Property Ratings at Highlander Square Apartments
We are looking for an apartment for my daughter. We have seen several websites that say Highlander square has 2 apartments NOW AVAILABLE, and they are ALL BILLS PAID. The leasing lady basically yelled at us and had a horrible attitude. She stated they didn't have anything available and they were NOT all bills paid. Then told my daughter her music was boom booming and she could hear it when my daughter pulled up?! My daughter drives a Ford Focus with no sound system. It doesn't go boom boom. My first impression of the complex was horrible. Good luck getting anything fixed here, they can't even update their internet ads.
I have lived here twice before and both times I had no issues with repairs when Management was notified, but I moved back in on August 28 of this year and was notified upon getting the apartment that the Air conditioning was out and that they had someone coming to fix it. On September 22nd, the Air conditioner repair person showed up to fix it but did not have proper tools or supplies to fix it and stated he would not be able to fix it until after the Memorial Day holiday weekend. 11 day later, I submitted a written note to Management as per lease and no one came to fix it so I wen't to Manager and was notified that the Repair Man was good at repairing air conditioning and that He owns a trucking company, lives in Austin Texas and that he does this on the side. She tried to contact Him while I was in the Office but could not find His phone number online or in her records at that time, but stated He comes on Wednesdays. Now it has been two more Wednesdays past; since I spoke to Management and still the Air Conditioner has not been fixed. Even though they did put in a window unit in the living Area before I moved in. I explained to Management that having to get up multiple times throughout the night to regulate it because the unit is always running I have not had a full night sleep since I moved in. I guess Reasonable Time Limit to repair broken equipment means: as long as Management does not lose sleep over it or as long as they don't have to pay for qualified A/C Repair Service that does not give them the cheapest labor price. I would not recommend this Apartment Complex to my worst enemy.
These are great Apartments if you're on a budget plus the staff is very friendly pool is nice.
