Property Ratings at Highland Park Apartment Homes
When I moved in the apt was filthy dirty. Bugs every where. The carpet feels wet when it rains or is humid. First, toilet was broke and leaking water. Now my dryer quit working, and I have to wait for them, and leave my clothes wet and soggy, until they decide they can come in and fix it. I have not even been here a full month yet. The apts and hallways smell. They do not change out the carpet, so my apt. smells. I have to keep constant air fresheners going to make it smell good. I have lived in other Price Brothers apts. with no issues. Then, reading the review of someone who was forced to take their American Flag down, is over the top. I have asked to speak with management and they will not speak to their residents. I am overpaying for a 1 bedroom that is literally trash (I was not able to see the apt until I moved in). They also allow smoking, so you can smell smoke from other apts. The only positive is their grounds are very pretty, which lure people in.

I lived a Highland Park for about 8 months. In October I saw a mouse run out from behind the fridge. I notified the office of the instance, and they came out and put down traps and some poison. I thought that was the only one we would see. NO! My daughter and I woke up and flipped on a light and saw not one but two! One was dead, and one was still half alive. I called the office and told them about the issue, they said “OK, we will have them come put more traps down.” That cycle of waking up and seeing several dead happened at least 2 more times. I was having company one weekend and we were sitting on my couch and saw one run across the living room. I went to the office that morning and they said, “well, we will have the exterminator come out and see what’s going on.” I said, “are they going to patch the holes?” They said they did, but they kept coming in. The manager Ashley laughed at me and said, “I can’t believe this is happening.” After several attempts to get the district managers information I finally got that and all she said was, “we took care of the issue.” That “this happens in apartments”. I don’t know where these people have lived but I have lived in several apartments and never had this issue. I lived at Highland Park about 10 years ago and had one mouse then. Had I remembered that I would have no way moved back. After that interaction with her, I found another mouse. I called and the head maintenance guy would come out and investigate. He did and found another one and said “I did double check the outside where they are coming in and they didn’t patch the hole the way they should have.” Even after several complaints no one thought to go make sure it was done correctly. They exterminator and the maintenance team came every other day, every time they came, they found one. All in all, I found 13 or 14 mice in my apartment. These apartments are not that large, it was so unnerving being there. I have a young daughter that I wouldn’t let play on the floor, we couldn’t fully live in our home. The only staff member who seemed to care about the problem was the assistant manager, Melissa. She was kind, and willing to answer all my questions.

They lose paperwork. I moved in with a service dog. A year and a half later, they lost it and required new. Charged me a pet deposit which i just paid until i would get the information. I got them the service information and they never returned deposit and continued to charge pet fees. I gave them notice to move out by phone and on paper on july 24rth, stating i was moving out august 10th. I turned in my keys august 8th and they magically found them on august 12th. Continued to charge me rent til september 11th. And charged me for a new lease after moving out, along with pet fees and other bs. Ive had 2 vehicles stolen from here the day after maintenance done. I have the police reports to match.

overpriced and old. Maintenance staff will enter your unit without notice and use your things. Rude office staff. Save yourself the stress and don't rent here.

We love reading reviews like this! It's our pleasure to provide a 5-star experience for you. -The Highland Park Team
My husband and I have lived at Highland Park for 7 years! We have lived in 3 different layouts within this community. Our first apartment here was a 1 bedroom, and we outgrew it within a few years but we could not imagine living at another community, so we transferred to a 2 bedroom and then transferred to another, bigger 2 bedroom after that. The transitions were both so smooth and the office has always been very organized and friendly. The location here is unbeatable! Seconds away from the major highways and so close to everything. The office staff is always nice and professional and maintenance always takes care of any issues! All of the amenities are awesome too! I even had my bridal shower in the clubhouse :) You will not regret choosing Highland Park as your home. The only reason we are leaving is to buy a house. Thanks for an awesome 7 years!

It makes our hearts happy to hear how we have been able to provide more than one apartment home for you as your needs changed over the years. Thank you for living life with us at Highland Park. We wish you the best of luck with your new home! - The Highland Park Team
Think twice before moving to these apartments. The pictures they use to advertise the apartments are, obviously, the most recent upgrades - the pool, the workout room, more pics of the pool.... Where are the pictures of the apartments, and the mice that have been around all winter? Maintenance has been called, and no help!! We have holes in our kitchen floor and no one comes to fix them! Can't wait to get out of here!
I have lived there for four years and the turnover is very high. You will get incorrect information but later they will charge you the "correct price". Very . Before you take the apartment the employees(Phil, Jane, Rochelle, Michelle, Brooke) at the leasing office are nice and unprofessional and rude when you start living there. Guys, watch out for all the bugs & insects in the apartment during summertime. They charge you a fee for insect spray but they shouldn't bother spraying for the amount that they spray. It's not worth the mental harassment for the price that you pay. There are way better apartments out there. Good luck!!!
A girl I went to school with just shared a letter from Highland Park Apartments stating that they need to remove the American flag from their balcony. This woman's husband is a marine who is serving our country. They talked to management and were still told that the flag needed to be removed by the end of the day. This is an absolute disgrace. Tune in to Fox 4 tonight (if read later the date is 11/03/2016) to see the interview with the man who is serving our country yet doesn't have the right to display patriotism on his own balcony.
The apartment complex just demanded an American Flag be removed from a neighbor's balcony, which is in direct violation of the "Freedom to Display the American Flag Act". Unacceptable.
I have lived here for almost a year. I do not plan on renewing my lease. The location is great and the pool/club house are kept nicely. I have had maintenance issues with washer, hot water tank, and leaks that have been an ongoing problem for 4 months and have yet to be resolved. Hot tub has not been working since I've lived here.
These people take forever to fix things when they don't work, and try to charge for everything when you move out. Really glad it's all over and done with but because of these people I will never rent again.
I have been living here for almost a month and so far I have no complaints. I have a washer, dryer, and a dish washer which is a step up from my old college appartment back in Montana. When I first moved in Carly was extremely friendly and kind and even told me the best places nearby to go. I have no negative experiences so far except for my neighbors dog who likes to do gymnastics upstairs sometime(completely joking its not bad at all). All my neighbors have been friendly but I will keep this updated if anything changes. I love this place.
I lived in this complex for 2 years and had nothing but one bad experience after the other. Mice for a solid month, leaks that never got fixed, mold that they only painted over to cover up and the list could go on. Lots of temporary fixes unfortunately... The hall smelled like smoke all of the time because of people smoking in their apartment. I called to complain and they didn't seem to care. They put that bright orange sticker on your car if you get a flat tire but if you work for price brother you can leave your car there for over 3 months and no one seems to care... They barely give you a 24 hour notice about any maintenance that will be done. The plus is that its very convenient to highway and the staff was helpful and nice.
I've been here for almost two years. The first year was great. The end of my first lease involved a rate increase, but it was not outrageous. Over the most recent lease, I have had to deal with a neighbor that was not great. For reasons unknown to me my neighbot was removed from the apartment and everything is well. The main pool needs some maintenance, but overall this place is a great place to live. I will be renewing my lease in a couple of months.
My apt is a one bedroom that venture fireplace and full washer and dryer with a high celling , big living room and a balcony that looks over 103rd street very convenient to my job and 69hwy , shopping, mall, stores I really love this place
great apartments but have had our street paved twice in a year
