Property Ratings at Hickory Trace Apartments
I was never given a move in date after waiting 30 days and never was returned full security deposit, wasn't even given a lease. My advise , pass up this place and go somewhere else.

I moved in and out within 2 weeks because there were so many roaches!
I went in the tour these apartments and immediately when I walked in the leasing office building it smelled HORRIBLE. I walk in to the leasing office and I am greeted by a women who takes me to view their model apartment. First and for most the unit was filthy. She even made a comment stating that the unit hadn't be cleaned. I go in the bathroom and there is a fixture that is supposed to have about 5 lights over the bathroom sink and every single light bulb was out except one. I then look down and see a brown ring around the toilet, VERY DISGUSTING. I made comment stating that they didn't clean the toilet and the leasing agent said "yea I said that earlier". It was completely shameful. I don't care how cheap the rent is anyone who is paying to live somewhere deserves a clean environment. I couldn't believe how filthy the model unit was. Then she had the nerve to ask if I wanted an application in which I politely declined. DEAR MANAGEMENT: there is no reason why your leasing office should smell as horribly as it does. There is no reason why you can't clean up the model unit. I mean it was gross, dirty toilets dirt you name it. Just because the rent is cheap doesn't mean you can't clean cleaning supplies aren't that expensive!! Stop being lazy and taking peoples money only to have them live in a filthy environment. I can tell the way you run your property just by how you keep up the mode unit that no one lives in. Please do better!

I had paid first month rent and the deposit as asked within a timely manner to secure the apartment and was told to wait a week for a call to get the keys when the apartment was ready. A week went by didn't get a call; so that Saturday I went by to see what was going on and the Apartment Agent told me that the maintenance people didn't order what they needed until Friday but they told everyone in the office that they would be working on our apartment. I didn't want to hear the lies or anymore excuses so I demanded my money back because they was saying they didn't know when the apartment was going to be ready even though they said a week. Maintenance at the time seemed kind of shady anyways and I didn't want to deal with that with a 3 year old
DO NOT MOVE HERE. It has been about 3 weeks without a working AC unit and a 4 year old living here. It was well over 90° today with a real feel temp of even higher. Management is pointless and has ZERO care about tenants. Hickory Trace is has not updated me on what is happening and allowed someone in my home while I was working WITHOUT any notice to me before or after. I came home to lights on and the cool/heat system completely off. Called the emergency line Saturday and no return call about this. It is 11pm and 82° INSIDE. Hickory Trace has not provided a temporary unit or fans to help during the waiting period. I have one fan of my own for my daughter and me. I cannot even open my own window due to non working windows that have never been fixed. There is NO work order for my AC unit in the office even after speaking with the office manager directly last week. On top of that. There. Are. Roaches. The unit in my building that is the problem causing unit is NOT being treated properly. They keep spraying those who want a deeper spray for bugs but NOT resolving the main unit. I have been here over a year and have seen roaches daily. I habe put in many complaints to never have the situation handled properly. These people will not make sure you are living even to the base standard of what would be comsidered normal if it cost money out of their pocket, you don't matter. They do the bare minimum to not get the health department called on them. Their emergency number is a joke. It takes you to the Kohner line, who is the topic of the apartment pyramid of owners who owns a ton of properties all over, so after calling that I still have not been called back. I was told they cannot force the complex to do anything.
