Property Ratings at Hidden Forest
The management here is the most greedy people you will ever deal with in your life. Entire apartment is new but falling apart. Everything is cheap cheap cheap. Will tow your car every chance they get.
This is a terrible place to live. The management does not care about the people that live there. The pool was closed almost the entire summer. We only were able to use it once. Once all summer. Then they messed with our parking situation. After complaining to management they just made our situation worse every single time. Please do not even consider living here unless you have no where else to go. I can not wait until our lease is up to get out of here. The management should be fired. I hope the people that run this are children because that is the only explainable reason why they would make some of the absolutely ridiculous decisions they make. This is supposed to be my home and they act like its their toy to just do whatever they please with. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
We lived here from 2008-2012 and it was a great community! We've recently moved back and it's definitely not the same. The buildings are run down, old, staff does not get back to you promptly or at all, and the parking situation stinks!!!!
Worst Service Ever !!!! I was able to get in contact with the office for about a week. I spoke to the agents they gave me all the information I needed and I sent in my application. Now that I paid for my application on October 9th I haven’t been able to get in contact with the office ever since. I’ve been calling them none stop for two weeks no one answers. The only answer I get is from the main office who says they’ll take a message and get in contact with me (very rudely as well). How is this possible? I never had any trouble speaking to anyone and now that my application is sent in and paid for I’m ghosted not even receiving an email about the status of my application or any platform for me to check where it’s out. I am honestly livid. Please do not apply for this apartment as you may be unlucky like me and fall victim to what may probably well be a scam. Not to mention that they have different numbers on different platforms. Just so many things are sketchy! PLEASE DON’T APPLY !!!

I lived in Hidden Forest for about 4 years and I loved it. Management was so nice, maintenance was prompt. I never had any issues. I had the nicest neighbors. I loved the set up in the apartment, so much closer space. I am so afraid of bugs, we sometimes got ants in the kitchen fall but that’s it! Whenever. I would see them, it would get taken care of quickly. I had a small dog and she loved it there too. Everyone was so animal friendly. I moved from my apartment last year into my now home which I love, but I have so many fond memories of hidden forest. I ways recommend This community. -Tara
I really have been so impressed with living in this community, and absolutely love the renovated, modern kitchen!! Managment has been awesome. The in-unit washer and dryer is a major plus too. Overall, I'm really happy with my decision to live here and will be renewing my lease for sure. Totally worth the monthly rent!!
I came to visit my sister and watch her cat overnight and came out and my car was towed. The signs are not sufficient to where you can and can not park I left voicemails for them early in the morning and no one has still called me back! I am very disappointed that hidden forest would call superior towing to have them come and tow random cars just to make money. They charged me 300 dollars to get my car back for 10 hours I couldn’t be more unsatisfied with this complex!
I have lived here since July 2001 and still live here in 2016. I was in a two bedroom then went to a one bedroom when my daughter's graduated college. Their two bedrooms are massive and so is the closet space. Even the one bedroom has great closet space. I love the semi private entrance and having a washer and dryer in the apartment. So all together I've been here 15 years and renewing again. Maintenance men are great and are very helpful whenever you need anything fixed. Love it here and plan on staying here.
I've lived here nearly 2 years. I absolutely LOVE my location which faces the field by the Methodist church. The apartment is spacious, the appliances, although not the newest are adequate.I appreciate having a washer and dryer in the apartment and two AC's and two ceiling fans and a dishwasher. I have no neighbors on one side and none across from me, just a beautiful field. I can sometimes hear the downstairs and next door (next to my living room) neighbors, but by 10 pm everything's quiet. The two drawbacks are the parking, and the additional utilities fees for trash, water and sewer, and gas. I don't mind paying for my OWN gas, but even when I owned a home and a mobile home, I didn't pay for trash and my water and sewer bills were for 3 months not monthly and were MUCH less. Overall, it's a great place to live. Maintenance personnel are always prompt and efficient. The only thing I'm not fond of is the allowance of pets. I also have issues with gas fumes from my stove whenever I use the oven. I requested that it be checked but don't think it has been.
