Hillendale Gate Apartments

I've lived here over 10yrs. One thing I can say is whenever there is a problem requiring maintenance, they are prompt and very efficient and professional.

I really don't have a problem with my apartment they come in whenever I call for something I been here going on seven years it is quite where I am at no problem here. You work with them they work with you .

They have a serious rodent problem here …even with a cat, I still get them periodically …w/o a cat , it’s way worse

I've been living in Hillendale Gates Apartment 15 years.(November 30, 2022) It has been a nightmare from hell. Different neighbors a few nextdoor were loud. Maintenance are not all that good. There's no security for your laundry. The door is left unlocked. My laundry was stolen. I reported to the Land Lord. ( Henderson and Webb) Nothing wasn't done about it. I've had a bad experience and I recommend not to choose this apartment complex. There are other locations that might not be as bad, but I'm hoping they're good ones than other locations. I choose having my own House ??? (home)than having maintenance who have access to my apartment who you don't trust or know personally.

These apartments put you in mind of the projects with the dark windows. The only plus is the location. The leasing office does not care about their tenant’s. Why is the rent so high when there aren’t any amenities ? No wash and dryer hook up, dish washer, garbage disposal nothing. My mom needed a new refrigerator For months. Each time maintenance came they would half way fix it, but let her owe something on the rent they would know how to reach out. The weed smoke is treacherous like who smokes in their home ? Trifling. Do not move here these are by far the worse apartments to live. Maintenance nor leasing does what they are supposed to. Please don’t waste your money here.

You have to know what your getting when you look at the price. Let’s start off with the area, it’s clean, safe and there are a lot of great places to eat in the area. This is my first time living on my own, I’m new to the area, from Virginia and I’m used to a certain type of an apartment. So my expectations might be a little out of reach, hence i brought up the price. That being said, it’s only been a month since I’ve been here and there were a few problems I ran into and I have not been here long enough for these problems. My house was not equip for cable… the cable is not where you think the cable should be, it took 2 weeks for comcast to make my apartment internet ready. They had to punch a hole from the basement too my apartment where the furnace is and run the wire from there. I’m going to assume that is how the mouse had gotten into my apartment. I’m on the second floor so I wasn’t so sure how the mouse got into my apartment in the first place. The exterminator had come and They patched the hole up and I’m going to assume they made my house mouse free. Although, there was miscommunication on there end with what exactly they did to exterminate the problem. Secondly, every time i turned on my heat, it would blow cold air… maintenance came and fixed the problem and also brought me a portable heater in the mean time. Thirdly, I’m going to assume due too all of the rain we been having the last few days is why I saw a huge roach in my bathroom. My tub nor does my sink have a stopper to prevent this, this is still a problem they have yet to fix so now i have to put a bowl over the brains when I’m not home. Finally, every time I go into my kitchen i smell hints of gas. According to maintenance i don’t have a gas stove it’s electric so They’re assuming it’s impossible for me to be smelling gas… ok I’ll let them have that…. In conclusion, i really like my apartment outside of the early hiccups it’s really nice it’s clean and whenever I have a problem resident services is always there to attend to my needs.

Whenever I have a problem in my apt they are very prompt once you put in a request. Good example just a week or so my fridge was low on freon and had to throw away. Most of my food. Well they brought in a new fridge and paid for my groceries that had gone bad.

I have consistently run into problems with my apartment. Starting with the continuous overflowing of my toilet, the garbage disposal not functioning properly, mice and the overflow of the kitchen sink overnight. The price of the apartment is good but the issues outweigh the cost.

I did an online request for my disposal in my kitchen and I didn't have to wait long for them to come out and repair the disposal. The maintenance man was prompt and professional and very polite. They get an A+ in my book.

Pro’s: Private entrance and lower level Cons: Mice and drain flies. Recently requested for holes to be filled and exterminator to come. Apparently, he came but I don’t have a clue what was done since I was at work and I’m still seeing mice. Also, drain flies issue has been going on the ENTIRE time. Also, along with half done jobs. Only been here just about three months and I’m completely disgusted with issues NOT being resolved. I’ve sent emails with my concerns and no response. There should be better service for the amount of money given every month.

