Property Ratings at Hershey Heights
I was fooled into thinking this was a great place, good landscaping and seemed quiet. In the last year, it's basically just chaotic, only in certain places but management doesn't care or do anything proactive. Gotten to know a couple of the policemen since they started showing up more and more. Poop bags left out, or tossed on top of garbage lids for others to worry about. Couple dogs let loose, the usual ignorant stuff. The loud apts, those don't ever get handled. Make all the noise you want, it's a free for all. Most of the community enjoys peaceful, nice living but you are totally out of luck if you end up next to ignorant people. Nobody will care, premium rent to hear constant noise and banging. Once my contract is up, I'm out of here and can't wait to share what is really going on with some of these units. RP might not care either way, but eventually word will get around. Lots of new places being built, and probably better prices with involved management.

I do not recommend living here. While it is very close to Hershey Medical Center and downtown Hershey, it is very overpriced for the living situation. Many of the apartments are in major need of updates. For example, my apartment consistently has mold growing in every windowsill. I was told the windows would be replaced to fix the issue; however, the windows remained moldy for over 6 months. After reaching out again, I was told the windows were no longer getting replaced. The dishwasher also has not worked in the entire two years of living here despite multiple trips from maintenance. This is not the only circumstance where Hershey Heights proves they do not value their residents. Recently, after 2 years of residence, I have reached out four times regarding a recent issue that needed addressed and received no response back. Ultimately, this issue brought me to the point of ending my lease with Hershey Heights early.

Emma, we're very sorry to see this review. Although it happens infrequently, we never like to hear that a resident departed their apartment with negative feelings about our community and our service. We wish you the best of luck in your new home. Thank you.
The apartment complex is quiet, beautifully landscaped, and conveniently located near stores, schools, and medical facilities. Great maintenance and office staff.

Mary, thank you for taking the time to leave a five-star rating of Hershey Heights. We’re so glad you enjoy living in our quiet and well-maintained community. We also appreciate the kind words you've shared about members of our staff as it is our goal to always provide excellent customer service.
Overall I love living here, but I'll be honest in my review. I have a 2 bed 2 bath in one of the "showpiece" buildings Cons: - the interior is on the older side, don't expect granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, carpet is on the older side, but I've seen them replacing carpets when people move out recently - during hot and especially cold months my electricity bill is exorbitant ($313 for December and I've had my thermostat and meter replaced) - theres no pantry in the kitchen, I converted my coat closet to a pantry Pros: - GORGEOUS neighborhood, they really keep up the landscaping and it feels like a little community - my apartment is very spacious, vaulted ceilings, tons of natural light, balcony is very spacious, I also have a wood-burning fireplace which is awesome - PLENTY of parking, it's never a problem - very fast and efficient snow removal - front office and maintenance are SUPER responsive and friendly. I've had all my maintenance requests answered same day if I placed them in the morning and they are quick to replace those old appliances if need be - pet friendly, there a plenty of dogs around and owners generally do a good job of cleaning up after, although they could be better - trash bins are abundant and is never a problem - very convienent location if you work in Hershey, takes me 5 minutes to get to the med center and a brand new strip mall just opened within walking distance - each apartment has its own private entrance which is so nice - I almost never hear my neighbors - the pool is beautiful, can get crowded when school is out - very, very family friendly - very safe, I've never experienced nor had neighbors complain of crime - other than the lack of a pantry in the kitchen, there's lots of closet space and storage, my apartment came with an attic for storage - for the space, the price is a great deal I intend to live here for the entirety of my residency at Hershey Med Center I like it that much. My list above proves the pros far outweigh the cons here. If the interiors were more updated it would earn 5 stars. But I moved here from the DC area and it is by far my favorite apartment I've ever lived in.

Thank you so much for you review! We appreciate the honesty as well as the compliments! Our Residents mean everything to us. On a positive note, we are actually upgrading our interiors with granite countertops, new cabinets and hard wood laminate flooring. The new units are beautiful! Please contact the office if you think you might be interested in transferring to one of these units. Again, we thank you for your review and look forward to serving you in the future. Thanks for calling Hershey Heights home!
