixed, one of them broke down again recently. This is a minor annoyance to living in the apartment community but is an important issue for those focused on their fitness.
The community is quiet, kept clean, staff is curtious and friendly. Issues are resolved in a timely manner. You are not disturbed and are left in peace.
I have recommended this apartment complex to other pharmacy residents at my hospital and the biggest reason is that maintenance is responsive and always takes care of us. It is close to the medical center and is a fairly quiet community. I really enjoyed my 2 years living here.
Its is a great place to live, that's why we are still here. The entire staff makes sure that all the tenants needs are met. We are one big happy family here. The name has changed from Versailles Park to Lincoln Medical but the services has remains a (5) Star community.
Best maintenance team and friendly office people.
It feels safer and cleaner than the avaerage apartments in the area. Those are very important factors to me, so I would recommend.
I never have to worry about any apartment issues because the maintenance crew is superior and address issues in a very timely manner. The community itself is beautiful and always clean and feels very safe. I love how helpful the front desk is. They've helped me find packages or have had shuttle passes delivered to my apartment if I can't get there during office hours. They also were of great assistance when I had an upstairs neighbor who would frequently blast music and have loud parties at 3 am.
I've felt very safe living here for the past few years. I also feel the property is well maintained and maintenance at the apartment is timely/prompt. The office staff are so friendly and pleasant to interact with.
I would recommend LMC to anyone who wants to be treated fairly and live in a good community. While the property is on the older side, I feel the well maintained facilities and staff make it worth checking out.
Any interaction I have had with management has been pleasant, and my concerns have always been addressed quickly and effectively.
Hernando is best maintenance guy ever
The staff make this property astonishing.
I love this community! I've been here for 2 years and just renewed another 12 month lease. Plus I wouldn't mind getting the credit for a referral.
The property is very nice and well kept; as are the staff members of the leasing office. Upon my arrival, there was an issue with my first unit and Amy, the property manager, rectified the situation while exhibiting the upmost professionalism. I've only been here for a few days, but so far my experience has been nothing but positive. I'm a student at Baylor and would highly recommend this location.
