It’s been good living here. They have been better about informing residents what’s happening around the building. They also have been making improvements to the building which is needed.
Overall it’s been a wonderful experience at Highgate. Great people and friendly neighbors. Apartments are well designed. Wish they continued the concierge service.

It’s been good living here. Those who work are very kind and helpful. The place is kept clean. The one issue we experience regularly is elevators breaking down.
I have been living here for a while and it has been great?. There is no noise at night and it is great. The staff is freindly and it has been great living here.
The amenities are generally good. You have everything you need for a decent apartment. The first 2 years here were great. However later on the management started to fall behind and I could barely get email responses back. I had to chase fo 3 months to get my referral bonus. They took away the concierge as well, which has always been very helpful. The mail overflow rooms are wide open during office work hours (9-5) and literally anybody can walk in and get packages. Because of this, I lost my package costing $300. Highgate was NOT helpful at all, they said they will help look the surveillance but they don't even respond to my email/phone calls. I ended up filing a police report. At the end of the day, I think that was the reason I moved out because I just couldn't get enough help from the leasing office. That being said, the only thing I love about this apartment is the maintenance team. They are above the beyond.
Living here has been good. I appreciate seeing them constantly put in the work to maintain the building and its appearance. They are taking steps to make sure we are getting good customer service, which I appreciate.

I like the lobby, common area, club room and the pool. The leasing office staff is very helpful. It is fun to live here at highgate. The area surrounding the apartment complex is great too. There is a small park as well as a dog park here.
Lot of issues. Car theft, car breaks, elevator malfunctions, sound pollution etc. It’s not the same experience as it used to be back when I first moved in.
Management has cut down on costs and it really shows… the communal areas are wearing down really fast and the paint is cracking everywhere….
Living here for 3 years now and it has been an absolute joy staying here. Great community, amazing neighborhood! Love the area. Getting public transit here is a breeze with the bus stop right in front of the building.
Most things have been good. I especially like how fast maintenance guys turn around. However I found it harder to get help after we lost our concierge - and it is also super hard to get a response from the leasing office especially if I am writing an email to them... I wish they were more responsive

Good experience thus far. It’s a quiet neighborhood. I love the public transit it is extremely accessible from the building. The location is a clear winner and it’s super close tho the mall which makes recreation activities much more accessible.
Front desk or leasing office members are hard to get hold off. Once they are on it, consider it done. Concierge should be back. Parking needs more advanced security!
The noise from neighbors has always been my main issue. Now we do not have front desk or 24/7 concierge service which is a huge inconvenience. Very disappointed in the decline of service.
My experience here has been one I don’t want to leave behind. I spent the most important time of my life in this beautiful apartment . The staff and community have been a blessing to be around! 10/10
I love this building and the great amenities such as the pool and free coffee. It’s also in a great location so close to the mall and metro as well.
Service needs lot of improvement and human touch. Service deteriorated once human was replaced with automated door service system at the entrance. It has been a chaotic situation with mail delivery, 3 elevators went down for months, vehicles break ins, garage door malfunction etc etc
The place is really nice. It’s accessible from two metro stops and the bus stop which makes commute a breeze. It is close to great malls which makes social life happening.
It’s getting worse as management side by every year. The rent doesn’t change but they cut labor such as 24/7 front desk . The safety of building is very low . Homeless people come to building and sleep in the study room.
This is a long and dreadful story. I applied for Highgate sometime around 11/20/2022 (a year ago) and paid $450 application fee and deposit. When I applied for looking at the apartments, I used a nick name, did not expect they used the name for credit check. As TransUnion did not find a matching name, they asked for a guarantor, and I only then found out they didn’t ask me for my legal name. That can be my mistake, but I asked them to correct the name to resubmit the credit check. I waited for days (anxious as I already promised my old landlord a move out date) and then they told me TransUnion still came back with no credit history. I got the contact information and talked to TransUnion directly, and they told me they ever received only one credit request, never received an update (or correction or a fresh request from my legal name). I talked to the management there and they said they did refile the credit check and they couldn’t do anything more. Very frustrated with them and under the time pressure, I found another apartment nearby and moved in in just 4 days. I told Highgate that I would withdraw the application and would like to get $400 deposit back (based on their own policy, $50 application fee is non-refundable but $400 deposit is). They told me it would take 3-4 weeks for the refund to process. Since then , I emailed them many times and stopped by many times , they do not respond to emails and only promised to check when I visited them. Now almost exactly one year past, and I still do not see that refund. Thinking that filing a lawsuit for $400 is not worth my time and money, I am giving it up, but would let people here know that you should be careful dealing with Highgate.
Living here has been good over the past year. I do with they had a better system for packages once the mail room lockers fill up or the package is too big. We often don’t receive an email when we have a package in the back room and it will sit in there for days without us knowing it. But the place is clean, quiet, and management is very responsive and helpful.
Moving out really sucked… they tried to blame cracks in the ceiling due to settlement on us… I mean it was really awful how they won’t maintain the building but try to transfer the costs onto us…
I will start by saying I love my unit on the first floor! However, neighbors can be heard easily through the walls. Ive had a few issues but management has worked with me through each step.
Love living at Highgate! It’s a fun and peaceful experience. Staff is great. Amenities are good! The accessibility to public transit like bus and metro is good and hence makes your travel a breeze!

I have been living over a year at Highgate and I absolutely love living here. It’s hard to imagine to live in such a serene and peaceful place in the heart of Tysons corner.
The building is nice, maintenance is always very responsive, and helpful, however they are taking away our concierge service and are not even lowering our rent. I would prefer to have the service, as the concierge has always been helpful.

I'm currently staying at Highgate in Tyson's Corner, and I wanted to share a brief review of my experience. Highgate is an exceptional place to stay in Tyson's Corner. From the moment I arrived, I am impressed by the friendly and attentive staff. The apartment itself is spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. The modern aesthetic and tasteful decor create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Overall, living her at High Gate at Tyson's Corner can be a wonderful experience. The area is known for its excellent shopping and dining options, and there are plenty of entertainment options nearby. Additionally, the proximity to major highways and public transportation makes commuting a breeze.
Its an okay place to live. There are people smoking weed on every floor. Security is a big issue here. Beware of the management promising you this is a safe residence.

Friendly staff I can easily go down and get my packages when delivered and nice hot coffee everyday. Nice gym even though I don’t use it lol
Still enjoy living here. The balcony is a current highlight this time of the year. Additionally grateful for all the staff who keep our lobby, hallways, gym, and other amenities so nice and clean.
We chose Highgate for its safety and security. We pay $100 per month to park our vehicle in a secure location. The gate to the parking garage has been broke for several months now and in the past 12 months we’ve lived here, it’s been broken for at last 8 of those months. Our car was broken into with our belongings stolen. Staff is unhelpful and condescending. I would not recommend. The gate that was broken for several months has now been fixed and the other garage gate is broken. In January, my husband was stuck in an elevator for an hour with no communication from Highgate staff while in that elevator. Highgate will no longer be offering daytime concierge service and most recently, management is not honoring the early renewal benefits.
Living here is great. There’s a cool gym and a pool. People are friendly and packages are stored safely here as well. Leasing staff is friendly too.
Very convenient location, and leasing office staff are very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Especially Aaron is the best!!
I would recommend Highgate to anyone as a great place to live. Aaron and Jillian have been helpful and are extremely professional.
