Finding an apartment for rent in Hilliard, Ohio is one of those things you can look forward to. A quaint town, with just over 30,000 people calling it home, it is the ideal place to raise a family, go to school, or just spend time relaxing. It is the largest suburb of Columbus, Ohio, the state's capital city. And, with that proximity (and ease of drive into the heart of Columbus) Hilliard is one of the best places to call home. Finding an apartment here is rather easy to do, and you'll have your pick of a variety of styles, ages, and communities. Yet, Hilliard has much more to offer than just a residential area. It's popular with just about all age groups and is rather affordable compared to living in the heart of Columbus.
What's interesting about this city is its passion for sports. You can look to Columbus, Cincinnati, or even Cleveland to the north for the professional football, baseball, and basketball teams, though. Here, in Hilliard, it is all about the local sports teams.

Property Ratings at Heritage Preserve Apartments
The elevator is consistently broken, the power flickers and goes out occasionally thus causing the elevator not to work until someone comes to reset it. The bulk internet is slow and constantly lagging. The leasing company will nickel and dime you for everything. The parking, there isn't enough for the building and they claim that even though you may have to walk across a courtyard, that it is still considered available parking. Not convenient when it is cold and raining or you have groceries to carry in. The oldest buildings have been there long enough that things in the apartments need replaced yet they space out repairs / replacements beyond what they should be.
I've lived here without any issues for 6 years and couldn't be happier with my experience. I absolutely love it here. The apartments are very nice, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Very happy with the return of PM Brandi Walters. She does a fantastic job.

Pros: -The apartments have nice appliances. -The walking path and nature area is the top selling feature of these apartments. Cons: -The staff in the front office is very unprofessional. Be aware that if you have any issues with the Property Managers you are out of luck. Corporate will not speak with you so the Property Managers can treat you however they want. I have reached out to the BBB and still Corporate is not willing to resolve the problem professionally. The way this place is run is appalling. -Cheaply made for Luxury Apartments. -Smoking is allowed. It will bleed through your walls. My bedroom smells like smoke because my neighbors are allowed to smoke in their apartments. I should have checked that before I moved in, but assumed that new luxury apartments wouldn't allow smoking inside the premises. Overall I would not choose to live here again. The walking path around the apartment is beautiful, but it doesn't make up for the other issues.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you feel that we are unprofessional however we do have the duty to uphold the lease and when payments are made late they do accrue a late fee. We are sorry you have not enjoyed your experience.
If you are looking for a new place, you have got to check these out. I absolutely love my Brand New apartment. The location is great. It's super close to everything but it's actually on a nature preserve so it's so peaceful. I have a dog, so we love to go on the trails and to the dog park. The staff here is super, so friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend!
I’ve lived here for about seven months now and I’ve had a pretty good experience so far. The staff in the office and the maintenance man is really nice. Living on a preserve is beautiful, I love pulling onto the property, the beauty is an instant stress relief. My only complaint about the property is that the little roads around the apartments tend to flood and you can’t get around it. I actually destroyed my car when I tried to leave the property at night and accidentally drove into a deep area of water on the road. Note I couldn’t see the water due to them not having street lights which is also a negative.
I never write reviews, but I feel the need to share my experience at Heritage Preserve. This has to be the best apartment community in Columbus! First off, the location is great. I can get anywhere in Columbus in no time. The apartments themselves are quiet, well appointed, with big windows a balcony and an elevator, its a far leap above anything else in area. I enjoy the gym and when its warm (please come back summer) the big pool. Being in the Heritage Preserve community gives a feeling of exclusivity that none of the other communities I looked at had. Also, the staff is great, very courteous and helpful. I recommend this place to anyone!
This is a completely new construction, so if you move here you will either be the first or one of the few people to live in the unit you get. Everything is brand new and nice. I didn't have any maintenance issues. The walls aren't very sound proof at all and a lot of noise comes in from the hallway. I heard a lot of arguing from my neighbors sometimes and kids screaming. This apartment complex attracts a lot of dog owners, and there were a lot of dogs that barked a lot. I was lucky and didn't live next to a dog, but I imagine it would be very loud living next to one. I hope they put more sound proofing in the newer buildings they haven't finished yet. The elevator beeps a lot and the stairwell doors are loud. If I arrived home late at night, parking would be full and I would have to walk all the way from the leasing office. Sometimes, living here felt more like a hotel and it never really felt like a home. Moving in and out is difficult, because they made the exterior doors unusually narrow. I didn't appreciate some of the mass notices I got on my door from the leasing office. A lot of it was just written in all caps, as if they were yelling. There was one telling residents to get electric bark collars for dogs that barked too much. "Bark collars anyone?" Those collars are incredibly inhumane and don't even work.. and just cause more behavior problems. If you live here, you are forced into buying ATT-U Verse which is another $100 per month on top of the rent. So you can't just pay for a cheaper internet service and not have cable. All in all, I didn't really love living here, but it was okay for a little while.
