Just north of Anaheim lies Fullerton, an energetic community full of public parks, unique shops, and an enviable variety of arts and entertainment options. This diverse area exhibits classic California, with Spanish-style homes and apartments set behind picturesque palm trees on wide boulevards. The area is full of families, artists, working professionals, and more, giving it a livelier atmosphere than surrounding areas.
The huge number of students enrolled at Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton comprise a hefty chunk of the local population, and clusters of restaurants and nightlife hotspots can be found around their campuses. The Continental Room and Matador Cantina both command a crowd on the weekends, and Brea Mall offers up some of the best shopping outside central LA.
Theater and film events fill the calendar, and the local music scene has produced dozens of notable alumni over the years.

Property Ratings at Highland Meadows Apartments
My husband and I lived at Highland Meadows for about two years and we truly loved it there. The amenities are amazing, the grounds are beautiful (oh, the flowers!), and the staff is wonderful. Mikey is the most patient, gracious, kind, and helpful manager ever. If relocation wasn't a must for work, we would've stayed for years to come and enjoyed every moment knowing we lived in a beautiful, quiet space supported by the wonderful Highland Meadows team. Thank you!!!
Highland Meadows is an amazing place to live. It's a beautiful and natural property with beautiful trees and foliage throughout. My wife and I lived there for about 2 years and loved it. Clean and quiet property, fantastic amenities, clean laundry facilities, and amazing staff. Mikey was an amazing manager! She was always communicative and there for us whenever we needed. Thank you Highland Meadows. We'll really miss ya!
My wife and I have lived here for almost 2 years now and we're so glad it was our first place on our own. The apartment we have is a one-bedroom and it's very uniquely laid out. We love the fact that the closet is a spacious walk-in closet as it's a great place for storage. The apartments are definitely spacious and comfortable while still feeling cozy. The only thing is I would say that they are slightly dated. The AC is also situated in the living room and if there's no way to move air from the living room to the bedroom, it can get a bit stuffy. We have a fan that pushes air into our bedroom so it's not an issue for us! Also, the apartment can feel cavelike as there are only windows on one side of the apartment but this isn't a big issue and light still makes its way in where it needs to. The apartment grounds are very park-like and feel nice to walk around. People are usually pretty respectful and keep to themselves but I've had a fair few people wave hi to me as I walk around on my breaks. The only con is that the numerous trees do lead to a lot of leaves on our patios but it's so pretty and fairly easy to clean. Everything else is well taken care of and the grounds always look nice. Last but not least, Management is amazing. Our manager takes such good care of us and has always taken the time to explain questions and also gotten back to us quickly. Her team for maintenance is really great as well and very friendly. For example, our plumbing had an issue when we first moved in and they took care of it the same day even when it might've been hard to get a hold of a plumber on a weekend. She also helped me locate packages that may have been delivered to the wrong apartment. I really do like working with our management. All in all, I do recommend this place especially if it's one of your first apartments!
I lived here for about 2 years and I loved the property. Management was very friendly! Close to Target and other essential stores. The street is very quiet, a plus that the property was gated. Only left because I moved out of state, would 100% rent here again.
My boyfriend and I lived in a studio here for about a year and a half after college and it was the best decision. It is full of lots of grass and trees and most people had plants and flowers on their balcony. Very quiet at night as there are not too many units. The studio was very spacious and the balcony is very large. The management is very nice and responsive. Late in the year I found a crack in the toilet and it was completely replaced by the next day. The pool area is nice and there are community grills that people cook on often. We personally loved being on the grill, in the pool, or on the balcony because of all the trees. Overall great experience with Highland Meadows.
I moved into these apartments in the fall of 2014, and absolutely loved it here. The whole community is gorgeous, with plenty of greenery and the walking paths throughout the complex were perfect for when I walked my cats. Also, the fact the community is so quiet, made it so much easier to train my cats how to walk on leashes. In addition the lease is month-to-month, but there are plenty of people who had lived there for a long time. The management team is very nice and humble. The staff actually live there, so if there is every any issue, they are right there ready to help. The apartments themselves are big and spacious, offering Studios to 2-bedrooms. For the cost of living in Orange County, how much you pay vs. the square footage is a great deal, with even offering two garage parking, these apartments are even better than the ones right across the street. They may not be as modern as some other places, but the feel is very homey and you feel like you’re tucked away in your own little corner here. I moved out in 2017, but only because I wanted to live a little closer to my job. I know if I ever changed jobs, I would want to move back here because I really like the community, the management and the homey vibes. Can’t recommend this place enough and even now, I tell people I know to check this place when they are looking to move, because I know they won’t be disappointed. I posted this same review on Yelp, but I wanted to share it on here as well so it gets more exposure.
I have been living here for the last 4 years and I could not be happier with this place. The management team does a great job dealing with all emergencies and repair request. They also do a great job keeping this place clean, quiet, and safe. It is also in a great location at walking distance from large Shopping centers.
Moving from a house to an apartment was hard for me but I had no choice. I always said I would never want to live in an apartment again. This complex changed my mind. The apt. was very clean when I moved in. Anything that needed fixing was fixed immediately, once even when my vanity sink fixture exploded in a gusher of water they came out right away, it was in the middle of the night! I can't think of any amenity that isn't in this complex. A large pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, basketball court, tennis court, club house, gym, pool tables, covered parking, gated parking area, good size laundry room with brand new washers and dryers, water fountains in front, a Gazebo, nice size patios for each apt. Walk in closet, not to mentions a dishwasher and microwave oven, even outdoor grills throughout. This place has it all.
