Property Ratings at Highlander Heights
They renamed it to something stupid, but the location is the same. Can’t get any help with anything. I’ve had repairs that I’ve needed done for years. Currently on day six without a toilet that works With very minimal communication. My rent has gone up every year. I’ve lived here for four years and despite the fact that I love the location and the size of the unit, I highly doubt I’ll stay.
Cannot get repairs. Burn up electric problems. Plumbing problems. Black mold. Had to pay for own front door. Try to get help. But no result. Refrigerator doesn't work right bt no help.
These new owners are amazing!! They came out to fix a leak under the sink and then replaced my windows just because they didn’t like the way the looked. Thank goodness there is new ownership that cares about their tenants
We contacted the manager about a month ago about renting an apartment. Everything seemed to be fine, she was going to show us the apartment as soon as it was ready. We contacted her the next weekend and spoke with her and all still seemed well. We have since made numerous attempts to reach her because we were very interested in the apartment, however, have not received any response to date. Very unprofessional and disappointing.
Very unprofessional. If your her friend or family friend you wont have issues. 10 days past our move in date we met Shay for the keys and to sign the lease. Shay came without the lease, claiming issues with her printer. I paid my security deposit and 1st month prorated due, I had to ask for a receipt, she scrambled for a piece of paper to write my receipt. Shay also assured me I would receive a lease, 3 months of my requests I received a letter headed letter stating I rent the property. The parking is first come first serve and theres no handicap parking. It shares parking and a drive way with Medilodge of Howell. Side walks not cleared of snow. Dog policy is based on her uneducated opinion. Shay claims owner doesn't allow certain breeds, yet she allows tenants with said breeds. She makes threats of force, and or using her concealed weapon if theres issues with dogs on the property. No lease, no rules and regulations to go by. Also gives Shay the right to evict for her own agenda. No return of my security deposit either... MOST IMPORTANTLY : SHAY CONTINUES TO RENT TO THIEVES. I REPORTED THE THEFT TO THE OWNER, I WAS EVICTED FOR IT. MORE RECENTLY 4 OF 5 FIVE WERE ARRESTED FOR LOCAL THEFT. THESE ARE HER TYPE OF FRIENDS SHE CHOOSES TO RENT TO BEWARE!
Shay is the best property manager in Howell. Been living here for almost 3 yrs. they even come out to change the light bulbs.
