Known for its lakefront location and welcoming community, Gainesville is a family-friendly city on one of Georgia’s premier lakes, Lake Lanier. Just north of the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus, this city offers a youthful atmosphere and affordable apartment and condo rentals. Gainesville provides public and charter schools in the Gainesville City School System and Hall County Schools.
Enjoy public access to the lake through multiple locations in Gainesville, such as River Forks Park. With a sandy beach on the water, residents and visitors can swim in the lake, access the boat ramp, use the campsites, and more. Though Longwood Park doesn’t have a sandy beach, it does have water access for swimming, as well as its own public dock.
Surrounding Gainesville Square, you’ll find Downtown Gainesville with plenty of shopping, local businesses, restaurants, and historical sites such as the Northeast Georgia History Center.

Property Ratings at Hillside Square
The actual neighbors are really nice people. The police has had to come around to disperse some neighbors who invite large groups of friends and pretty much host them in the common hall areas or right in the parking lot. Other than those occasions, the community is lovely. Management, on the other hand, is a whole different story. I feel bad dumping on the leasing agents and admin assistants who are the ones fielding for the actual property management. Those folks are doing their best; they can't do more than take messages and forward them - its the actual management that falls terribly short. There are SO many units with window ACs because everyone's HVAC is breaking. Someone will come out, poke at the unit, and then say they'll be back or it should start working again, but it never does. BTW, there's like two maintenance guys for both Hillside Square and its sister property Village Square. So it's hard to be mad at them because they're clearly understaffed. Two people for one property promising 24 hour maintenance is ridiculous. For TWO though? Hmm. And with the miserably hot and humid weather we've been getting for the past TWO years (yeah, I've been dealing with shoddy HVAC maintenance for TWO years, among other things), people can't be expected to wait on such slow repairs so they're getting window AC units. Management should reimburse everyone who has had to pay out of their own pockets for relief due to their own incompetence. I've also had the fun experience of having to deal with a massive ceiling leak (lasted for at least a month until recently) that required the use of a 5 gallon bucket which needed to be emptied on a daily basis. We had one of those wire shelves where we stored cleaning supplies collapse in the middle of the night due to the walls becoming waterlogged. Of course, there's also mold. We'll see how long it'll take for them to fix those walls and remove the mold. Elite Management Group should be ashamed of itself.

I like the Oconee Springs Apartments because is conveniently located near everything I need: Various supermarkets, pharmacies, and the hospital Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and the for me the parks, however for families with children I see schools and college is also nearby.
