Adjacent to Downtown Columbus, the city’s Uptown District is a historic hub featuring the best of bars, restaurants, theatres, and riverfront parks. Situated along the Scioto River, Columbus’s Uptown District is home to Bicentennial Park, known for the Scioto Mile Fountain, an amphitheater, and Milestone 229, a glass-enclosed restaurant overlooking the fountains. Uptown District also features the Cultural Arts Center, the Ohio Statehouse, and the Columbus Commons, a green space offering seasonal events, cafes, gardens, and more.
Aside from the beautiful parks and historic architecture, residents love catching a live performance at both the Ohio Theatre and Palace Theatre, ornate local treasures. The small businesses in this community are thriving, ranging from breweries and bars to local art galleries and eclectic restaurants. Check out Elevator Brewery and Draught House or Pins Mechanical Co. for great eats and cold drinks.

Property Ratings at Highpoint on Columbus Commons
Very cheap construction. Just on the day I moved in: the front door didn't lock properly, the smoke detectors kept going off, the toilet didn't flush, the shower was clogged and leaking, the washer left clothes dripping wet, and a handful of lightbulbs needed to be replaced. I'm also right below the building's AC units so my apartment is always rattling. But even worse than that are the constant events at the Columbus Commons. They can have concerts at any time during the day, both on weekdays and weekends. Including from 11am to 11pm on multiple weekdays just in one week! They constantly blast weird music, even when no one is there, and have no respect for people living downtown. I've barely been able to enjoy a nice evening in my own home since moving here. Working from home has been horrible. You cannot rely on this apartment and have to live by their schedule. It seems like there's always something disruptive going on. I highly do not recommend moving here.
Property Manager at Highpoint on Columbus Commons, Responded To This Review
Hello and thank you for the feedback. Our location is unique, being on the Columbus Commons, some love the access to food trucks and entertainment but we understand that may not be for everyone. As the colder months roll in, the events will slow down and so will the AC usage! We respond to all work orders with 24 hours, so please don't hesitate to enter your requests for any maintenance help. We love to hear from our residents and encourage you to reach out to us directly with any additional questions or concerns. Thanks again, EM
The building is poorly constructed and managed. The hallways smell like garbage most of the time, the stairways always smell like dog pee, half of the residents and some of the staff do not wear masks and no one enforces it. The fire alarm goes off a few times a month in the building. There are MUCH better options elsewhere in Columbus.

Highpoint is an excellent apartment community. The location is unbeatable. As a resident you have access to concerts, events, the river and festivals that occur in downtown columbus all within walking distance. Additionally, the bars in the Arena District and Short North Restaurant are about 1-2 miles away. You can ride the C-Bus for free to get there if you aren't in the mood for a long walk. The actual apartments are very spacious, updated, and have underground parking. Kitchen and bathrooms are large as well. As a young woman, I have never felt unsafe here. All access is monitored and a security guard is on site. There is a rec room available for reservation for your own events. The only negative is there is obvious patch up work done in the apartments from a maintenance perspective and the apartment building is not accommodating for moving in or bringing home groceries. Also there is no visitor parking except for free parking meters on Sundays. So many residents and guests have been towed!
