Property Ratings at Highview and Castle Manor
I have been living in Highview/Castle Manor since 2003 which should tell you something about how much I love living here. The staff is super friendly and the neighborhood is so convenient to all the grocery stores, department stores and restaurants. There is a laundry mat on premises as well a gym. They are pet friendly building and all utilities are included with the rent. These buildings share a large yard and a large courtyard with gas grills. The view from these apartments are amazing because the overlook the city, no need to look for a great location for fourth of July. There are plenty of parks within walking distance and the green and yellow line metro is accessible north or south of 13th street. Other major neighborhoods are in walking distance as well like Adams Morgan, U Street, Columbia Heights, Midcity, Downtown and Petworth to name a few. Parking can be tricky but the school next door allows after school hours parking and on the weekends. Of course there are plenty of cabs to be hailed on 14th street. Reagan National Airport is very convenient by cab, car or metro.
I found Highview online through Apartments.com and contacted them to inquire about availability. The office staff was very friendly and it turned out there was a unit that fit my budget and move-in timeframe up for grabs. I went and toured the location, saw the apartment, submitted my application, and voila! I am not a future resident of Highview.
