Hilliard Green is a commercial hub and residential area located about 12 miles away from Downtown Columbus. The neighborhood has several shopping plazas with restaurants, big-box stores, and grocers along Hilliard Rome Road. There is a small park in the center of Hillard Green, and several green spaces like Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park and Heritage Golf Club are near the area as well. The southern end of Hilliard Green is filled with business parks while other parts of the neighborhood have rentals for every budget. Hilliard Green mainly has apartments for rent, but there are a few houses available as well. The neighborhood has access to Interstate 70 and 270, making it a great option for commuters looking for more affordable options while still being close to plenty of amenities and Downtown Columbus.

Property Ratings at Hilliard Park Apartments
The apartment itself is pricey for no good reason, but the absolute worst part is the parking, for the size of the complex theres what feels like 20 visitor spaces so just assume you can't have people over in the evenings. We have 4 adults in the house with each having a car, but you get 2 assigned spaces regardless, they were baffled when we stated this. For a brief period they cracked down on people parking in a visitors space for over 24 hours, they did this by checking the spots routinely. God help you if you parked in the same space. I got my car towed after a day because I had been sick and couldn't drive. I work late, finding a visitors spot is impossible. When I brought this up to the leasing off they said yup thats part of our plan maybe. I referenced a large grass area they could utilize and I was told no! That was to be renovated into a "splash pad" and they needed more amenities to keep up with the area. The only amenities I care about currently is parking. If you drive around the complex on a weekend evening you'll find people parking in all sorts of weird spots, one of the apartments frequently has a pickup truck just parked in the grass? But my car gets towed for parking in a visitors space a few hours too long.
I’ve been requesting a lot of maintenance for the last month and I have water leak and I also have a heat problem and every time I request maintenance takes them forever to come and when they come, they don’t take care of the issue. So to me I don’t recommended
I would recommend this apartment community, Shannon is amazing and works hard with her crew to keep everything safe and well managed.
We’ve been living here for soon to be 7 years. Lots of management changes in that time frame and we’ve noticed many property changes as well. The property was immaculate when we first moved in, management did regular checks to make sure blinds were neat and not broken, patios/front doorways were free of clutter, and landscaping was never an issue. Monthly news letters went out, holiday door decorating contests took place, community yard sales were organized in the summer, trick or treating organized for young children (there has always been a large amount of children here), and incentives offered at renewal. Those types of things made up for higher rent and lack of pool/fitness area. Many of these areas are no longer addressed. We have never had any issues with maintenance requests being filled in a timely manner and they really do try to stay on top of keeping the common areas clean. There have been some upgrades exteriorly! Part of the complex was repaved this spring, the basketball court was resurfaced, and the car wash and gazebo areas repainted.
Extremely small townhouse. Living Room and kitchen, no dining area. Poor construction and cheap cabinets. Floors are uneven and creak. Sketchy characters in the park area. Disingenous sales tactics. "I can't quote price without you coming here because the prices change daily. First question - how much are you looking to spend? Used Car Sales Techniques. To top it off the leasing agent was not wearing a mask. I ask "have you been vaccinated?" and she says "I don't want to answer that question but I will put on a mask if you want". REALLY. I was not nice before I left.

I absolutely love the space at Hilliard Park. The 2 bedroom townhome with garage is perfect. The car wash is very convenient. The employees are friendly!

Hello and thank you for the 5 star review! At Hilliard Park we take a lot of pride in our community and are happy you have made our community your home!
Amenities are lacking compared to new units. Pricing has gone up by 40% in one year when salaries and pay haven't even matched this market rate. How on earth are homes now cheaper than renting in one year when everything is currently stupid over priced. They try to lock you into a lease agreement so they can then get you to pay an extra month of rent on top of it. This company is insane and is charging rates of that of complete new build apartments. This is a mediocre property at best and the amenities don't even compare to that of newer built properties. Look elsewhere as I know we will likely begin the search again.

This location has been wonderful. The size and condition of the apartments is great, and while it is a little pricey, the space and setup more than makes up for it.
I would highly recommend friends and family. It is a lovely community.
We love our new home. Staff and maintenance has been professional and helpful.
The parking definitely needs to be addressed. There are cars parked where they don't belong all the time. Also, I have placed several noise complaints.
Increasing teenage and kids without supervision presence is a concern. Also, the fact that we have to pay for carpet cleaning upon moving is ridiculous. And pay per nail hole in the wall? Those are the general maintainence things that should have to be done regardless when someone moves
All situations from maintenance to billing and other few issues are all dealt with quickly and at our convenience.
The office staff is ALWAYS amazing. We have a quiet and beautiful community to call home.

