Property Ratings at Henderson Oaks
I moved into Henderson Oaks apartments in March 2021. The apartment wasn't fully ready. There were some bugs on the floor and the blinds weren't put up yet. I wasn't worried about it bc I planned on fully cleaning the apartment when I moved in. I kept up payments during my stay there and never had many problems other than the landlord rarely being in her office during office hours. In January of 2022 I informed the landlord that I would be moving out in March. She never mentioned a written notice. When March came around I called to ask about the paperwork to move out. She claimed I never gave a written notice. I brushed it off and changed my plans and stayed in the apartment despite being absolutely furious about it. At the beginning of May I completely cleaned the apartment and turned in my keys. She took the entire 30 days to send me my deposit back and it was $145 less than what I paid originally. I knew that the blinds in the apartment were messed up so I expected around $30 to be taken out of my deposit (bc the blinds that I had were cheap ones that broke easily). I called her and she claimed that she took the money out for the blinds (supposedly $38 each) and a $75 clean fee bc "the window sills, oven, and bathroom were a little dirty." If you move into these apartments read your lease COMPLETELY, and expect ridiculous fees during your move out.
