Property Ratings at Highlands At Alexander Pointe
I’ve lived here for 2 years and just signed up for my third. As far as apartment complex’s go I’ve been really impressed. The maintenance team is on point and has always gotten everything fixed for me super quick, whether it’s appliances, HVAC, or plumbing they have always been awesome (shoutout to Kelso) Darian, Alex, and Khalil, in the front office have all been super friendly and awesome too they communicate everything very proactively and are on top of their work, it’s made the moving process super quick and easy for me and my roommates. The community here is pretty nice too, when I first moved in a few years ago we saw one or two car break ins but haven’t seen anything bad happen since. There’s a lot of families living here and I haven’t met anyone I haven’t gotten along with yet. If you’re worried about noise, you can hear the PNC pavilion from most places in the complex but it’s not bad and definitely a distant sound, I kind of like it though you can almost get live music concerts for free haha.
Darion was very warm and welcoming and gave a great informational tour of a variety of apartments and the amenities the property offers. As a potential new Charlotte resident, Darion provided a lot of information on the area and helped us feel right at home. I would highly recommend Darion to provide your tour if you are interested in this property!
This was the 2nd time I lived at this complex. Both times I enjoyed the stay and even referred friends. I got my leasing prices really late this year so I didn’t even have the 90 days they normally give. I gave notice to move out only to find out not even through the complex that my lease was extended which cost me over $1000. I cleaned up the apartment prior to leaving and just got notice that they were keeping my $500 deposit due to the carpet which was not even new and worn down when I moved into the apartment. They are also telling me on top of keeping my deposit I owe them $324 more. I’m very disappointed with this complex and will never recommend them to anyone again. The water stays cut off at least every other month and I lived through that and said nothing everytime things got broken. I think it is unethical to treat people this way and understand now why people move out of there and make bad reviews. Now I believe every bad review I ever saw and understand why people hate this complex. Please do not move here. There are better, newer apartments in the area that cost less.

Thank you for leaving us a review! we are glad to hear you enjoyed your tour, we look forward to having you as a resident.
There are too many issues with management to even list here. Don’t waste your time and money paying for amenities that aren’t operable or available to us. The service all around is terrible. Management is a joke and doesn’t do their job. Definitely way overpriced for the type of nonexistent service and subpar management they have. I’m so disappointed that they sold me this place under the pretense of false advertising.

Hi, we appreciate your feedback and would like to take the time to discuss where you feel we have dropped the ball. Our guest/residents are important to us and we want to make sure that all their needs in a community are met! We are looking forward to seeing you at our new pool area, fitness center, and brand new amenity center. Give us a call or stop in so we can fix what went wrong.
Will not return calls or emails…. Just try getting the HO too before you move here. Property manager and area director should not be in these roles. Awful….. please don’t rent here. Save yourself the pain. These are not the people you want to rent from.

Thank you for your time as well as your feedback regarding your experience. I would like to send my sincerest apology in connect with the property. Our priority is to put the residents first, but sometimes we miss the mark. The property is going through a transitional period, with that being said, there are some growing pains as well as learning curves. We will take your feedback and use this as a learning tool that we continue to improve in the area of excellent customer service. - Property Manager
If I could give this place 0 stars that’s what I would have provided. Do not waste your money at this facility. The staff is extremely unprofessional, they do not return calls and they’re hardly ever available to pick up the phone. The apartments DO NOT look anything like the photos online. They fail to inform you that all of the units are not updated and do not have updated appliances/white cabinets in the kitchen. The units smelled like cigarette smoke and the manager insists they are transitioning into new staff where multiple changes will be made but has no info regarding which floor plans are updated, no info regarding the crime in the area (based on the reviews). Essentially no info regarding anything and has a horrible attitude. I do not recommend this place at all.

