The secret is out – Buffalo is an idyllic city for renters on a budget with its low cost of living and affordable apartments. As the second largest city in the State of New York, Buffalo is a hub for innovators, entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, and so many more. Known as the Queen City, Buffalo is also nicknamed the “City of Light” because it was one of the first metropolises to benefit from the light powered by the Niagara River.
Nestled along Lake Erie, Buffalo is home to an array of lush parks and beautiful views. There’s no shortage of entertainment options in this major metropolitan area. Residents enjoy cheering on the Buffalo Bills at New Era Field, listening to live music at Canalside, and sipping a pint at one of the many local breweries in town. The city’s affluent past has left behind historic architecture, ranging from grand buildings in Downtown to 19th century Victorian mansions.

Property Ratings at Hertel Avenue Townhomes
There are a lot of way better places to live. The management company here cares about nothing more then collecting there rent. Moved in to a half done apt, basically and had to finish it myself. Neighbors are horrible, I have the worst neighbor, blasts music 24/7, threatens me when I complain, had cops come here more then once. This place is dirty and the area is not great. The garbage here is not in dumpsters so there rats that run around all the time. I wish I could post screenshots of the conversations between me N the office here. There a joke. This place is a joke. Half of them are empty because the people move in move right out. Including myself. Can’t wait to be out of this place. Oh add just to be a “Karen” and add on so extra input, when we had a snow storm and the heat went out it took them almost 3 days to get my heat back on and only gave me one space heater now mind you they are supposed to be in charge of snow removal so since they did not come and remove any of the snow for over a week I could not leave to buy myself another space heater or go anywhere. So I froze for 3 days with my two dogs and they did absolutely nothing about it, my basement stairs, have no railing, half of my windows have no screens, my bathtub has yet to be caulked, and I have asked him multiple times to come in and do that so there’s no mold, the floors upstairs are peeling so you have to watch when you walk, I have cut my foot on the peeling seal that’s on the floors, the vent for heat in my bedroom doesn’t work, I’ve asked him multiple times to come fix that they never came and fix that, my toilet backs up all the time and they keep blaming it on me saying it’s the amount of toilet paper I use when clearly there’s a bigger issue because half of the time it clogs up it comes through my shower drain. The walls in my bedroom have cracks in them all over the place and for a while I had to keep spider traps out because there were spiders coming out of the cracks. We ended up having to caulk the cracks ourself. We also had to fix the cracks in the basement floor, because there were insects crawling out of that as well . All in all …. Don’t rent here. Not worth the hassle.
