Property Ratings at Highlands Viera West
My family moved in to a unit here and things started off great. Come late spring/early summer, our a/c went out. We thought this would get fixed and things would be fine but they weren’t. We ended up experiencing multiple a/c issues…everything from not working in the heat of the summer to leaks in the ducts, vents, and down the walls. The issues continued until we were finally able to move out. I am currently undergoing evaluation for mold exposure due to illness that began after having a/c work done that resulted in a stream of water running down the wall after they “leveled” the unit. Because going without a/c during the FL summer wasn’t enough, when we moved out management pulled up the carpet and charged us for replacing it. When questioned, a response was provided that it was because of animals. We disputed the claim and asked if the carpet was replaced prior to us moving in as the previous tenant had animals. We’ve yet to receive a response and they also have not provided any proof that it was our animals. We keep getting emails like “we’re still looking in to it.” We also went without a dryer for weeks because they wanted to try and repair the one in the unit rather than replace it so we had to take clothes elsewhere to dry them. I realize that nowhere is perfect but a place that is unwilling to work with me regarding possible health issues caused by their property isn’t a place I can recommend. Furthermore, the maintenance repairs were bandaid fixes so they could get in and get out. Our overall experience was less than desired and has now become a nightmare.

This place is disgusting. They lure you in with their low(er) prices in Viera and they "spacious" floor plans. Don't be fooled. This place is old, filthy and full of mold. I have been living here for 4 years and just got diagnosed with mold toxicity. The 5 star reviews are probably paid. Pay the extra $200 and live somewhere else. Trust me.

Me and my wife are soon moving in, after looking at other locations around the area highlands felt more like home. I would have to say Tracy, Courtney and Macy are amazing at what they do. When I was being showed the apartment by Tracy she immediately made us feel welcomed. Not pushed to do something, she made our decision for us. Thank you for welcoming us in the community.

ever since it was bought by another company the property is not taken care of, maintenance is non existent ,garbage all over ,sinage broken not worth the money it is sad Viera would allow such an eye sore

I can’t thank Stacy, Tracy, Ricardo and the ENTIRE Highlands Viera West Family enough! I say family because that’s exactly how you feel when you stay here. The complex is upgraded, quiet, clean, safe & family oriented. I stayed here 2 years & would wholeheartedly stay here should I get assigned to the Viera again. It is extremely bittersweet to leave. THANK YOU to each member of the entire staff. There are so many things to go within walking distance. I had a 2BR w/Loft on the 3rd floor & absolutely loved it. You will NOT regret picking Highlands Viera West. What are you waiting for...this is your new home!??
I moved in over a year ago then my family and I bought a place. My experience was wonderful though. They all are so nice and friendly. It’s next to the Avenue so you could walk there. Very convenient. Great school district also. But the staff were extremely nice and polite. Loved living there . Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a apartment to rent. I had the 3 rd floor with the loft it’s like a 3 bedroom. Had a movie theater and ping pong table up there. Neighbors were so great and friendly. The pool area is great also and loved grilling out on the weekends.
Have lived here for the last two years and intend to renew my lease again when it is up. The apartments are very spacious with all the conveniences expected of a luxury apartment available. The premises are well maintained and whenever there is an issue inside the apartment, of the less than half dozen minor issues since living here, all were responded to and resolved within two days. Avenues Shoppes and recreation park are walking distance, with Publix, Walmarts, and Target a few minutes driving distance. For those, like me, that want the simple, but luxury living without home ownership, this is an ideal place to live.
Used to be great... Going down hill. It's expected that rates will increase each year but I've lived in apartments my whole life and NEVER have I seen prices escalate so quickly as they do here. And as another reviewer mentioned, maintenance has totally bit the dust. Property is always dirty and now it seems it's ok to line your windows and doors with foil so that as you drive by certain buildings, it's as if you are in the projects, not in a $1500 a month apartment. Unacceptable. Looking to break lease.
Loved this place when we first moved in and now the Management cannot even tell us what are Rent payment will be when we renew in 30 days!!!!! Maintenace used to be good but now only excuses on why things do not get done. Feel like we have no rights even when we pay this very high Rent. We will probably have to move if the rent goes any higher. Over $1400 for a One Bedroom Apartment is ridiculous. No utilities are included so we are paying for all of them and the rental insurance as well. So our total for the month is about $1600 for a One Bedroom Apartment. What has happened to cause rents to go so extremely high?

This Highlands Viera West Apartment complex is far and away the absolute best apartment we ever lived in. Gorgeous Grounds, Pool and Gym. Maintenance is personal, fast and professional. The Office Staff goes out of their way to please their residents. Also, we live near a wonderful Avenue of the Vieras Outside Mall which has all stores and restaurants anyone would ever need. Security is superb too.

My family and I love living here. First of all, the management and maintenance team are amazing. They keep the entire community in top notch condition. This family friendly community is also pet friendly as well! This is luxury living at its finest. Amenities include a resort style swimming pool with outdoor kitchen, a 24 hour fitness center, and clubhouse that offers a pool table, entertainment center and a bar for entertaining. Along with all of the residential perks, The Highlands Viera West is within walking distance of dozens of retail stores and restaurants at The Avenue! It's also only a few minutes from the highway, which means it's only 20 minutes to the beach and 45 minutes to Orlando. This is the place in town to call home!
This is luxury apartment living at its best! I've been a resident at Highlands Viera West for nearly 2 years and can honestly say it's been a wonderful experience. It's a quiet and safe gated apartment community. The management and maintenance staff continuously go above and beyond to keep the community in top notch shape. It's like living at a resort! Amenities include a gorgeous swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, 24 hour fitness center, and a business office with computers and free wifi! For those that enjoy entertaining, the clubhouse features a big screen TV, pool table and bar. Location is also a big deal. This community is next to the Avenue at Viera, which means it's within walking distance of lots of great restaurants and stores! It's also minutes from Interstate 95, which means a 20 minute drive to the beach and 40 minutes to Orlando! My family and I love it here and so will yours.
