Downtown Tampa combines the natural beauty of Florida with the hustle and bustle of the big city. Stretched along the Hillsborough River at the mouth of the bay, Downtown Tampa offers all of the prerequisite Florida fun: boating, fishing, water-skiing, and beautiful Gulf Coast beaches. Downtown Tampa is directly across the river from the University of Tampa, adding a college-town element to the neighborhood.
You'll never run out of things to do in Tampa. During hockey season, cheer on the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena (and when it isn't hockey season, a variety of other sports events and live concerts). Enjoy a Broadway play, an opera performance, and other events at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Peruse the art at Tampa Museum or Art, or head to the historic Tampa Theatre to watch a performance in a 1926 landmark. Head to the waterfront to tour the Tampa Bay History Center or go shopping at Channelside Bay Plaza.

Property Ratings at Heron
This building is a noisy rundown and has a laundry list of issues! Management will just pretend that everything‘s fine and blame the issue on anyone else but themselves!
Where do I start? They lie to get you to sign a lease then try and pretend to be sorry you were lied to. Appliance issues from day 1. Already having construction repairs with buckling concrete on balconies. Elevators never work and when they do it’s like “tower of terror” . Issues with water quality. Parking is a joke but really only funny if you can find a space and that’s with a 3rd party vendor so they just blame each other. Key fobs don’t work. You can hear people talking inside their apartment from the hallways. Oh and you get to pay for chilled water that they don’t tell you. One persons bill was $300.00! They heat the pool in the summer…should have been called “a broken hot tub”. I could really keep going but hopefully you get the point. RUN…and yes management has been given notice of these things so many times. Went to them first to give them a chance! They just don’t care.
Keep in mind I have never left a negative review anywhere my entire life. I never even tell the waiter they gave me a diet instead of a regular soda. This property has had an absolutely terrible leasing process, to the point that I am considering not leasing anymore which would be $500 down the drain. They have been scammers that leave out any details that may be an inconvenience until they already have your money. Agent acts like it’s a pain when you request information and never even gives the information that was requested. What should have taken one day took a week due to back and forth. We avoided making a big deal but it has been so unexpectedly terrible. Hundreds of dollars in admin fees just for the application for a one bedroom- does not apply to your rent, and will not be refunded. What admin am I paying for? The terrible service or the inability to even see the apartment before we pay up? Honestly all a shame because it is a beautiful property. But the leasing process is typically the honeymoon phase so either our contact is a terrible representative, or I don’t even want to know what the living experience would be like.
