Property Ratings at Highpoint at Cypresswood
Highpoint at Cypresswood has been the worst apartment living experience I have had. I have had nothing but issues since moving in February. From the office gaslighting me regarding a plumbing issue that has taken two weeks to fix, to the bug problem they seem to always have, it is a never-ending headache living here. I do not feel safe living here as a single woman.
Property Manager at Highpoint at Cypresswood, Responded To This Review
Our goal is always to deliver a seamless living experience for our residents, and we are disappointed that our responsiveness has not met your expectations for service. Will you allow us to assist you with updates on your plumbing needs and arrange for additional pest control services? Please reach out to manager.highpoint@morgangroup.com to discuss these and any additional ways we can improve your peace of mind.
Today is the 4th time I have had to report Luke warm air conditioning in 6 weeks. When it’s “fixed”, the temp is where it should be, regardless of the heat outside being over 100. But it now has been 4 times that I have had to report this issue… can’t these guys get this right?? Makes me regret signing a new lease!!! The emergency number doesn’t apply after office hours apparently, as no one responded at all last night, and sleeping was really fun with an apt over 80!! Management has never contacted me about this, so I will take matters into my own hands and contact corporate.
Property Manager at Highpoint at Cypresswood, Responded To This Review
We are disappointed that our efforts to address your AC concerns have not met your expectations, and we remain eager to resolve this for you and restore your comfort. Please get in touch at manager.highpoint@morgangroup.com for us to assist you. Thank you.
The apartment itself is nice, the maintenance crew has always been prompt to respond. The apartment itself is spacious and nice. The amenities compared to comparable apartments are mediocre honestly. The main issue is the drug problem. Hallways and Elevators consistently smell like skunky weed. The smell even creeps in the apartments themselves. Living with a child I approached management about the issue of coming home to an apartment constantly smelling of weed. The response was this was a resident issue that needed to be handled by the resident and authorities. The complex has both a drug policy in place and a non smoking policy in place but their stance is this is an issue for the resident to address. I would not recommend this complex as it is on the decline. The part of town as a whole is on the decline. I would look elsewhere for the amount you are going to spend here.
I’ve been at the Highpoint for almost 3 months and it’s pretty good. I love it definitely looking forward to possibly renewing my lease.
Highpoint is a great community to live in management is super nice helpful, Im happy I decided to move here.
Very wonderful place to stay. Office staff is amazing, everyone is super nice. I absolutely love staying here.
I’ve lived here for 3 years, and I can definitely say that since the complex came under new management several months ago, things have gotten SO much better. The manager, staff, and maintenance employees treat residents like family. The security upgrades, like improved lighting, that were promised by the old management a year and a half ago are finally coming to fruition due to the diligence of GreyStar’s team. A year ago, I might have given this complex 3 stars, but now I would definitely give it 5!
Great staff and clean, well maintained grounds. Property feels safe and units are updated and modern. Great amenities and floor plans for the price.
I love the community. Neighbors are friendly, amenities are nice, staff are always in when you need them and Im in love with my layout
Overall the place is nice ,but the security service is not the best.
I love my home, I have been here for four years now. I plan to be here for a long time god willing. The staff here are my family...
Facility feels like home, feel safe, personnels dedication to cleanliness is admirable. Never been a problem with any maintenance issues. All office personnel handles themselves in a very professional and courteous manner.
Location is excellent, you have easy access to many different stores, restaurants, the mall, and more. Apartment complex is well kept, units are modern and sleek. Very pet friendly. Only real issue is visitor parking, spaces are limited and towing is relentless so guests have to be careful.
Great office personnel, quite community, clean property, maintenance is very sufficient ands neighbors are great! I also appreciate that there are restaurants, grocery stores, and parks that are accessible to walk/ or drive to!
I love living here. It feels like HOME. I love the environment created by management, and I love the people that lives here.
