Property Ratings at Hill Crest
I lived in Hillcrest for my last two terms at Drexel. That being said, you are able to live for 7 months or a year depending on the unit. As for the area, it is ideal if you are a Westphal student as the URBN Center is only a 4-minute walk away. Similarly, it is only a 4-minute walk from the MFL. It is located in front of freshman quad, making it a relatively safer off-campus housing option as it is actually on-campus. Despite frat row being close, the area is calm. I lived in a studio and it was spacious. A queen bed can definitely fit along with a couch. The sliding-door closet is also spacious, you can fit two cabinets in it. It lacks kitchen counter space but it does the job. The doors aren't very secure and there is little insulation. However, maintenance is kind and responsive. I would recommend this property!
I lived there for a term. It's a typical college student apartment-nothing fancy but man it was spacious! Living room, bathroom, bed rooms, closets, you name it. I can't stress enough how AWESOME this location is. It's close to Starbucks, chipotle, 7/11, old nelson's etc. Parking is relatively easy and it's a 2 min walk from Frankfort/ Market. This is the place to BE! Some of the apts have balconies that can't be accessed from the outside. View is meh, but it's nice to have if you need a smoke break. There is coin laundry in the basement, but you have to walk outside and 1/2 of the washers and dryers are always broken (there are only 2 of each). The only cons are that the doors aren't very secure, and the building has no insulation whatsoever. It's almost always pretty quiet, there was only 3 or 4 loud annoying parties while I lived there. Would definitely recommend!
