Property Ratings at Hillside Commons
The property is cleaned and maintained. Security is excellent, and there are multiple fun things to engage with when looking for something to do.
My experience at Hillside Commons started decent but now has not been pleasant. I’ve lived at this complex since 2020 and have been disappointed from every interaction with the employees and company as a whole. My most recent experience has shown me that they couldn't care less. I have the same continuing problem with my upstairs neighbors for months, close to a year, and yet nothing changes. I was told to record and send any nuisance and I've been doing so. I sent the videos as I was instructed to and was told that “ it appears to the coming from the washer or dryer”... It's never been the washer or dryer before. I explained it could not be the appliances, I was still being gaslighted. Every morning for months, I have been awakened by barking dogs, yelling, and other obnoxious sounds. They claim to inform them of the noise complaints and find them accordingly, and yet the neighbors seem to stomp deliberately and make noise all through the night and early in the morning. They offered another apartment but if the the buildings are the same then I will be experiencing the same thing. Already frustrating enough I have to move before my lease ends because I cannot be provided a quiet place to live. I also do not recall a notification that this complex does not have security anymore.Wi-fi doesn’t work if it rain too hard or if the sun is shining too much. I am already on my last fuse and will not be returning to this complex.
Fantastic service. Best I have had in Tuscaloosa so far.
They are just money hungry!! Will trick you into signing leases and actually not care about your feelings or opinions. First off, apartments are run down & horribly painted in the inside looks like my 3 year old niece done it. Tubs & multiple items are falling apart. Water pressure and temperature-HORRIBLE. They sugarcoat everything!! Show favoritism, whenever i reach out about my opinions I get ignored.
Horrible company greedy for money. They constantly lie and deceive students and parents into signing expensive leases and have no regard for their residents' safety, security or health. It's a shame on how nice they try to make it look from the outside but once you're actually living there it falls apart very quickly
Do not move here. New owners jacking up the price, closing off the fireplaces with bare metal not even bothering to paint. They shoukd be lowering the rent, not raising it. Obviously trying to drive out lower income renters trying to make ends meet. The rent is ridiculous given the condition of the apartments.