The rent amount was a lot considering there are no amenities. There's no club house, gym, pool, etc. The basketball court was right by the mail and trash, so you constantly had to worry about kids running out after a ball.
So far I've only seen the model townhouse but my interaction with Ruben has been great, professional, courteous, funny, and helpful.

The area is safe and quiet and kid friendly. I see young and teenage kids in the common areas gathering. Only thing missing is a swimming pool ??.

Thank you for sharing your feedback-- we think the area is pretty great too! Even though we do not have a pool on-site, Hilliard City has a wonderful one that gives discounts to residents. Please contact us at the office for more info. As always, if there is anything we can do to make your experience even better, please don't hesitate to reach out.
I really wanted a place with an attached garage. But was having a hard time finding a place for less than $1700. Having that attached garage makes me feel safer, especially with having a child to get in and out of the car. I like how there are large trees surrounding the community to help it feel more secluded.
Property Manager at Hilliard Park Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing-- we are very happy you found us too! Also, we do have to agree, one of the best parts about our community is the mature trees and open grass space among the busy city. As always, if there is anything we can assist with please don't hesitate to reach out.
Rent has risen substantially since my initial lease. Currently, the rate is close to what brand new facilities are charging, but the interiors have not been updated since 1999.

Kids can be loud in the summer and kick their soccer balls onto the siding of the apartment. No pool available.

I would not recommend this apartment complex, because the move out experience has been off for for my family. To receive a bill for two months Water bill. And to be told it was because we were paying two months in arrears which doesn?t make sense because we pay the water bill for every month that we lived at the apartment. Also the water bill seemed high as a monthly fee. Promises made when we first moved in but Were never kept. And it?s kind of silly to have a car wash that most of the residents don?t use. The space with a carwash was could?ve been better use for our community pool that could be used throughout the summer.
Property Manager at Hilliard Park Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for letting me know about your concerns. I never want a resident to have a negative move out experience and I'd like to make this right. As for your water bill, everyone is a month behind because the bills are based on individual consumption. When you moved in the first month, you did not receive a water bill to account for this. I am happy to discuss this in further detail! Please reach out to me directly at Katie.Feldstein@SteadfastLiving.com or the office line 614-777-9700. Thank you for letting us know about your concerns, by sharing your feedback it helps us to improve our services. I hope to speak with you soon.
Current management has handled interactions in a positive manner. The previous manager did not and left me feeling uncomfortable with living here. It takes time to get beyond the significantly negative experiences. Fortunately, the current management and maintenance team seems professional, friendly, and quite competent.

I would love to speak with you further, if you wouldn't mind contacting me directly. My email is Katie.Feldstein@SteadfastLiving.com and the office line is 614-777-9700. Thanks again for sharing your feedback!
Its quite and friendly. The space is large for the price and its in a wonderful location.
The walls are thin and we can hear our upstairs neighbors stomping in the apartment and up and down the stairs outside
The garbage situation is horrendous, no recycling, the street lights have been broken for years and parking is a war every evening. This is a deteriorating complex that overcharges for what you get. Very poorly maintained and dirty.
Property Manager at Hilliard Park Apartments, Responded To This Review
Hello, Thank you for giving us your feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve our community. With our street lights, we are very excited to say that they are being repaired tomorrow. We also understand that parking is a little tight at Hilliard Park, which is why we assigned every resident two parking spaces. We always want to ensure that residents have a spot before anyone else. Again, thank you for your feedback on Hilliard Park. We would love to discuss with you further on how we can make your stay with us more enjoyable. Please come into the office or give us a call at 614-777-9700.
Was told we had TWO parking places and these were even pointed out at the unit almost ten months ago. PNow have been here almost a year and our neighbors moved who had two cars and a motor cycle Current person is now parking in our spaces and will not move or compile. Says that the spaces “Are MINE”. PERIOD. Call office and get no response or help. Last night now major concern and worry with damaging property from “someone”. Previously “someone” turned on bright lights into bedroom and blasted horn at 6:30 am Extremely dark at night. They are not replacing any street lights that are out. Unless a unit puts on a light there is deep solid darkness. Was out walking from trash when person darted out from next to a Bldg. at me. . There are no lights on the main driveway much less on the sides access ways or back area etc. Had problem with hardwired smoke alarm going off. Reported and told maybe fix in a 2 weeks to a month. Have you ever tried to live or sleep with the constant high noise? Had to go out and buy a ladder so we could sleep.
Property Manager at Hilliard Park Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your feedback on Hilliard Park. We are always looking for new ways to improve. Regarding some of the exterior lights on the community, we do have a contractor coming to the property next week to repair these. We are sending out letters to residents this week as we are very excited to have them fixed! We know that parking can sometimes be an issue so, if you are having other residents' in the community parking in your spots please call the front office at 614-777-9700. As a courtesy, we do offer a tow company to come and tow cars parked in residents spots. Again, thank you for taking the time to review our community and letting us know what we can work on. We hope to improve your experience at our community.
I've lived there about 8 years. My experience started out great! Within the last 3 years this place has really gone down. Seems like they let just anyone move in now. Drug dealers, sex offenders, domestic violence, etc. the standards have gone out the door. My car gets broken into about four times a year. Back door pick broke, the refused to fix it and told us to use only the safety bar. Police in the neighborhood every week. The office staff NEVER answers the phone, when you call and leave a message for maintenance services the office staff claims they never received a message. And if they do receive a message it took over a week just for maintenance to fix even the simplest things!!!! Pot holes have ruin our tires and they won't take responsibility for them. And worst of all, there is MOLD! They were spoken to about the mold and even shown pictures and they claim it's dust! Many other neighbors there have complained about the mold to them as well. I would never recommend this place to anyone! It's not worth the headache or your money. So many better apartments in Hilliard that are worth it. So glad we are out of there!!!