Overall a great place to call home. Good location, nice neighbors, etc. Very thin walls, gate is inoperable on a regular basis, and nowhere for kids to play outside. Very pet friendly. Very luxurious living, locally.
where do I begin? Let’s start with the break ins and go to the worst and #1reason NOT to rent here The break ins! The lack of security is insane! I watched the wing stop in the shopping center get robbed at gun point, the capital one bank and they up and moved Bc of the security The buildings are literally made of paper Mâché! You can hear a dog walk in the above unit. People let their pets urine on the elevators and common areas without cleaning up! The management is AWFUL!! Uneducated and really tryna to keep your depot lol I lived here from the start 2015-2019 and it’s gotten worse ever year since I cleaned my apartment and moved out and they Charged a clean fee then charged a paint fee when I unit was immaculent ... don’t be fooled ps I got my deposit back
I lived there for exactly one year. About a month before my lease was up I had my car broken into. After talking to neighbors who had videos of the parking lot and speaking to authorities we found out about 30-40 cars were broken into. Almost every single car on where I parked was broken into. Everyone was outside cleaning glass debris. Guess what management did! NOTHING. They said cameras or certain measures would only give us a sense of security but not actual security. Also, they tried to brush it off and after speaking to them that day we found out through other neighbors that the same thing (to a lesser extent) had happened about three weeks prior. Management told no one, did nothing, and obviously that allowed whoever was doing it to know they’d be able to get away with it.
The apartments are nice. HOWEVER! That means nothing when the place isn't secure. All four of my wheels were stolen from my car and another car this past weekend. I understand that crime is everywhere but Highpoint isn't doing much besides "increasing security" (which I have yet to see) to keep residents and their belongings safe. There was an apartment break-in just yesterday during broad day light! It is absolutely sickening to pay over a thousand dollars a month to sit in my apartment at night wondering if my vehicle is being vandalized. Residents should NOT have to pay extra money every month for a garage (which are all assigned out by the way) to ensure that they won't come outside to their vehicle with the windows busted out or NO TIRES! When I was looking for the Regional/Corporate contact to express my concerns to, the "assistant manager" told me she couldn't tell me who owned the place. PUBLIC INFORMATION, might I add. A joke right? BAD BUSINESS is what it is!!! I wish I had never signed a lease here and I will NOT be renewing. If you are reading this and still live here, I encourage you to get wheel locks if you don't already have them. It could've been and can happen to anyone!
I have lived here for 2 years and for the money its horrible. They do not take care of the property (dirty hallways, weeds all in the grass, dirty elevators). No security, there is constant break ins. They say there is 24hr security but there is not. I haven't never seen an exterminator in the 2 years I have been there. The office staff is very unfriendly and rude. If your AC goes out it takes about a week to fix and they do not do anything to accommodate you. All of these positive reviews are a lie they are all the same across all of the rental sites sooo its the office staff filling out the positive reviews. No long time tenants all move out after a year or 6 months. Constant moving trucks every week. Parking. NO PARKING FOR ANYONE if you want your GF/BF to visit you have to grab one of the 12 visitors spots, if not you have to park out in the front on the street where cars get broken in to on a regular basis. They have a tow truck scam going on the tow trucks are out there every night towing vehicles. Thats prob why they only have 12 spots...Most of the reviews I have read are about people getting towed. The office staff is never the same, the only one is the Manager which is never there. The phones have been down since the hurricane so you can not let anyone in or out. I can not wait to leave this place. They have increase the rent 25% because of the hurricane. If you go out to look at this place take the elevator to another floor so you can see how dirty this place is.
WOW! What can I say ! What a GREAT staff! !!!John is by far the kindest gentlemen I have met in a very very long time. He went above and beyond. Evan, Tammy and Courtney were extremely helpful and accommodating. Great team work!!!! Thank you all for your SINCERITY. Tammy
Great oasis outside of the craziness of the downtown Houston traffic, which is but a short 20 min drive away. Luxury finishes, gym with state of the art equipment and a lap pool to relax in are among the amenities that await in the oasis.
