With its spectacular mountain views and numerous palm trees, Chino is a favorite city in San Bernardino County for good reason. The city is adjacent to Chino Hills State Park, a popular area in the Santa Ana Mountains foothills for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Chino is also home to Prado Regional Park, a popular park with a fishing lake, hiking and biking trails, campgrounds, a disc golf course, picnic areas, horseback riding, and a shooting range where shooting events were held during the 1984 Summer Olympics.
As a key city of the Inland Empire, Chino has a long history as a hub for agriculture, especially dairy farming. The city's slogan reflects its agricultural roots: Where Everything Grows. While it is much more suburban today, the city still retains some of its rural feel. The city is award-winning and is often used as a filming location. Downtown Chino hosts a variety of events, including a weekly farmers market.

Property Ratings at Hillsborough Village Senior Apartments 55+
My first week at Hillsborough, I was across the street at Albertson's, and a contract worker from Hillsborough said, "You live across the street, how can you live in that shoe box? You can hear everything." I could hear neighbors through the air vents, through the walls. My unit had no heat. The office sent over maintenance who said, it's an old system, we're on the boiler system. One day I went to the office to complain about the cold - there were three other tenants complaining about their cold units. If you are a female I do not suggest living on the first floor, as men do walk by at night and will look into your windows. I have a documented case, even though my blinds were closed, men would walk by at night and try to look it. Other female tenants mentioned some of the males were inappropriate. I would go weeks without sleep because the upstairs tenant slept during the day and was awake all night making all types of noises. Not sleeping at night put a terrible strain on my health. I mentioned it to the office, and was told no one was above m.e. Finally, after nine months, maintenance did discover that there was indeed someone in the unit above me, and in all fairness, they did ask her to be quiet. But my health had suffered severely from months of non sleep. During the summer I turned on the air conditioning for the first time, and soon there after noticed things crawling on my skin, going up my nose, resting on my eyelids. I went to the office, and the office manager knew immedialy what it was, she said, "dust mites'. In all fairness to management they did send out someone twice to steam clean the carpet. I won't go into detail here, but do your own research on dust mites. Horrific microscopic creatures nearly impossible to get rid of. They also wreak havoc on your health - consequently another health issue for me. Management knew my unit had dust mites before I moved in, and allowed me to move into that unit anyway. I expected a significant portion of my deposit to be returned and was disappointed. Management claimed they had to spend extra money to "sterilize" the bedroom carpet as there were footprints. That is an outright lie; management forgot that they steam cleaned the carpet for dust mites, and those footprints came right up. Do not expect your full deposit returned to you. I was scheduled an exit interview to discuss issues, and management never showed.
No reviews is just as bad as a good review. We recently moved because each year they raise the rent substantially. There is a new manager, who instituted an annual inspect your unit - not nice. There is a huge vacant lot in front of the property, in which plans are being made to construct another senior property. If that happens, that means possibly 2-5 years of noise. Construction. Construction workers, trucks. Parking which is hard to find now, would be worse.
