Property Ratings at Hermitage Square
Muy buen servicio. Estoy encantadisima! Muy lindo apartamento con vista a la piscina. Las muchachas de la oficina estuvieron muy atentas.
This is the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. Great neighbors no noise,no drugs,if anything goes wrong they fix it almost immediately!! Friendly staff leasing office is the absolute best. Nice pool great location from shopping groceries and more. I highly recommend.
Great complex, great people, very nice community. I’ve lived here for years.
I seriously don’t understand the negative reviews on here. Its been less of a month for me living here and everything has been beyond great. Brenda helped me find a happy home and she is super patient and reliable with whatever questions you have for her. Maintenance is also super quick and reliable. No issues in my building, everything is fine and neighbors are great! If you’re looking for a clean, affordable and happy home this is it. Its best to call for availability because there is so much that happens quickly that I cant expect Brenda to do everything on her own. Some occupants are just too demanding and rude and don’t recognize her work load and how to be patient. That being said, I am a happy occupant along with my other roommates. They offer nice renovated units too! Get yourself a unit before its gone!
The trash containers next to the pool, old buildings, verifications of your file take a week to give you an answer, the website is not updated the day it’s available now but when you call lol they say “what ???! No it’s not true, we don’t have any units available now, maybe in 2 or 3 months, so you don’t trust the websites, the building stinks, they , they clean the hall and the stairs every day but still small bad .
This is a good place to live! Maintenance is quick, responsive, and communicative. Hollie at the leasing office is also AWESOME. The rent is very reasonable and the apartments are very spacious with good natural light/windows. The pantry in the kitchen, breakfast bar, and the space in the kitchen is something I will truly miss. The only negative is something that you have to put up with anytime you live in an apartment and that is noisy neighbors! the walls are okay but you can hear EVERYTHING from the door that goes on in the hallway. Kids throwing tantrums was common almost every night at 10pm or later. You can't hear this as much in the bedroom though because that's the farthest room from the front door. My only advice is to report this so there is a paper trail.
My roommates and I have been living at Hermitage Square for over 2 years and we are very happy here. The maintenance and management staff are very responsive to any issues that arise and take care of things in a timely manner. It is also a convenient location (2 miles from Glenmont metro, bus stops close by, multiple shopping centers and grocery stores within a few miles) and is a short walk to the Mathew Henson Trail for those who enjoy walking/running/biking.
The staff is amazing, moved in a year ago and couldn’t be happier. From day one our experience has always been amazing , we look forward to the years to come, would definitely recommend.
I have lived at hermitage square close to 3 years now. The leasing office staff are extremely friendly and helpful regardless of the request. This apartment complex is great for both families and single individuals seeking a comfortable community. The location is close to major intersections, restaurants, and several leisurely activities. My neighbors are fairly friendly and I've never experienced any issues. The only challenge that I've experienced has been parking but there are reserved parking spots available. Overall, I enjoy living at hermitage square and will continue doing so.
I have been living here for about a year and a half now and am a very happy tenant. The management is nice (they actually know your name), I’ve never had issues with mold or pests, the rent isn’t too pricey, and my neighbors are kind. The apartment also has a spacious floor plan with high quality carpet. I plan on staying here for at least another two years. I definitely recommend it.
I’ve lived in the apartments with my husband for about 2 1/2 years, and we have enjoyed every minute of it. It’s within very short driving distance of the metro, grocery shopping, the mall, etc., but is still a very reasonable price for this area. The apartment is spacious, and management is friendly and attentive to any issues that may arise. The complex is well-maintained, safe, and family-friendly (we have a toddler).
i have been here for 1 year, it's very nice place, management is wonderful, helpful.. it's a pleasure for me to definitively recommend you here if you are looking for an apartment to rent..
I’ve been living here for almost two years and the management has be excellent as well as maintenance. I never have to wait long for services and everyone is always very helpful! I love it here!!!
i have been here for more than 3 years, and i am not planning to leave yet.. it's very nice place, management is wonderful, helpful.. it's a pleasure for me to definitively recommend you here if you are looking an apartment to rent..
Management is great on all levels. The apartment complex is kept clean and safe. A great place for kids and family. I have been here for a while and dont plan on leaving anytime soon.

Its wonderful to have such a happy resident here at Hermitage! Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to give us a great rating!
I moved in May 20, 2016. My unit faces the pool so the location is great. BUT, truly, the unit was NOT thoroughly inspected before they handed the keys. 2 days after move in, I wrote 8 points that needed to be checked: smoke detector, AC that doesn't cool (works like a fan), master bathroom fan noisy when on, few paint spots not finished,etc.. These are details that showed that the unit was NOT THOROUGHLY INSPECTED. So, my best advice for you is to make yourself a DETAILED CHECKLIST to go through when you are doing the move in inspection take also picture of what does not work. DON'T wait 24 hours after the move in. By the way, you are responsible for the window blinds: you break 1, you PAY IT, no surprise because they tell you when you sign the lease. I reported a broken window blind 24 h after my move in, the manager said that they took pictures of the blinds when I was there, and the blind did not appear to be broken in the picture. Not great? Am I fighting for 1 BLIND when other major things A,B,C,D,E,F has to be checked? MAKE YOUR OWN DETAILED CHECKLIST WHEN YOU DO YOUR MOVE IN INSPECTION. ADVICE FROM A CURRENT AND RECENT RESIDENT.

I have lived here for five years and my intent is only to stay one more year. Most apartment are upgraded as tenants move out. Apartments have been here since 1970s, and there are many problems with the bathroom plumbing. Bathtub always stopping up and won't drain properly. Air conditioning not as cold as it should be. Rent is a little pricy.
Excellent location great rent prices! Access to most major highways and best shopping areas minutes away from D.C. ,VA.,&Balt.