Don't move here if you want to have some place to park. You get 2 spots but if someone parks in them your screwed because there are only a few other spots. We just came home at 12:30am and someone is in our spot. We were told when we signed the lease that if someone was in our spot that we could have them towed, well no one will tow them and we've called the emergency number over and over for over and hour and no one returns calls which makes me think that if you have an emergency they don't respond either. So at this point we've lived here 2 weeks and we've had to kick several people out of spot. One day the neighbor who was parked there came screaming at my husband. We moved her so we would have someplace to park that wasn't a mile from our apartment. And all we've gotten was stress.

The new rent is very expensive compared to other complexes with more amenities.
The rent is too high and the late fees were ridiculously high. The trash is awful. I liked the homes themselves. The apartments and townhomes feel like a home.
Hilliard Park is a nice family-oriented diverse community.I would recommend to friends and family.
I have maintenance issues still from when I moved in. Kitchen Fawcett still needs a new one (should have been fixed before I moved in( The fan in hall bath, the glass in hall bathroom medicine cabinet needs replaced, the bathroom walls on the outside walls need re-painted ( I believe it was a water leek, and part of kitchen wall above sink needs re-painted, and want a new furnace filter
Lack of visitor parking is definitely a downside.
Clean; like doggy park, and car wash. People who visit can never find a space
If I could give a negative number of stars in this rating, I would. One star overall is too high for the despicable staff at Hilliard Park. Lived here for 3 years and never had any reason to contact the leasing office. I kept to myself and my neighbors were great. Safe place. Quiet. No issues. Preparing for move-out was my first time dealing with the staff and this is where the entire Hilliard Park experience went down hill. It took an overall, positive experience and turned it upside down to the point that I am posting negative online reviews. In my first conversation, I requested the carpet brand, shelf life, and company used - the manager refused to answer these questions and further, wasn't able to provide any explanation as to WHY she wouldn't provide these details. There are no legalities or company policies preventing the release of this information and the fact that she got so defensive over this information makes me feel like there is something shady going on. By the end of the conversation, I assumed I just caught her on a bad day because she was just flat out unreasonable. In my second conversation, I requested the paint brand and type. A very simple question. Information that is necessary in order to prime the walls before I move out, as outlined in the lease agreement. The leasing agent, while consulting with the manager, REFUSED TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS! This is where I lost my mind. What in the world is going on behind the scenes at Hilliard Park? Can't provide carpet information, can't provide paint information, can't provide any explanation whatsoever - what CAN they answer? I will not be surprised to receive a final account statement with charges for the most absurd things ever. I will, however, be prepared to dispute any bogus charges. Literally, the worst staff to ever exist. Rude. Unhelpful. Unfit to work in any customer service related field.
I love the location and peaceful area
I have recommended this complex to friends and coworkers!! The only issues I have are not having an on-site workout facility and the number of children running around without supervision.
Hilliard Park is a family oriented community. It's quiet, safe and a place you can raise children without worry.