I chose this apartment because my aunt lives here. Everytime I stayed I never had issues. I guess every apartment is different. My apartment is filled with little critters so I don’t suggest getting a lower level. It stays cool in the summer time though !

Just moved into the apartment about 2 months ago and I’m impressed with the way the maintenance responded to my call and request. They were prompt and replaced my complaints with new one’s. I just hope they keep it up.Love the parking lot too.

One of the things I do appreciate is maintenance. When ever I call in a concern they come promptly. Never have I called the dispatchers and had a problem. The people who answer the phone are always helpful and polite. I have lived in other apartments and trust they can be rude. I just called for maintenance to check my utility closet because of a noise with the furnace. Maintenance came within a hour and checked it out. Thank you sir and he had his mask on. Yup??

I guess I can't complain really other than the loud neighbors downstairs where I live. The maintenance come in a timely fashion, and i've been here for 4 years now. Good costs for apartments.

I was searching for an apartment for my disabled granddaughter and almost signed the lease. I asked to tour the actual unit 6682 Collinsdale before signing the lease and was told by a leasing agent that would not be allowed. I said that's like purchasing a car never having driven it. I stated I am not willing to commit to a 12 mth lease on an apartment sight unseen. She then lied by stating that is company policy. I have several relatives and friends who are current residents in other HW communities and they toured their units beforehand. I asked repeatedly to speak to William/ property mgr and was told that he doesnt speak to residents. I am now of the belief that the $50.00 application fee which I was charged was a small fee for the bullet I dodged. I also advised her of my granddaughter's fragile lungs and need to know if the prior resident was a smoker and if the carpet was to be replaced and she had no knowledge. I was very disappointed bec the apartment is approximately four blocks from her father's home. Henderson Webb simply lost an exemplary resident. I have rented numerous apartments and never experienced this policy. I am a landlord as well.

Maintenance is very prompt. Leasing office sometimes not helpful. Complex is safe, quiet and enough parking space. Minor renovations needed given the buildings are old. AC and heater are very noisy because of the old system in place. Mice problem is a pain but locked all the holes around to reduce that problem. Overall experience is over the past two years has been fairly good.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Mice all over place. They crawl through the Vents. The management is absolutely ridiculous. Took someone 1 month to fullfill my maintenance request. In order to put in a request you have have to a call a customer service number where you wilk be on hold for 30 minutes all the way to 2 hours. They are no help. They lie and say they are sending someone to help and only to sit and wait for no one to show up. Please save yourself. This place show be quarantined!

Hillendale Gate is an okay place to live. I mean the rent is affordable and water is included which is a big plus for me!.. However, you get what you pay for. The walls are really thin so you can smell and hear everything that's going on in the building. Winter time is the worst on this property. it is really hard trying to find parking when there is a snow storm and it takes maintenance forever to clean the walk ways. I actually fell and broke my ankle trying to get out of my apartment during the big snow storm this past year. It was not a pretty sight. The customer service team are really unpleasant to deal with. They are not nice at all. I asked for one of the customer service reps for their name and they hung up on me numerous times. So I mean if I had enough money I would leave and move some where a little more friendlier but if you are looking for affordability then this is it. Beware you get what you pay for. I will also say that even though my time here has not been the most pleasant, I do think that this property has one of the best balcony views in the area. I love sitting out on my balcony in the evening. The balcony is big and spacious and it is usually a very quiet area for the most part. So I would say is you are looking for a good price and don't mind bad customer service and thin walls this is a decent place to live for a year or two. I do not recommend for a family, but for college students and room mates I think this property will do the job

Convenient Baltimore County apartment complex close to retail and grocery locations. Affordable rentals for one and two bedroom garden apartments. Multiple public transportation lines within walking distance. All downtown Baltimore attractions within 30 minute commute. Clean laundry facilities available.

Great apartment close to transportation and shopping.
