Property Ratings at High Meadow
Quiet place with great neighbors. Pet friendly and everyone is nice and understanding of all dogs. Kerri as management is always setting up gatherings, games, and ice cream in the summer. Even if you can’t go it is nice to have the community around. I have been here a few years and have no complaints!
My fiance and I have been looking for a place to live for months with our two dogs. High Meadows is the perfect fit. It’s beautiful in a quiet area with its own community, and Kerri was so kind in guiding us through the application process. We can’t wait to officially move in and start our married life here!
This is a nice place to be at and a great benefit is that it’s pet friendly so I can have my cats here as well. The property team is also accommodating and responsive. Overall a great place for a home!
This apartment complex was my boyfriend and I’s first apartment. Kerri who is the property manager made moving in so easy and she was super helpful. While living here if any problems came up her and the maintenance guy Phil who is super nice would take of it fairly quickly and make sure everything was good. We loved being able to call this place or home!
High Meadow is a great place to live! We were so happy to find a pet friendly (both cats and dogs allowed) and peaceful place to call home! The customer service was also fabulous and it even includes free heat!! We highly recommend if you are looking for a place in the Ellington area.
Kerri, the apartment manager, hosts mini events and fun raffles and things to keep the community happy and it’s the sweetest thing. Maintenance has never been an issue. Such a great price for a pet friendly apartment. I have no complaints!
Location is nice and quiet, very rural. The apartment is slightly outdated and small but the staff Kerri/Phil are great people and make living there easy. Neighbors are nice and the entire complex is pet friendly.
High Meadow is a nice and quiet place to live. Inside is very warm and welcoming. With a short walk you get to see some beautiful scenery and Kerri and Phil are awesome and willing to help ASAP. I highly recommend High Meadow as a nice place to live.
I have called High meadow my home for almost 2 yrs now and it was one of the best apartments I have lived in. Everyone is quite and nice especially being pet friendly. Kerri the property manager is so sweet and helpful with any questions you may have. She also organizes little community events ( pizza, ice cream socials, raffles etc) which makes staying here that much more lovely. If you are looking for an apartment don't hesitate to put this place on the top of your list.
This one the best place I ever moved into the property manager Kerri is the best. Had ice cream yesterday and it was delicious, not to many property managers do things like that. Had a great experience, would recommend moving here you would also agree.
My husband and I downsized first apartment in 50 years! We weren’t sure how we would adjust to apartment living. High Meadow was perfect choice. Having our own entry was a plus. Very quiet and comfortable even our dog adjusted quickly. We feel very comfortable here and love the location. Kerry and Phil are the best! They quickly address any problem you may have. I highly recommend it.
My first time living on my own in an apartment was at High Meadow. Originally I planned on living there for six months while I found my footing, as I was new to the area. I ended up renewing my lease for one more additional year. I only left High Meadow because I needed an easier commute to work. My apartment stayed so warm and cozy through the entire winter. My first winter the pipes in my apartment were very loud when the heat came on and Kerri and Steve worked with me to quiet them down. Kerri is so amazing, kind, and helpful! She brings a lot of spirit to the community and always made me feel taken care of. I loved my view of nearby farmland, big sky, and pine trees. I loved being close to the amazing Ellington Farmer's Market and library. My apartment got some sunlight but I did feel like I lacked sunshine pouring into my place. The view of wide open sky from my bedroom helped a lot. There are some old-time residents and they are really wonderful. There can be a bit of high turnover with other renters but I think that is to be expected in any apartment complex. Sometimes the wind blows from the large dairy farm nearby, and the smell can be a bit powerful (and not in a good way). I felt very safe there and the are light posts at night but luckily not so blindingly bright so you can still see the stars!
High meadow has been our home for 10 yrs. Awesome neighbors. Always quiet. Property is well maintained with plenty of walking space for our dog. Can't say enough about Kerri and Phil. Any problems they are always there. Thank you for that?? would recommend High meadow if you want peace and quiet.
Kerri and Phil are both amazing. During our time here, every need was addressed in a timely-manner and replacements made whenever necessary. Moreover, Kerri is super accommodating and super approachable. This is quite a rarity as some property managers are unapproachable and unwilling to help. We truly appreciated our time here and are grateful to have called High Meadows our home! ??
We have been here for 9 months now. Absolutely love the apartment. The property is well maintained and very quiet. Kerri the property manager is awesome she truly cares about the residents. Phil in maintenance is also fantastic! They make a great team. You can’t go wrong if you decide to live here ??
Property Manager at High Meadow, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review about High Meadow!
We were moving from Florida and found High Meadow on line. The office manager is spot on helpful through every step of the process. She was always available for any questions. Move in was smooth and the unit was very clean. I walked barefoot and my feet did not get any more dirty than regular. There was a brand new sink drain left for us (you know how those can get) and that little thoughtful touch should tell you how this place is run. Followup from the office manager a day after move in and then again a week later just to see how things were going and if we needed anything done in the unit. I would highly recommend them!!!
My partner and I moved into a renovated unit and we absolutely love it so far! The apartment is freshly painted and clean, the kitchen/bathroom are new and updated, and the location is very quiet and close to everything we need. Kerri was fantastic during our entire move in process and was always timely with responses on any questions we had. If I could give this complex more stars I would! I highly recommend High Meadow apartments to anyone looking for a new place to call home!!! Thank you Kerri for everything!
I moved in to a renovated unit in December of 2020. Kitchen/Bath new and updated. Living room and bedroom freshly painted, new carpet in living room and bedroom carpet cleaned. Heat, Hot Water, basic cable included which is a nice bonus. Perfect space for one or two people, and pet friendly! Looking forward to being able to spend time outside in the good weather as the grounds look very inviting. A little disappointed in the laundry facilities..machines are old and rather small. Other than that, I am very pleased with my new apartment home and like it here a lot!
Absolutely love living here! The location is quiet and very close to downtown Ellington. The apartments are very reasonably priced and include heat and hot water in the rent, PLUS it is a pet-friendly community. The newly renovated units have everything you could ask for, and there is ample storage space (4 closets). Kerri and Steve do an excellent job maintaining the property and providing assistance with anything we may need as tenants. I would recommend High Meadow to anyone looking for a quality one bedroom in Ellington!
Its my second year at High Meadow, I love it, if you're looking for a quiet pet-friendly apartment this is it, management is very friendly and approachable, maintenance is very efficient, location is peaceful and easy access to highways!
Before you move you should always look into what the area, town, and apartment(s) have to offer regarding amenities, convenience, location and safety. I have to say that after living here just a few months...I think I should have looked elsewhere for housing. The new apartment communities near here, in regards to accessibility would have been a much better find. The units are dated and the neighbors aren't as friendly depending on the location of your unit. Walls are thin and neighbors goings-on can be heard quite clearly. Leasing manager appeared friendly in the beginning, but after a few months.. the endless emails and constant check-ups become bothersome or borderline obsessive. This is a complex, I would say, geared toward an aging population and they don't like much noise after 9:00 PM. They will likely report you to leasing manager if you don't follow guidelines. If you have children, this is not an apartment for you. Also, the rent is questionable...the rates don't match the upkeep and presentation of the much older 80's - early 90's units. Know before you go!! Hope this review was helpful to someone.

I was so nervous about moving out of state. New job. New apartment. But Kerri was there for me. I feel like I made the right decision. The size of the apartment is perfect and the commute is not bad at all. I like coming home to the country. Thanks, Kerri!
