If you're looking for that cozy, small-town feel interspersed with the excitement of a big city, then Wilmington is the place for you. Located in the northern-most portion of Delaware near the Pennsylvania border and close to the city of Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington has plenty to offer no matter what your age or interests. The specific neighborhood of the city that's best for you can vary based on your budget, but some of the more popular neighborhoods include Trolley Square (which is known for its beautiful architecture) and Bradywine Park (which is dotted with lovely parks and nature trails).
If you're the artsy type, you'll love visiting the Delaware Art Museum, located on Kentemere Parkway. Here, you can enjoy viewing work from local and globally known artists ranging anywhere from the mid 1800s to present day. Be sure to visit plenty throughout the year, though, as they're always featuring new exhibits and galleries.

Property Ratings at Heritage Court
This was my first apartment and it was a really good starter apartment. The apartment size is great for a one-bd. Maintenance responds really quickly, but I didn’t have very many issues. My only complaint is that the walls are thin, but the neighborhood is pretty quiet.
My family and I moved to Delaware during the pandemic from NY in Dec 21. Marvella is a fantastic property manager and her maintanence staff is responsive and courteous and the apartment was renovated and clean. I just dropped off my keys now that we have moved into our new home.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a place to live. Maintenance workers are the best part of this community. Property management is nice when you first move in, but if you have any issues outside of maintenance or pest control to address, they will not get fixed. Buildings are old, walls and floors are thin. In the winter time you will have to seal your windows, and in the spring/summer call pest control because of bugs. If you have noisy neighbors, the office here does nothing - they will gaslight or invalidate your experience, until you feel insecure about ever complaining again. Parking is terrible, and cars constantly speed around the property, since it's one way in and one way out. Just keep looking.
I lived here for 2 years, Great location. It was comfortable, neighbors were friendly. Maintenance were professional and efficient. Property manager Marvella was very nice, I moved out bc my family outgrow the apartment. The only thing that turned me off about these apartments was not having a Washer and dryer in the unit.
My husband and I moved here in 2017 and stephanie was very quick to answer any questions we had and made the whole process easy. Still to this day if I have any questions she goes above and beyond to help. The matinence men are very nice and efficent and the development is always clean and maintained. Very professional staff and pleasant place to live. We love living here and would recommend it to anyone
I just recently relocated from Atlanta to Delaware, big difference. I shopped around for about a month looking for an apartment that would be suitable but also safe for me to live at with my three old son. After visiting Heritage Court on three different occasions I went with my gut and applied. The manager, Stefanie was very friendly and helpful during my transition. She even took the time to look up child care facilities in the area for my son. Since I moved in I only had one small problem and Dave head of maintenance came out same day and resolved it. I would recommend Heritage Court to anyone that is looking for an apartment. They keep the grounds clean and they even throw parties for all the residents.
I was apartment shopping for 6 months before I met Stephanie the property manager at Heritage Court. Her professionalism and knowledge sold me on this place. Looking forward to a nice stay here. Thanks Stephanie for all of your help!
I moved into Heritage Court the summer of 2015. I am originally from Florida and was transferred by my job to Delaware and had to find an apartment fast. As soon as I walked in the rental office the manager and leasing consultant both greeted me. They were very friendly and helpful. When the manager showed me the one bedroom I fell in love with the huge walk in closet. She made me feel very comfortable with making my decision to move here. I have had no major problems just little minor ones which maintenance handled same day. This past summer the manager had a pool party for all the residents which was really nice and I won a $150 off rent coupon. My apartment is very nice and my neighbors are cool too, no problems. I would definitely recommend Heritage Court to my friends and family.
Don't move here! Overpriced for little apartments, washer and dryers always breaking and on site maintenance won't touch them since it's outsourced and I'M responsible for calling the company to get them to come out. Also, up until the August 7th(or so) the POOL WAS CLOSED ALL SUMMER! Now, its closed on Mondays and once a week seems to close for "maintenance. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! DRUGS AND DEALERS ALL OVER!
Property Manager at Heritage Court, Responded To This Review
I'm very sorry that you are unhappy with Heritage Court Apartments. Because I feel your comments are not completely accurate and you sound as if you are disgruntled, I would like to respond. You are correct in the fact that all the washers and dryers in the laundry rooms are handled by Caleco but the office contacts them directly when a complaint is made about a broken machine and normally they are out by the next day to service. As far as you calling, we always give out the number to the resident as well in order for them to obtain reimbursement for any money that was lost. The pool was closed because of an unexpected pipe break underground from the winter but as soon as all the repairs were complete it was opened and stayed open a couple additional weeks past the normal closing of labor day weekend. Also, because of the huge inconvenience, residents were advised that they could use our sister property's pool which is less than 1 mile up the road. Heritage Court reviews current criminal reports for all applicants and we are not familiar with any "drugs and dealers all over" and have a great rapport with NCC. If you have any concerns please bring them to the rental office so that we may look into them.