My neighbors are loud on all sides, the floors and walls are paper thin, it takes a very long time to have service request completed, there is work going on all the time which makes it loud constantly during the day, the new management team are unprofessional and dictate to tenants rather than communicate appropriately . There is constant traffic congestion in the parking areas, packages are always stolen despite the luxor delivery box that is constantly not operating correctly. The front exit gate is open majority of the time, allowing anyone to drive onto the property. There are many hidden fees that are thrown out there that make no sense. It’s expensive to live here and far from luxury. I wish someone would have completed an honest review before I relocated here, now I am stuck here because I refuse to pay 2 months rent to break my lease.
Hi! If you’re looking for a great place with amazing at amenities you’ve found a place! I recently inquired about a one bedroom and the staff was extremely helpful( since I’m VERY picky)

We really appreciate you recommending us and are so glad to hear that our team gave you a great experience! Thank you for your interest, and please call or stop by if there is anything we can help you with.
The rental office has an easy going team. When there is a problem they get it fixed right away. Biggest down side is the annoying gate, the speed bump is in the wrong spot so it's a little difficult to scan in. Also the pool rules are pretty strict for an apartment but I personally haven't had an issue.
Property Manager at Highlands At Alexander Pointe, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your lovely compliments for our team! We do our best to resolve resident concerns as quickly as possible, so your recognition means a lot to us. We've made note of your feedback about the pool rules, gate, and speed bump, and we'll take it into consideration as we make plans for the future of the community.
Wonderful office staff! Apartments are great! I have been there 6 years without incident. You’ll love this place.
Property Manager at Highlands At Alexander Pointe, Responded To This Review
Thank you for being a loyal resident! It means a lot to us that you're still thrilled with your home and our team after six years.
I hate this community. I honestly thought these people will be nice and helpful. But no they are not. I have been living here for 2 months and i had submitted maintenance requests in the first week of me moving in about some faulty appliances and bathroom. They still havent fixed it yet. I have gone to the leasing office multiple times yet they say the same thing everytime that the guy will come today and fix it. But no one ever does. Besides that the bug problem is terrible. Everyday new bugs come up around the apartment and sometimes inside. They dont do pest control as often as they claim to do. Three of my packages have gone missing from the leasing office and they dont do anything to help you out in that. Also the walls and ceilings are so thin that we can hear everything thats going upstairs and next door. The HVAC unit is so old that it makes so much noise and guess what they cant replace it. You cant have hot water for more than 30 minutes at a time. If i could leave the apartment i will leave immediately, sadly I am stuck for 10 more months. I will not recommend this apartment to anyone ever. Worst place to live. But if you cant afford anything else please feel free to live here.
I've been living here for going on 5 years. My lease was up July 17 and because they are remodeling if I wanted the upgrade I'd have to pay $200 extra. So I said no thank you and submitted my 2 month termination. For 12 hours I research what else was being offered around me. In all the excitement I made a list of 13 that catered to me aesthetically and close to work. Next, I started reading the reviews and I tell you I begin scratching off potential places due to those who experienced bug problems, gun shots, rude customer service, thin walls, limited parking, condoms on the lawn, slack lawn care, no gym, late to do repairs and loudness. My, my, my that's when it all just hit me. I've been spoiled. The Highlands at Alexander Pointe has set the bar and It wasn't until I learned what other's had experienced that I understood how well I've had it. The only reason I wanted to leave is because the remodel would hike my rent and TimeWarner is mandatory. After weighing out the other mess that other communities allow, I don't mind paying Timewarner and I don't need a two bed room I'll go with a one and still get the upgrades. I've been here for years and haven't experience the things I read about. If I had, I would tell you. I'm proud to call this place my lil bit of heaven.
Britani is wonderful and very helpful. She made apartment hunting a fun experience. If you're going to live somewhere I say the highlands. Her knowledge and personality stuck out between the 12 other places we looked at before choosing them. Thank you britani!
I have lived in the Highlands at Alexander Pointe community for 6 years. I enjoy all the amenities the Community has to offer. I feel very safe in the community. Every year I renew my lease, because I know I will never find a community that will compare to the Highlands. So i do not waste my time looking. The Highlands has an awesome, professional and courteous staff. They are always attentive to my questions and concerns. If you are looking for a community (home) please go and speak with Tish, Britani, Krista or Brooks. They will be glad to assist you in anyway. Kim Rover
I have lived here for almost a month. Jennifer from the leasing office was friendly and helpful. I appreciate that this is an environmentally conscious community. There are amazing amenities such as the salt water pool, fire pit, and grills, and fitness center. My apartment is fully upgraded with granite counter tops, wood flooring, and stainless steel appliances. This is the luxury, resort style living I have been looking for. The only downside is the mandatory $75 Time Warner Cable service. I had to call a technician out to get things working.
Recently moved to this complex and the experience so far as been pretty good. Excellent staff and cooperative workers. Pool is always busy but in the sense of frolicking with your neighbors.
