Property Ratings at Highland Hills
Lived here for a few years and it was fine until I had a noisy neighbor move in next door. Continuous noise, playing loud thumping music I could hear everywhere in my apt at all hours, 10 pm, 2 am, 4 am, noon, didn't matter and complaining about it accomplished exactly nothing. The prices were high compared to the old units, dated appliances, and occasional a/c outage, but not being able to sleep and not having anyone do anything about it was the worst. Look elsewhere.

I lived in phase 2 in a one bed apartment for a year. The staff was amazing and always was willing to help when it came to anything! I always knew I could call the office and Andrea or the manager Maria would help in anyway possible! I would recommend these apartments to everyone!!

Thank you so much for your kind words. Our team strives to create an outstanding apartment experience for our residents and we are happy to hear that we were able meet your expectations.
Over the past year I have watched this complex go farther and farther to the deep in. Everyone used to be friendly and helpful but now they want to increase rent and not fix things properly. I have put in over 4 service requests stretching over a month in time for my ac not working. The first week the guy stated he had to order a part. The next week came and nothing fixed. I put in another request and called management. They stated they just talked with them and it would be a week for a part to come in they had to order. Now I'm writing this unable to sleep over a month later with still no working a.c.. If this would have been summer I would have already moved out.

My husband is military so we rented site unseen...HUGE MISTAKE!! Holly was helpful but never seemed to get anything she promised done...anything to get you to rent an apartment is how we felt! Once we moved in nothing they told us happened! The noise was ridiculous...and no one in the office seemed to care that our neighbors had parties during the week until 2am!! We were always told to just call the courtesy officer....who NEVER RESPONDED!! The pool is gross...closed most of the time! We moved after our lease was up and was charged over $800 for painting, carpet cleaning and bogus charges! MILITARY FAMILIES RUN...NOT WORTH THE HIGH RENT!!
This place was terrible with a lazy office staff!! We lived there for a year and literally caught over 15 " field mice"! Our apartment was basically infested and no one even bothered to care until I mentioned calling the Health Department! The bark park was a muddy mess with water standing ALL of the time...the manager told us they were going to move it but like most things she said it never happened! The pool was closed in the new section more than it was open because "when it rains the chemicals are off"...well when it wasn't raining the water was cloudy with clumps of hair floating in it! JUST GROSS! The noise from our neighbors and outside in the breezeway was terrible... I could hear my neighbors talking in their bedroom...not pleasant! This is an over priced GETTO! You will regret ever living here!

While I agree with the other reviews, nice quite apartments, they fail to mention how the grounds look. Looks great when you drive in but the further you go into property the less up keep you see. Around the perimeter of the property the grass isn't cut, bushes aren't trimmed, and flower beds are bare (no pine straw). If this is SERIOUS LUXURY shouldn't they seriously maintain the entire property, not just what you see on the tour? The grass is waist high along the edge of property in places not seen from the golf cart tour. This is where mice have been seen as recently as last weekend. Again nice apartments, helpful staff, and nice amenities but lawn care just isn't one of them!

I live in a 3rd floor, 1 Bdrm/ 1 Bath apartment and couldn't be happier! Building is quiet and well maintained. Any maintenance issues that have come up over the last year have been quickly taken care of. Wonderful, helpful staff and a beautiful pool and clubhouse made this an obvious choice when I was moving to the area. Complex is close to shopping and restaurants in Dothan and only a quick drive to the downtown area.

Thank you for your review and sharing your experience with others. We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your time at our community.
Im retired and lived here for 6 months before buying a house. I had no trouble with anything. The complex is well kept as was my apt. No noise or security problems ever. I found the staff to be friendly and competent. The management would not put up with people who disrupt the peaceful living of other residents. I would have no problem living at Highland Hills again if i had to.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are thrilled to have earned your 5-star review!
My husband's job transferred him to Dothan and we did not have time to come search for apartments before moving. The office staff was very friendly and helpful over the phone & by e-mail. They sent us photos and our apartment is exactly what we thought it would be. You definitely get what you pay for. We love being on the West side of Dothan because of the school districts and how safe it feels. Our daughters love the splash pad at the pool and our lab loves the bark park! We can't wait for it to warm up so we can sit outside and enjoy our screened in patio. Highland Hills was definitely a perfect match for us!

Thank you for your review and sharing your experience with others. We are thrilled to have earned your 5-star review!
I lived here for two years. These are the newest apartments in Dothan and the most expensive but the apartments are far better than any other units in Dothan. The office Staff was ALWAYS very helpful and nice, and looked at atleast 8 apartment complexes before I chose. This office staff always went above and beyond to help me. The noise is an issue but I know it is part of apartment living. There aren't a lot of amenities per say, a gym and pool, the basics.