Its said to be luxury living but the elevators that are suppose to take you to your floor are always out of order, building alarms go off late into the night and you have to walk outside until the firefighters show up. There is a lack of management skills. It is a beautiful complex with a whole lot of potential. My lease is up this December and I will be moving out.
I had moved into my elderly parents home in order to support my father who became blind at age 80. I lived with them for five years, and it was a beautiful time, and a time of support because I was so proud how my dad managed his new handicap. My mother required support, as well. Finally, I felt it was time to move on, but I wanted a brand new apartment building. In my part-time job, a person came in who spoke of working in town building a new complex. This was two years into my parents stay. I sought this apartment at its completion when I was ready to move on. I was the first resident and have recently renewed. This complex, Highpoint at Cypresswood, has an excellent gym, lovely apartment, superb amenities, and an ideal location for my commute. I helped my parents, now I am helped with such a terrific apartment.
My wife and I love living here we work in Cypress and Greenspoint. Our dog loves it here the apartment is very pet friendly. The staff is always very welcoming and always gets our request completed in a timely manner.
I loved this place, I moved from Atlanta where I stayed at Marquee 2200. I liked Marquee 2200 better hobestly, but this place has almost the same amenities except a few. I am member of YMCA choice for 10 years and visited almost each and every gym in a montgomery alabama tri county area. I loved the gym, phinomuna, what it us laking is towel service, sauna, bath area. There is a walking track and picnic area at Mandolin Park at walking distance. They have a club house open 6am till 10 pm that has single serving starbucks cofee, I got adict..after I move here, in addition to sweet tea. Location is very good, you can walk to arby's, sonic, starbucks, as they are just right there at back so you don't need to cross the road or anything, at the same time road noise is a drawback you have to deal with. Friendly staff especially John, I love him, is the best in customer service. This is my 1st experience in apartment living since I stayed in Atlanta for less than 3 weeks and I am here for almost a year. It is a clean place, only one compaint, they don't strict in their policies, so people put out their garbage at the door whenever and whatever and some irtesponsiiblr resident don't clean after their pets. I put my next review after I am out in 2 months as my I am lay off and my wife works at uptown and it is too far and have to pay 6 tolls everyday for commute in addition to hustle with the traffic.
We have lived in the apartment for just under three months, now. The apartments include many upgraded and modern features. However, being a newly built community, there are of course complications. Spiders galore! No matter what we do they keep showing up. This is standard in new community because of the displacement of so many different insects. The service team is quick to respond to any maintenance requests. The apartments are overrated for the price. I say this because they are built with the cheapest materials and products. We love our granite counters and walk in shower but that is about it. The one bedroom layouts are not ideal for regular size furniture sets. We selected the mid size apartment for 1104.00 per month and there is no space for dining so we squeezed a small desk in next to our island in kitchen. We were shown an apartmentwith a yard and i was sold but when moved into our apartment there was no yard. Be sure to ask the right questionsand know exactly what you are getting because we were assigned an apartment and were not given the option to select location. Also, the pool requires a certified pool cleaner on property but it is filthy and has green and black slime. The office staff has been notified by several residents but does nothing but continue to shock pool water instead of deep cleaning. If this is not handled properly soon we will need to get state health department involved because this could cause health issues in easily affected residents. The community is quiet for the most part but again VERY over priced for what you get. It would be nice if they included complimentary concierge services for what they charge with just basic amenities.
This is the worst place I have ever lived! First, I lived here a year and my ledger has yet to be correct. Second, the property management is unprofessional and will not assist you, unless they are trying to charge you a fee for a violation that you didn't commit. I've had to contact the regional manager and his boss to correct the infractions placed against me for their system errors.
Highpoint at Cypresswood is a great apartment complex. Great amenities. The staff is so nice and they remember your name. The apartment is so well designed and the ugraded features are surely worth the cost. If you are in the Houston area you should definitely come by and take a tour. You will not regret the decision.