I do like the unit in some ways. It's spacious and laid out well. There's plenty of closet space. However, it was dirty when we moved in. I expect to clean a new place, but this one had HAIRS PAINTED INTO THE BATHROOM WALLS. Covering almost every inch of every wall. Also, one of our closets smelled strongly of used cat litter. I got some of the smell out, but some still lingers months later. The bathroom fixtures could use an upgrade. Same goes for the kitchen. Our dryer dries poorly. Even the smallest of loads takes two full cycles to dry. The dishwasher reeks, despite repeated deep cleanings. The paint on the walls is awful. Lightly touch it with a photo frame and it leaves a big scuff. Mail delivery can be annoying. If you have a job, forget about ever getting packages until you have a day off. They're left in the office, which is rarely open. The company Hidden Forest uses to manage the utilities is atrocious. They charge a huge fee when you first move in, and a "billing fee" every month. Customer service there is bad. All of this would be tolerable. I don't expect anywhere to be perfect. I could deal with these issues. HOWEVER. The neighbors. I can't say how it is if you have an apartment facing a courtyard. Ours faces the parking lot. I do NOT recommend choosing one of these. It is loud 24/7. Most of the neighbors blast music from their cars at all hours. There are children who run around the parking lot, screaming and/or banging on the dumpsters with sticks. One neighbor recently got a loud motorcycle. He likes to rev the engine around 7 am. Noise between apartments is very bad. We hear everything our downstairs neighbors do. If your neighbors blast music or their TV, or fight, or have a baby they allow to scream for hours at a time, or repeatedly slam the front door, you will hear it all. You'll hear their garbage disposal and their washer and dryer and their dishwasher. The extremely loud sounds of your own appliances will likely drown some of that out! Also - the trash and recycling trucks. They come at random hours, usually between 4 and 8 am. Parking sucks. If you get home on a weeknight after 7 pm, you're parking in the far recesses of the complex. Tenants are given tags for their vehicles, although I have no idea why. Random people park in the lot all the time, with no repercussions. The rent is a little cheaper than other similar apartments in the area, but don't let that fool you. You'll pay the difference and more in utilities.
Pretty Nice But Expensive Delete Very roomy apartments, complex is nicely kept up, office staff is helpful and polite. Maintenance is good, most problems are fixed within 24-48 hours. (They do not work on weekends except for emergencies.) Four closets , one being a small walk-in and another rather larger walk-in. Small galley kitchens, many have been recently renovated (not mine), at a charge of an extra $100 a month. Includes the usual, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. Nice kitchen window, too. Wall-to-wall carpet and each apartment has it's own clothes washer and dryer which I consider a big plus. Semi-private entrances (2 apartments per entrance.) They allow small dogs and cats for an added $25 a month. You pay for everything here, which is a major drawback. You pay for gas, electric, water, trash and sewer plus an administration fee. You can tack an added $200 onto your bill each month for all of that. You don't pay for what you use (except electric) instead it is all lumped together throughout the complex and divided up among everyone. Just be aware of that. There is a nice swimming pool and picnic area. I live in a one bedroom and there are two air conditioning units, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Also ceiling fans in both rooms. Bathrooms are typical tiny apartment bathrooms, sink, toilet, tub/shower. Three nice size windows in the living room and a large window in the bedroom. For me the biggest drawback is the parking. There are no assigned parking spaces, instead you are issued a plastic parking pass (one) you hang on the inside mirror of your car. If you have more than one car there is a back parking lot (visitors parking lot) where you park your other car. Except they have no way whatsoever to enforce this so everyone parks everywhere. The majority of apartments are not on the drive but instead facing nice little courtyards. So you can quite often end up carrying groceries quite a long distance to your apartment because there is nowhere close to park. In winter this is a real nightmare and even if you own only one car (which is me) you end up having nowhere to park but in the farthest back parking lot. I've lived here over 8 years so obviously I like living here. The fact that they allow pets and that you have your own clothes washer and dryer in your apartment are the main reasons I moved here. (Hate "laundry facilities".) If they could get the parking situation straightened out I would give them an excellent rating.
Hidden Forest Ct. isn't the most luxurious place to live, but I really enjoy living here. Price value is great (washer/dryer in every unit!), office staffs are friendly, and maintenance requests are always handled quickly and efficiently. The apt complex is very well kept and clean considering its age. Two things I hear people complain about are lack of balconies and a community gym- I for one would prefer to be without those things so I am very happy to be living here. Location is great as well. About 35 mins from Philly and almost everything you need to live your day to day lives are only about 5 to 15 mins away- Supermarkets, malls, and movie theaters too!
Having a dishwasher, washer and dryer in your apartment is very handy! The apartments are pretty spacious with a great layoutand more than enough closets/closet space. The neighborhood is quiet and people are friendly. The office staff are very accommodating and the maintenance guys are on top of everything! I had an issue where my dishwasher broke and the maintenance guys came out the very next day to replace it. Unfortunately, the new dishwasher didn't work correctly either so they came out the next day, replaced it again and even hand wrote me an apology letter for the inconvenience. It was very thoughtful! The only thing that could make this place even better would be an on-sight gym, but even without that I'm happy as pie :)
The apartments are pretty good for what you pay. There are often excellent move-in discounts and when I moved in I was able to get two months rent-free. There are washers and dryers in the units and the appliances are in decent shape. My only complaint there was that the dishwasher is beyond its useful life. The downside of the apartment complex is that the office staff isn't always the nicest. Everything comes with a warning and a fine, "If you do this or don't do this we will give you a $50 fine." Other than that it's a nice place to live. You can get a unit with a courtyard and one near the parking. The courtyard ones are quieter and the ones by the parking lot give you easy access from your car. Really convenient to the places you need to go but still in a quiet neighborhood.
