Property Ratings at Heritage Square Apartments
New neighbors moved in on top of me. The woman consistently stomps and runs in the apartment. How do I know that this is done on purpose because she don't do this all of the time. She is up banging, running dragging things across the floor and stomping all hours of the night. This complex has done NOTHING to stop this. I am moving and will never rent from Kay Management ever again. These walls and floors are super thin. With the noise and ruckus she made this morning I definitely will be getting a lawyer and suing her and Kay Management. I can not recommend this complex to anyone. I have had friends over who were considering moving here and once they heard the craziness they were like oh hell no. Keep looking because this ain't it!

Our apologies. We regret to hear that you had this experience with us. We take resident feedback very seriously and will use it to make improvements. Thank you.
I lived at Heritage Square Apartments from 11/02 thru 11/03. The first apartment I moved into wasn't properly cleaned. There holes in the wall that look as if someone smacked plaster at the holes without smoothing it down. As I unpacked my belongings in the kitchen, I almost passed out. There was old dust that was thick with scattered roach bodies and motels and old cabinets that were old and thick with paint. So thick it was gummy. I lived next door to a drug dealer and the apartment reminded me the apartment in good times. I requested to move that day. The other apartment experienced a fire and a flood. They didn't offer to move me or resolve the issue as it was heavy with mold.

If you are currently looking for a new home, we invite you to visit our apartment community now, as we have made vast improvements in the last 17 years. Thank you again for your feedback.
I've been here for 6 days and the staff is already giving me problems about an obvious electrical issue within the apartment. Aside from this, what you don't find out until after you sign the lease is that there is no guest parking after 11pm, the reason the water bill is not included in the rent with the other utilities is because you split the water bill with the entire building, and some of the staff seem incompetent. With that said, I will also state that the area is close to major roadways, the neighbors are nice (or at least seem that way so far), and the rent is lower than other complexes nearby offering less space, etc., etc. Pretty much it's not a bad place to be overall; however, if you have maintenance issues, good luck getting that checked out by professionals who actually care.
do you want see customer service at its worse, come to this apartment. Constantly have to deal with disrespectful staff. So sad to see my next door neighbor leave because of it. Other things are not bad.
I've lived at Heritage Square apartment for one year , and I just moved to other apartment last week , because the Heritage Square apartment stuffs are not good , and they put more money on your monthly payment , that's why I do not like this apartment, and also when you compare with other apartment their price is too expensive , their rooms are very small , so I really not recommend this place !!
I've lived at Heritage Square since 2010. My husband and I decided to downsize and live in a more convenient neighborhood. We were pleasantly pleased to find a community which is family-oriented, safe, beautifully landscaped and manicured. It is a veritable melting pot of every nationality and we all have one thing in common, Quality of Life. The complex is perfectly appointed. When you first enter the complex there is an enclosed basketball court that is definitely utilized, giving our youth and teens a place to go and burn off steam. A large and a scaled down playground with plenty of field for soccer, football or just playing ball. Adjoining that is a wooded park and grilling area which is separated from the living spaces, giving you a quiet, undisturbed environment. The apartments are very spacious. I was able to move a 4 bedroom house worth of furniture inside, complete with my assorted trees. The rooms are very spacious and the balconies are large as well. There is a pool on-site and there is plenty of privacy for swimming laps or just wading. The convenience of shopping is all around you and there is public transportation at the entrances of the complex. This complex is also serviced by Metro Access and New Carrollton's Call-A-Bus for elderly or disabled. I saved the best for last. The staff is very accommodating, they take the time to listen to your concerns and try to make you feel as if this is indeed your home. I have met most of the staff and they all take pride in the services they provide. There is also security provided by New Carrollton Police, as well as the complex's security staff. The fire department is right down the street so insurance rates are low too. I can honestly say, you definitely get more bang for your buck at Heritage Square.
All staff not good and they not provide good customer service never let any friends go there to live there
Heritage Square is a very decent apartment complex to live in. The buildings are very old but are very spacious. Maintenance is very prompt about resolving issues in the complex, However, some things cannot be fixed. The paint on the the wall "splits", some of the doors in your home (closet, bedroom, bathroom) wont close all the way. I can see that in my apartment, they painted over dust, rather than cleaning and then repainting. There also is no handbook for residency "rules" . The bust stop is right outside of the complex (awesome), and its less than a five minute ride to the metro. Shoppers is across the street (literally) along with a car repair shop, telephone carriers, international market, and useful shops. The New Carrollton Police Station is across the street from the complex. Theres a small pool within the complex, a basketball court, and day care center. Parking is not bad, but there are very few "visitor spots" and this complex does tow. Neighborhood is rather quiet at night. and during the day (even on weekends). Mostly families live in this complex. Office staff is really friendly and understanding. Overall, i've had an average to good experience since i've moved here.
