Property Ratings at Hidden Lake
Okay, I am going to be 100% honest with you. It's not a bad place, but it needs a lot of help. When my husband and I first moved in it was okay, but later we started having problems. It was one thing after another needing to be fixed. My advice is to double check everything when you move in. The maintenance people are very sketchy for starters. The price of the apartments are only high because of the lactation. If it wasn't in the area its in it would probably be worth a lot less. The pool is always being worked on and the gym is under used and is very small. The worst thing is there is a lot of raccoons and bats at night. Also, way too many stray cats running around. At one point we saw a possum. However, on a positive note, you are by a lot of stuff and it is the cheapest apartments on this sreet. I was lucky to have nice neighbors when I lived there. So, my experience wasn't all that bad. P.S watch out for the alligators in the back pond.
I was looking forward to moving into this community, but they had no availability for my time frame. Melanie went over and above helping me figure out if there was another way to make my situation work out. I appreciate her time and I am thankful she was so kind in the entire process.
Been living there for a little over four years. My first apartment had serious ant and roach infestation issues that took over a year to resolve. The apartments are dated but serviceable. This is not a gated complex, but I've yet to hear of any serious crimes taking place on the property. My biggest beef with Hidden Lake is the ridiculous rent hikes ever single year. It's like they want you to leave. Also, I had not one but two couples move into the complex because of my referral. One of them has been there for well over a year, and I still haven't received there so called referral reward for either, which I think is supposed to be $50.
To look out my window you wouldn't guess I live in one of the busiest parts of Orlando about a mile from Universal, my apartment for one faces a treeline and looks more like Jurassic Park just outside my bedroom window. It's an older complex somewhat tucked away from the road, but still often able to hear the fireworks from the parks. It's a quiet community that sits on a small lake along with more than it's share of wildlife, frogs, raccoons, the occasional alligator, and most recently a mother bear and her two cubs. It's very peaceful, whether you feel like lounging by the pool or enjoying the view of one of the last few undeveloped areas on this side of town. It's clean and I feel safe here, I've been here about a year now and I wouldn't live anywhere else.
I have yet to move into this apt. because my lease is not quite up yet. However......I have been to see the property twice. I LOVE IT. I am sooooo hoping that there will be an opening in a few months when I need it. The property is lovely, the management was so friendly it makes you want to live there. The grounds were kept up real nice and the apts. were spacious.I guess I shouldn't be writing this for fear someone will move in there before me and I'll be out of luck...never the less, it's a community I would love to be a part of.
Maintenance is the worst I have come across in over 20 years of apartment living. The place is falling apart around you. Beware of hidden lake it's not what it seems to be.
Just walked around there. Didn't go to office. It is my dream to move there in October. I have gotten 3 emails from Mitch. Looking forward to meeting him.
Property Manager at Hidden Lake, Responded To This Review
I will not recommend anyone to rent from here. Been there less than a year and waiting for lease to expire to move out. Old washer & dryers...kitchen very old....stove is horrible. When something gets damage, no equipment in storage to replace, you have to wait for a week or more for repair or replacement. It is a horrible complex to live. Is true what they say....expect to get what you pay for!!!!
